Alvin's POV
"I'm not Jaylen, I'm Hort," he said in a terrifying wolfish voice. The Alpha cleared its throat. A wolf shouldn't talk to its Alpha like that but Jaylen's father wasn't angered because he knew it might be because of the pain he just went through. "Hort are......." Before the Alpha had the chance to finish his sentence, the wolf, like a flash, ran and skipped the high fence of the pack house like it was nothing. Everyone of us was so shocked that we couldn't help but open our mouths wide but not for too long because they had to follow him. Some even had to use the gate instead of the fence. Even my father later told me that it wasn't so easy in his body flying the fence so fast like the seconds he landed. I didn't get to see what happened until the Alpha and my father entered the pack house bearing naked Jaylen in his hands. It was later Jaylen himself explained to me that it was a very little girl that he was going to run past that bowed even before he was close. It was then his wolf slowed and looked at her. She called him Alpha and all the terror in his body was calm and he was able to get control of his body with her voice. As from that time, Jaylen was feared due to his fierceness. Even when battling with enemies, he isn't afraid of entering their middle. He's been fighting war since age ten. Not that his father asked him. He went on his own accord. The Alpha was angry but was also proud at how he took them all down. His father gave him the title of the alpha officially at age eighteen and mine gave me the beta even though I wasn't ready. Jaylen was always so harsh on me but I was glad because I learnt a lot with him. When he became the Alpha, his rage fully came to blow. I do wonder why he is always angry and I've thought about it a thousand times, still came to no conclusion. I've tried to help him control it but nothing is working. Now he is going to unleash his anger on that poor old woman. I so much pity her but I don't pity the idiot that caused all these. She deserves everything the Alpha will do for her. Such a slut. I walked briskly to Sally's chambers because it's almost midnight and I needed to get home. I know Jaylen was intentionally keeping me here but I wasn't angry. I just want to get this done and leave. Me getting to Sally's door I knocked mildly because I knew the old woman would have probably been asleep. "Who's that?" I heard her small voice. It pained me that I had to wake her but I had no choice. If it was to be determined by me, I would treat the issue tomorrow but Jaylen is not a very patient person. "Alvin," I replied. "Come in the door is not locked". I walked in to see the old lady already seated. "Don't feel guilty. I wasn't asleep" she smiled. I sighed in relief. I've known Sally all my life. She's way older than our parents. We even heard that she was a warrior before she settled down to be the head maid of the pack house. She was working not for money but for idleness. She is someone who doesn't like to be idle neither will she allow anyone to be idle. "Why are you here sir?" She asked. I've told her to always call me by name but she wouldn't accept. "The Alpha sent me to get you" I replied. Sally looked at me to say more but I didn't. I wasn't ordered to tell her what happened and even if I was, I wasn't ready to scare the poor old woman. "Give me a few minutes to get dressed properly," she said. I nodded at her and I left. Sally's POV As I dressed to go see the Alpha, I was thinking about what could have happened that he couldn't wait till morning to summon me. I knew something was definitely wrong since it was his Beta that came to summon me himself. Even looking at the Beta's face, it was clearly explained that something is definitely wrong. "It couldn't be the interiors or could it?" I asked myself. "Or did Sam fail to send it?" The Alpha wouldn't make a big deal out of it. I don't even know what to think again. I know how cantankerous our Alpha is and I do avoid anything that would cause his rage on me. I knew he wouldn't be in his chambers because he scarcely allowed anyone in his chambers so I went to his office and I was right. Before I entered, I prayed that it wouldn't be that I had offended him. Jaylen's POV Alvin was seated patiently in front of me. He has received over ten calls from his mate. He kept on calming her down that he would soon be home and that was making me vexed. I think he shouldn't be pacifying her but telling her with a firm voice that he is coming home. I think all male who cower at the sight of their mates are weak. Even Hort agreed with me. I smelt Sally coming and I frowned. "Alpha" she bowed immediately when she came in. I looked at her for a while before I talked. I don't even need to say a word. I know she was feeling the heat of my glare and that she was still bowing her head. "Watch this" I put my phone on the table playing the video for her to see. She took the phone and I could see the utmost shock on her face. She started to cough and quickly paused the video. "Easy," Alvin said. "How dare you give out my private line to such an annoying person" I growled at her. Alvin was giving me a please take it easy look but I don't care. All I want is for them to fish out the silly girl who sent me this so I can rip her to two. "I'm so sorry alpha" she pleaded. She knew there's nothing she would say that would make sense to me right now. "I know I was the one who authorised you to give one who could help you my number but didn't I tell you to make sure you give it to someone you trust?" I asked firmly. " I did alpha," Sally said weakly. I could see that she was so devastated at what was happening. She was even shaking. "How could you trust a slutty one with my number?" I bawled. I was getting so angry. The image of the girl wouldn't even leave my head. I didn't watch it but the little I saw couldn't stop playing. "I.... I... I" she stuttered. "I gave it to the most decent lady I could think of. I didn't know she would even do this Alpha" she said, quivering. (She really feared for Sam. She didn't even fear her little life as much as she feared for the girl.) I snorted at that word. "If she's the most decent, then all my maids are all die hard prostitutes" I growled. " No Alpha. I'm really sure there is an explanation for this. She wouldn't have sent you this on purpose" she defended. (She herself didn't know if