Chapter 3: Behind

"How can this be?! I thought that woman is beautiful enough to make him submit to her and he didn't even smile at her all this time?! She has been with Mariano's son for a long time now she can't even make Zandro fall in love with her? What a useless craft! Get the fuck all of you out here, NOW!" Walter yelled as he was about to burst from anger.

He lifts the goblet of wine and throws it into the room he was in, the assistant tilted his head and dodged the goblet fell to the ground, and shattered. The debris bounced off the floor and hits his thigh. It didn't hurt, but he still frowned.

He took a step back and didn't say anything else, letting Walter smash things to his heart's content.

After a while, Walter finally stopped. He lowered his arms and clasped his hands on the desk, his chest constantly rising and falling, showing that he was still suppressing his anger.

The assistant waited a moment and saw Walter did not want to speak, so he squatted on the ground and began to clean up.

Walter quickly calmed down. After that, he slowly walked to the chair behind the desk and sat down.

Towards, the assistant, who was tidying up the room, he didn't even take a glance. He had already gotten used to it.

Walter is also an Acceturo, the younger brother of Mariano, he is the most ruthless but brainless when it comes to strategies for his enemy and has a criminal mind in the family. He is always the vicious one because of jealousy.

He treated Mariano as an enemy because most of the time he is always the most intelligent in the family aside from that he wins over Divine Grace, and love, while he was a failure.

He never had the so-called security since then, he was heartbroken by her. Divine Grace is his light in the road he chose... They were supposed to be married by now but she was snatched by his older brother. Yes, it's true... Mariano is his only brother but things became so complicated between them now.

All he wants now is to take back what he once own! And not only that, he needed to snatch everything that his brother has! He will start with his eldest son! In this life being an enemy in secret is the most effective way to defeat an enemy.

All he wants now is to make Mariano's life a living hell! He will never give him a good life... As long as he suffers in this life he swears to do everything to make Mariano's existence, a hell too. In this world, there are two kinds of people the good and the bad. Walter became the latter because of his experience.

When he was little he is an obedient child, everything that his older brother told him. He believes it without a doubt because he loves him and they are brothers above all he believes in, saying blood is thicker than water.

Mariano is older than him by 4 years and Divine Grace is his classmate in grades school, mid-school, and college at that time, they became friends, and became boyfriends, and girlfriends when they were in college. But life tested their relationship and things became so hard, he became lost, hurt, and vulnerable!

And his only brother had caused it!

The excruciating pain that has happened makes him the monster he was now, he never cares whether his family member is the victim of his wrath! He became numb and callous in the heart, he believes that the price of trusting people is betrayal and heartache.

Why is it that it's so hard to let her go? She is married now for God's sake! And has 5 children ... As he tells that to himself... With his hands grasped close to his side, he feels so helpless, why not him? They became together for almost half of his life and moving on without her is death for him!

For now, he needed to plan his next step!

"Boss, he will be going back this New Year... And I think your brother will make him stay in Country Z for time being!" As Walter reminisced about the past the assistant had to break the silence in the room and the atmosphere turned heavy and cold. He smirks a little as he said.

"Then I can give them a surprise visit!" This is his opportunity to see her again! The smile faded and became a dangerous warning.

It's been 20 yrs and it's time to show himself to everyone his existence.

"Boss, I heard that they will be hosting a party after New Year. I can arrange your flight back to Country Z if you want to attend the banquet." The assistant reminds him as he trembled, sweat on his palm because his boss glance at him, and he can't stand his threatening eyes as if they can swallow him whole.

The assistant gulped down, in fear of his Boss.

"Alright, now get out!" Walter shouted and stretched his arms pointing at the door.

The assistant leaves his office with confusion, "Is it alright mean he will arrange a flight for him? Or alright for just informing him..." Naaahhh! Sometimes it is difficult for him to understand the behavior has his boss! He shrugged his shoulder and went to his cubicle. He will just wait for his instructions.

Walter spends his time thinking if he will attend the banquet arranged by his brother or not. He didn't know if he can act normal in front of the people who hurt him. All these years he never dared to face them, it is because he was still in the shadows of the past! He can't just forget the past as if nothing, it ruined his life! And all he has now is the will to REVENGE!

He can't stop thinking that if he was strong enough before to go against the clan, he and Divine would live the life that he longed for these days.

That is why he hates his brother so much and with the power that he has now, we'll be mine in no time! And He has decided he will go back to Country Z this coming New year.

"Arranged all my appointments early! I'll attend the Banquet arranged by Mariano!" Walter calls his assistant to inform him. Walters's assistant is very loyal to him he works for him for a long time now and even though his Boss is quickly changing his mood. His honesty is always on him.

"Alright Boss! I'll do it right away... Is there anything else?" the assistant asks.

"That's all for now... And by the way, prepare my gifts for everybody!" He said with a devilish smirk his eyes flash with a demonic light and the smell of revenge is in the air.

He immediately hangs up the intercom and prepared to go out to find a place to figure out if he is determined enough to face them! He decided to drive his car into a resort where he usually hangs out to loosen his guard down a bit.

Nobody knows about his fortress here aside from him. He is getting old now and of course, he wants to be reunited with his family. Or is he prepared emotionally with the idea of reuniting with them?

Did the time come that he needs to face his family? Are they a family? for him, they no longer exist. All of the humiliation of the past makes him stronger now or is he ready to meet his beloved again?

Going back to Moover City is a big decision for him, he knows that it will never be going, to be easy at first. He will be needing a lot of courage and patience to meet his loving brother and his wife!

As he thinks of the upcoming reunion he feels as if he is short of breath, maybe because of the pain and trauma it cost him. Walter felt like suffocating seeing them together is killing his heart with a dagger little by little! The hurt is hard to bear. The fact that his brother betrayed him is another thing. He trusted him! But how can he do this to him?!

Everything that happened is trying to come back as if it just happened yesterday. Why is it so hard to move on? Why is it so hard to accept? She was the only one he sympathized with during the time he was down and no one else understand him. Except for Divine.

But she leaves me and chooses his brother, how unfair is that.

He still longed for her until this time, even though things change her pulls on him, her effect are like a drug to him, hard to come by, hard to forget.

He was his angel but it turns out she was the reason for him to be drowned it despair and heartache. His lifeline.
