Mission Doubleshot : 05

A man stood on the balcony, looking out. Enjoying the night breezed against his skin. Kenzo had slaughtered all the members of the Blood mafia, and now the chipset was safely in his hands. And with that, his mission was complete.

“Good evening, Beta. I would like to report that I have successfully killed Robert as you ordered. And now, the mind-control chipset is also in my possession,” Kenzo reported to his superior.

“And now I am at the headquarters in Moscow with several other members. I will rest here and return to headquarters tomorrow.” He continued.

Law, who was at headquarters, was very pleased with the news given by his protégé. He had made the right decision in recruiting Kenzo. “All right, we can indeed rely on you. Please get some rest and come back tomorrow.”

“Yes, Beta.” After that, the call was disconnected.

Immediately, the night wind blew against Kenzo's face again. He was overjoyed to have successfully completed his mission.

But of course, the success of his mission was inextricably linked to the intervention of his leaders. From the beginning, Alpha and Beta had always given him directions in completing this mission, so that in the end, he was able to complete everything well.

And because of this, he was even more proud to be able to join the mafia group led by Jeff and Law.

The two of them were truly his role models. Not only were they able to understand the situation well and anticipate many possibilities, but his leaders were also very supportive of him, especially after what happened a few years ago. All of this made him always eager to complete every mission.

“Huh... I guess taking a short break won't be a problem. It turns out that this headquarters in Russia is beautiful too.” He looked at the beautiful night view from the balcony. “And tomorrow I will return to headquarters—”

Kenzo's words were immediately interrupted when he remembered his boyfriend, who was from this country. He quickly typed a few messages and sent them to his boyfriend, Hans. 

His boyfriend was a hacker who worked directly under Jeff. He was the leader of the hackers. He had a pretty face, was a little shy but adorable, had a slim waist, and spoke firmly but humorously. He really missed his boyfriend.

Soon, his cell phone rang, signaling a reply from his boyfriend. Hans asked about his condition and also about the situation here. This was enough to make Kenzo miss his boyfriend.

He gazed out at the breathtaking Russian landscape tonight. It made him feel nostalgic when he was punished by Law in the past, a punishment for forcing himself to have a relationship with Hans, who was also a member. His struggle to date Hans had felt very difficult at the time, but all of that was now gone and replaced by extraordinary happiness.

“I really don't regret opposing Alpha and Beta back then just to be able to have you, Hans. I really love you, and wait for my return tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, in a hotel, Cylo was sitting on the edge of his bed. His gaze was blank, and his hands were clenched tightly. The news from his sister about Maki's death really hit him hard. They weren't close, but that man had been his partner. So he felt he had to take action regarding Maki's death.

In addition, this news also shook him mentally. He was always afraid of hearing about the death of someone he knew, and this stemmed from his past trauma. This made him unable to control his feelings and always feel responsible for the death. Moreover, Maki died while on a mission with him.

Of course, this was ironic considering that Cylo was a hitman. But this was the path he had chosen. To heal his trauma by doing the very thing he feared. And so far, it had worked, especially since the people he killed were not random, innocent people, but dirty people who polluted the world.

"You have to understand how difficult this mission is. And because of Maki's death, I want you to quit this mission and go home immediately. The situation is getting more dangerous now," Chelsea said to her younger brother. She didn't want any more casualties in the future. 

Cylo, who heard his sister's words, remained silent. He now truly realized how important and difficult this mission was. There were many people involved in the fight for the chipset, and they were all completely insane.

But he felt responsible for Maki's death and wanted to avenge his partner. Besides, he also didn't want the chipset to fall into the wrong hands. He had to destroy it.

“I'll book a ticket for you—”

“No, Chelsea. I'm going to continue this mission.” Cylo interrupted his sister. His mind was made up. Even if it meant sacrificing his own life, he had to destroy the chipset no matter what. And he also wanted to avenge Maki's death on the Blood mafia.

“But Cylo, things are very different now. There are other large mafia groups after the chipset, too. I'm really afraid if you—”

“Calm down, I'll definitely handle it well. You have to trust me.” Cylo had completely made up his mind. He would continue with this mission.

