Chapter 2: Going Home

One day before New Year

(Country H)

Zandro settled everything for his company before flying to Country Z for New Year's Eve. He is very efficient and strict when it comes to his work so naturally, he needed to settle unfinished business first before going back and it will take him a couple of days before he will be finished it, taking a vacation means he will be left with a lot of unsigned documents after.

So everything that's left unsigned yesterday was taken priority by him today if this means he will be at the company over time he will do it. Zandro is a workaholic person since he was single so he spends his time making money at such an early age their parents have trained them to know the value of money, hard work, and consistency.

He was busy signing documents when a  disturbing noise caught his attention outside his office, he wants to go out to take a look but he just shrugged his shoulder... Work is more important than any distractions, he said to himself while reading the documents. Just as he was so engrossed with his work when he was disturbed by a woman who was elegantly walking toward his table, wearing a skimpy dress that shows her very sexy, and voluptuous body. With her shoulder-level curly blonde hair. It was Cheska, the only daughter of his business partner Mr. Knight. Well, he can say that she is his admirer but he always tells her to stop. He's not into her.

"What are you doing here?!" Zandro asks her as he can't hide his irritation with her.

"Well, I come here because I want to visit you! What's wrong with that?" Cheska was seated in front of him. Cheska Knight is the only daughter of his business partner Director Arthur Knight.

He can say that Cheska bluntly admits that she wants me but honestly he was a little rude to her it's because he is not interested in her. She is younger by 5 years, she is undoubted beautiful too, came from a decent family and more importantly, she is honest about what she feels about him.

Even though it's like that he can't teach his heart to love her, that's the reason why Zandro always tells her to back off. But Cheska grows up with them, she's Jules's classmate actually but she chose to study here at Country H. Every time she's free she makes sure to have time to visit Zandro in his company, so everyone assumed that they are together.

"Let's have dinner?" she said.

Zandro looks at her, about to turn down her offer.

"Go and disturb Jules not me, I'm busy!" Zandro said.

"Rude, Brute! I don't want Jules... I want to have dinner with you! Not Jules or anyone!" She said, clasping her hand to release her frustrations. She clasps and unclasps her hands until it was white, she was having a hard time now bearing Zandro's coldness.

"How many times do I need to tell you... I'm not going to have a relationship with anyone... Do you understand my words? Or you want me to spell it out for you!" Cheska's face can't hide her sadness anymore, she was about to cry but she controlled her emotions. She doesn't want him to see how pitiful she was.

"I can't teach my heart to like others! Since then Dave you know that you are the only one that I adored. Since our childhood, I already told you directly!" Cheska prepared herself to leave his office.

Zandro became stiff, how can he explain to the lady that he is not interested to have a relationship with anyone, he doesn't want to have an intimate relationship with anyone because he hurt once and he doesn't want to experience it again.

"Forget those feelings and we can be friends..." Cheska stopped as she was about to head for the door, she stopped back to face him, she doesn't have the strength to face him anymore.

"My head and my heart is the only thing I had, for now, Please don't command me on what to feel and who to love!" As she walks away from him. 

Zandro was left speechless all of a sudden! Is he that rude now? Darn! He went back to his work as if his concentration was already carried by her. This is the first time Cheska became that serious! he didn't expect to see hurt in her eyes... She never gets sad when he teases her she always takes challenges but after that, he became more relaxed on talking to her. She is a spoiled lady of the Knights Family and she knows that every time he talks to her and the way he treated her is always like that. He doesn't know why she is so sensitive today... Did he go far this time? Maybe he is... But he needs to do that to wake her up from her fantasy!

Zandro just shrugged at what happened and continue his work as planned it took him overtime before he finished everything. 

He prepared himself to leave his office when he called at The Bros Club to have dinner there he ordered the usual (medium-rare roast beef, mashed potato, and wine).

The Bros Club is a high-end club, a club that he and his friend Marky newly built. Since their market is for people of high status, you can only dine there when you make reservations and appointments. And availing of their membership card is worth a million bucks.

They have a branch on Country Z already but the one on Country H is the main branch.

After taking calls to The Bros club Zandro went to the parking lot where his color black Bugatti's La Voiture Noire that worth $19 Million. Coming from the stables of a French luxury sports cars brand. Remain the most expensive cars ever produced.

Comfort, class, a super engine, or an unusual design these supercars are a rarity because they come at enormous prices. All are the most elegant species of cars produced and have limited editions and from the stables of luxury car manufacturers. 

Do you want to get one of these? but sadly, Bugatti only produced one of its kind. Zandro rides to his car and is followed by his bodyguards afterward. They headed to The Bros.

Marky prepared his suit as he called a while ago, on the eyes of the people Marky is the owner of the bros, they didn't know he has a partner behind him. No one knows it was he. Upon arriving at the place Marky looks for them immediately and assists them from their private rooms.

"Zandro! What's up buddy?" Marky yelled when he comes near him and patted his shoulder.

"You know why I'm here right?" He went there to eat and nothing more. He glances at him coldly.

"C'mon bro! I thought you came here to sign some documents! You've been on hiatus for a long time now, so why not come and help me..." Marky said pitifully.

"It's your responsibility, not mine!" Marky can't refute his statement now. He knows him well Zandro is not in the mood for a joke... Maybe there are some problems with his company.

"What happened? It seems that you're not in your mood today..." Marky said seriously.

"Cheska went to my office a while ago." Marky swallowed as he can't even say a word right now. As he can see it they have arguments today. Cheska is not bad for him after all and they know her already since they were a child but he also knows that he just treated her as a little sister since he doesn't have a girl sibling. So he always bluntly refuse her.

"What did you do to her this time?" Marky said accusing him, he looks at him raising his eyebrow and casting a cold glance.

"What! She was the one coming in my place, offering herself! Of course, I declined her!" Zandro reasoned out defensively. He is not that rude... Or was he?! So what?

"Bro! That was rude...You can just tell her that you have no time or better yet just invite her here!" Zandro glanced him straight in the eye and said.

"Are you interested in her?!" Reading him if he's guilty.

"Hell no! but she's a lady and being rude to her is against our rule as a man..." Marky makes him understand the lesson in what he said.

" Alright, now I got it! Can you leave the hell out of me now?!" Zandro said as he dismissed him.

"I'm not your subordinates, darn it!" he responded, and he's used to it already.

Zandro just looks at him coldly.

"Alright, You won!" he said both arms raised meaning he is accepting defeat, as he exited Zandro's private room to go back to his office. 

Marky instructed his employees to prepare Zandro's meal and the employees prepare it immediately.