the girl could do it or not but she had to say something to ease the Alpha's rage. She was so disappointed and angry.) "She sure must have an explanation for this" I said glaring at her. " I'm ready......" I cut her off. "Say no more. Just make sure you provide me with this lady in my office first thing tomorrow morning. Else, I would have you serve her punishment" I said. I left the office without saying another word. I could hear Alvin sigh in relief.Ethan's POV I was about to go to the physician when I heard the conversation between him and Allison. The physician is a fool. How dare he say such a thing. I then knew Allison wouldn't sit back. I quickly ran back to go find my partner Drey. Then I met Sally on the way. "Sam is pregnant" I said not even waiting for her reply before I left. Sally already knew about Sam being Jaylen's true mate. She came to me and explained all and even told me that she knew Drey also knew about it. I was not surprised because Sally is also from the Gamma family. She might know. Now I was running to go find Drey. His lycan Prince has hijacked him all the while but then I needed him quickly. I wasn't even afraid to go to the lycan Prince's room to go get him. "Is Drey in there?" I asked the lycan Prince's guards. " Yes," he replied. "Can I please see him? It's a matter of urgency" I said hurriedly. The guards went inside and then came back with the lycan Prince and Drey. I would have mind linke
Allison's POV Looking at what Sam did in the dining room, I lost my appetite. That crazy girl with commotion. She's a bunch of bad luck. I was already pissed because Jaylen ignored me today. He wouldn't even introduce me to the lycan prince as his Luna to be. It isn't the fact that he ignored me alone but he made those two clowns Alvin and Ethan to make sure I didn't stand by his side. He wouldn't even let me sit beside him at dinner. I know that if Gerard was here today he wouldn't allow it. He would have even made sure that he mentioned it to the lycan Prince that I'm Jaylen's mate and Luna and j would be given the honor I deserve. I didn't know why he didn't show up today. This should have been a gathering they would be in. Then that drama Queen came with hers. I didn't know how the lycan Prince got to notice her. I was quite glad when she hid herself but then the drama came on. Immediately the dinner ended, I made sure to make my way to the clinic before Jaylen got a chance to
Samantha's POV I quickly removed my cap and covered the vomit so as not to make them see it. I was so ashamed of myself. "I'm so sorry" she said shakingly. I couldn't even look up. I was just crying. It was as if Sally and the rest were expecting such a thing to happen. The maids quickly ran to start cleaning up. I always do what will make people hate me the most. I briefly looked at Jaylen but I couldn't read the expression on his face. Then I mean it to be that he is so disappointed with me. Sally really told us how we need to behave better with the lycan prince here. I didn't hear the lycan Prince say more. "Take her to the clinic" I heard Jaylen's bland voice. I was not happy with the way he said what he said but then I was still glad that he didn't scold me in front of everyone. Two maids came to help me up and then escorted me to the clinic. "Apologies Sir, she was fine before now" I heard Sally say. I didn't hear anything else. My tears wouldn't stop falling till we go
Samantha's POV My parents were not happy about me insisting on staying at the pack house to continue my job. They tried to talk me out of this, especially my mother. "Samantha, you can't do this to me" she wept. I have never seen my mother cry so hard but then I thought of what Sally and Cleo told me. I just wish it's worth the pain I'm taking my parents through, especially my mother. I got to know about what they went through when I was in a coma. It was so painful that I myself wept. I wish there was another way we could solve all these issues. After much persuasion, I prevailed. They let me return to the pack house but after I promised I would stay away from Jaylen and his mate. Even if they didn't tell me to promise, I have promised myself. It's not as if it's been easy for me staying at the pack house because people won't stop mocking me. They thought I was greedy for Jaylen's attention. I turned deaf ears to all but then I missed Jaylen so much. I didn't hesitate to avo
Jaylen’s POV Looking in the direction, I saw he was talking about Sam. Something seems to be wrong with her. She was sweating profusely. "Is she crying?" Brock asked. That's what I thought too but then I saw that she was sweating profusely. It's as if she's choking on something, I then thought that she might not have fully recovered from the blow she received days ago. I was just looking at her, I couldn't say anything. "The drama Queen has started" Allison said and I glared at her. Everyone's attention was on Sam. I could see sadness in her eyes but then something was definitely wrong with her. "What's her name?" Brock asked. I felt like not telling him but then I can't disobey him else I'm calling for trouble. I do not know why he is noticing her. I didn't like it at all. "Sam," I said grudgingly. "Sam!" Brock called and she looked at him. She then looked at me. I could see fear in her face. She folded her lips tightly like she didn't want to speak. "What's wrong with yo
Jaylen's POV I miss Sam so much. I left the pack for over three days now just because I want to clear my head. I also miss my mate. My wolf Hort was longing for both. My life seems in shambles. The moon goddess that made my mate not to come knew what she was doing. Now I have a mate and then I'm confused. I joined the workers at the site to do their minimal job. This I was doing so I would be able to clear my mind but then I wouldn't stop thinking about my situation. Alvin and Ethan have been of great help to me as my subordinates but then I needed the peace of my mind. The work at the construction site was going at a very fast pace, being that we are more agile than the strongest human. Looking at the massive buildings, I know that in a few weeks we will be done. Well today, there's an important event that will make me go home. I didn't want to but I don't have a choice here. The lycan Prince is visiting today. He was sent to come see how we are treating the lycans working with u