Chelsea let out a long sigh. If this were the case, she would no longer be able to stop her younger brother. “Huh... fine, I'll entrust this mission to you. And I'll immediately track down the location of the chipset.”

After that, Chelsea ended the call.

Suddenly, the hotel room felt quiet. Cylo's gaze was sharp, his hands clenched tightly, and his teeth gritted. His resolve was firm. He had to avenge Maki and destroy the chipset no matter what. In short, he had to succeed in this next experiment.

He got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom to clean himself up. Now, he just had to wait for news from his sister about the location of the chipset. And after that, he would go straight to destroy it.

“This time, I will finish everything properly. I won't waste time like before,” muttered Cylo as he stared at his reflection in the mirror.

Suddenly, he felt annoyed about his previous fight with the man in the black jacket. That arrogant man was really annoying because of him; he wasted time and lost a member of the Blood mafia. Really annoying. Next time, if he meets him again, he will make sure that man dies at his hands.

At the same time, in another hotel, Ivo was now focused on his gadget. He was utilizing all his hacking abilities to access electronic devices around the port, including residents' cell phones and CCTV cameras. He had completely lost track of the Blood mafia, so he had to search for them this way.

And after struggling with his gadget for a long time, he finally found a clue. The Blood mafia members had indeed succeeded in their mission to obtain the chipset, but they were slaughtered by a blonde man wearing a distinctive uniform. 

“Tsk, it's like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. Why do I have to deal with an even bigger mafia group?” he muttered angrily after finding out who the blonde man was.

It turned out that a large mafia group was also involved in the battle for the mind-controlling chipset, and it was their members who obtained it. This really annoyed him because that mafia group was even bigger and more vicious than the Blood mafia. Of course, this would make his mission this time even more difficult.

The Black Wolf mafia. A mafia group that was well-known in the underworld for its business and system. Their members were spread across several countries and ran dirty businesses. They were truly dangerous because it was said that if they targeted someone, they would relentlessly pursue them wherever they went, like wolves hunting their prey. 

And one thing Ivo knew about this mafia group was that they had two top leaders, known as Alpha and Beta.

“Huh... this is going to get more interesting,” he muttered, then went back to his gadget to search for more information about this mafia group.

And bingo, he finally found information that the Black Wolf mafia also had a branch headquarters in Moscow. This was a breath of fresh air for him because there was a high possibility that the chipset was still in this country. He couldn't afford to waste this opportunity because if the chipset was already at the main headquarters, it would be very difficult for him to destroy it. 

Ivo immediately got ready. He wore all black because he planned to infiltrate the headquarters that night. He also prepared several guns and other weapons. This time, he couldn't fail like before. He had to get that chipset no matter what.

Not forgetting, he also memorized the layout of the Black Wolf mafia headquarters in Moscow, then estimated the places that could potentially be used to store the chipset and took other things into account as well. Anything could happen on the battlefield, so he had to calculate everything so that his plan could be successful.

Ivo closed his eyes and tried to focus, thinking quickly. And after a while, he finally came up with several plans that he could carry out later. “Okay, it looks like I have a pretty high percentage of success for this opportunity.”

For a professional hacker like him, a mission that had been planned in such detail would be easier to carry out. Because, to be honest, he wasn't very good at carrying out field missions, which depended almost entirely on the situation at hand. He admitted that missions like that were difficult for him. 

But this time, the outcome would definitely be different because he had planned everything. He calculated all the possibilities and made several backup plans in case his original plan failed.

Ivo believed in himself and the plan he had made, which made him think his chances of getting the chipset were very high. Maybe around 70%.

“And if I meet that white-haired man again, I will really finish him off. He completely destroyed all the plans I had made. He's so annoying.”

Ivo grumbled as he recalled the earlier incident where he lost to the Blood mafia after someone challenged him to a fight. It was truly unforgivable.

His hands clenched into fists, and his gaze grew sharper. “I just met him, but he's already on the list of people I want to finish off. Fuck!”
