Dylan removed his jacket and wrapped it around Selena.

“Dylan!”

Selena’s voice cracked as she buried herself in his arms, trembling like a leaf.

“It’s over now,” Dylan whispered gently, but his icy stare pinned Harvey to the floor. The man lay there dazed, still unsure of what had just happened.

Dylan straightened, his voice cold and sharp. “From this moment on, the Edwards Group cuts all ties with the Walters Group.”

The room fell silent, apart from the clicks of cameras. The reporters, still holding their mics, seemed frozen.

“Get out,” Dylan ordered, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Grabbing Selena’s hand, he guided her out of Havier’s hotel. Everything had happened so fast that the crowd barely reacted.

But the reporters quickly swarmed Cassidy. Flashbulbs popped, microphones shoved in her face.

“Miss Williams, how does it feel to see your rival humiliated?”

“You were Dylan’s wife six years ago. What do you think of his new girlfriend?”

“Do you know anything about Selena?”

Cassidy’s eyes darkened. She pulled Rodel close, shielding his ears. “Clear the way, or there will be consequences.”

The reporters hesitated. They knew Rodel’s identity—and that the Helton Group’s power rivaled the Edwards.

On the second floor, Noel and Nardy peeked from behind a door, hearts pounding.

“Nardy, Mom and Dad Helton already left,” Noel whispered.

“Let’s go home now. If Mom finds out we stayed, she’ll explode!”

But heavy footsteps echoed down the hall.

“What happened? Why did the lights go out?”

“I don’t know, Mr. Farrell. Someone cut the power… but nothing showed on the cameras.”

A tall man in a white suit strode into view. Ben Farrell—the city’s hotel king, known for his charm and ruthless streak. The boys exchanged a worried glance and held their breath.

“Strange. Not even the cameras caught the culprit,” Ben mused, his eyes sharp and cold beneath his smile.

Nardy’s voice shook. “We’re in trouble.”

“Maybe we can apologize with gifts?” Noel suggested nervously.

But before anyone else spoke, Ben slapped his bodyguard across the face. The sound cracked through the hallway.

“You think these people need gifts?” Ben snapped, frustration burning in his eyes.

Suddenly, he kicked open the door. Noel flinched, raising his arms to protect himself as the door rebounded.

Ben squinted, spotting the boys crouched behind the door.

For a second, his coldness softened into surprise. “Well, look at that. Brave little spies.”

“Where are your parents?” he asked with a smirk.

“Run, Nardy!” Noel shouted.

Nardy sprang up, kicking at Ben’s side. Ben caught the boy’s leg with ease, but in that split second, both kids bolted.

Ben’s grin widened. “Clever. Catch them!”

The bodyguards chased after them, but Noel and Nardy dashed down the stairs, out the door, and toward a sleek Ferrari parked outside.

Without a word, Nardy jumped behind the wheel and slammed on the gas.

The car screeched away as the bodyguards burst out the door—too late.

Ben appeared beside them, watching the taillights disappear into the night.

His eyes narrowed, a dangerous smile curling on his lips.

“Now this… just got interesting.”

“They got away, Mr. Farrell,” a bodyguard reported, catching his breath.

Ben’s eyes stayed fixed on the empty street, the anger fading from his face, replaced by something more dangerous—curiosity.

“Two kids… one of them knew martial arts… and could drive a Ferrari?” Ben muttered under his breath, a crooked smile forming. “Now that’s not something you see every day.”

He turned to his men. “Pull the nearby road footage. I want to know exactly who we’re dealing with.”

“Yes, sir.”

Meanwhile, inside the speeding car, Noel finally exhaled. His heart still raced.

“Nardy… we can’t keep driving this car. That man’s going to check the cameras for sure,” Noel warned.

Nardy nodded, already pulling over. “You drive. I’ll mess with the system.”

The twins quickly switched seats. As Noel gripped the wheel, Nardy opened his laptop, fingers flying over the keys.

Nardy's eyes widened as he checked the time. “Uh-oh… we’ve got ten minutes before Mom gets home.”

“Then buckle up!” Noel stomped on the accelerator as Nardy hacked into the surveillance system, blocking camera feeds along the route.

Back at Havier’s Hotel, a staff member rushed to Ben. “Sir… there’s something strange. The surveillance on the surrounding streets… it’s all malfunctioning.”

Ben’s eyes sparkled with amusement. His smirk returned. “Interesting… very interesting.”

Ten minutes later…

Cassidy stepped out of Rodel’s car in front of her house.

