Chapter 52 pt. III

Jenkins had a wide smile looking at that hardened expression on his cousin’s face. He wonders if that’s the face Charles would make.

“Where the hell did you send Stella, Jenkins?” Jason gritted his teeth but Jenkins was always the calm little guy but his smile wiped off.

“I send her away from here, away from pain,” he answered. “You’ll never find her unless she wants to be found again.”

“You’re too young to be doing this, Jenkins!”

“I am but you also know what I am capable of, don’t you?”

Jason sucks in air sharply while looking away. There was no way he can spill it out of Jenkins if he approaches him this way.

“Did she say anything before leaving?” he asked, swiftly changing the mood.

“Nothing for you.”

“Not even Charles? Crolletta? For you?”

“I have conversed with her and I will continue to. So, why would she need to say something to me?” He flashes a quick smile. “As for Crolletta, grandma slapped Stella for losing the baby and Charles, he--”

“She lost the baby?” Jason's eyes grew