“Cassidy,” Rodel offered with a gentle smile, “How about working at my company? You’ll be safe there.”

Cassidy smiled faintly, but her answer was clear. “Thank you… for everything today. But… I’m not ready for that.”

“You don’t have to decide now,” Rodel replied softly. His eyes lingered on her, warm but patient. “I’ve waited six years. I can wait a little longer… or even forever.”

Cassidy’s heart squeezed at his words. She hugged him briefly. “Thank you… truly.”

“You don’t have to thank me. Go see Noel and Nardy. I’ll enroll them in the hospital kindergarten soon.”

“Alright… take care,” Cassidy said, turning toward the door.

The moment she opened it, a small figure stood there holding a glass of milk.

“Welcome home, my queen,” Noel announced dramatically, bowing like a little gentleman, his cheeks flushed from running.

Cassidy’s eyes softened as she knelt down, brushing his hair back. “My sweet boy… I love you so much.” She chuckled. “Feeling confident, are we?”

“It’s just hot… we’ve been… uh… playing,” Noel stammered, avoiding her gaze.

From the kitchen, Nardy appeared, wiping flour off his hands. “Mom, how was your night?”

Cassidy smiled, her eyes sparkling. “Messy… but not the worst night I’ve had.”

Later, after freshening up, Cassidy emerged from the bathroom, only to find Nardy handing her a laptop.

“Mom… are you really going to work at Daddy Helton’s company? If it’s too much, you can say no.”

Cassidy smiled at her son’s concern, but there was pride in her eyes. “Why wouldn’t I? Besides, I have to take care of you two.”

The truth was, in the design world, Cassidy was a hidden legend—the elusive “Queen” who never appeared in public. The nickname? Nardy and Noel’s idea.

To the world, she was a mystery. To her sons, she was everything.

And soon… her hidden talent was about to collide with the dangerous world outside their door.

And this time… hiding wouldn’t be an option.

Still angry at Nardy, I decided to make him feel a little embarrassed. I smiled sweetly at Yuval and thanked him in a playful way.Even though Nardy stayed quiet, I could feel his cold energy getting stronger.“Looks like most of the seats are taken. Since I’m alone, it’s easier for me to sit with both of you. You don’t mind, do you?” Nardy said casually as he sat next to me.The moment he sat down, the tension in the air was thick. I really didn’t like him sitting close to me, and the whole situation was already awkward enough.Yuval’s expression changed slightly. He frowned when Nardy sat next to me, but he didn’t say anything. I felt sorry for him. No one would be happy if their date was interrupted by another man. Nardy had really crossed the line this time.I tried to ignore Nardy and avoided looking at him. I knew if I mocked him again, he wouldn’t let me get away with it. So, I focused on finishing my meal quickly, hoping to leave with Yuval soon.“Shayeen, did you get my flowe

Nardy gave me a cold look and said, "Make sure this is the first and last time. If it happens again, you're fired!"I stared at him as he stormed into his office and slammed the door. I was really angry and thought to myself, "He's overreacting! Other people have gotten flowers from their boyfriends before, but he didn’t say anything to them. Why is he picking on me? He embarrassed me in front of everyone!"When the door slammed, Millie looked at me with sympathy and whispered, “Shayeen, are you okay? Mr. Edwards really scared me when he yelled at you!”“Everyone has a bad mood sometimes, but he needs to know he’s being annoying too!” I said, still upset.Millie looked at the roses in the trash and sighed. “Such a shame. Your boyfriend must have spent a lot on those flowers!”Seeing the roses in the trash made me even more upset, remembering how Nardy yelled at me earlier. I felt embarrassed and angry. Why was he making a big deal out of nothing?I turned away from the roses and said,

Leaning closer to me, the man whispered sensuously in my ear.His slender finger traced the outline of my face and moved downward, causing my skin to heat up wherever it went.I knew I could easily lose myself in his tantalizing touch. With the last bit of sensibility, I pushed him away and stammered, "I... I'll take a shower now."My heart raced as I hurried into the bathroom. Frustrated with my own vulnerability in our relationship, I cursed myself for being so easily stirred by him. As I undressed and stood under the warm water, the anticipation of what was to come both unsettled and excited me.After half an hour, I turned off the water and realized I had forgotten to bring my pajamas.Nardy had wrapped himself in a towel, leaving the bathroom with only that. Feeling stuck and vulnerable, I paced nervously, unable to bring myself to move around naked, despite him having seen every inch of my body.

I didn’t look away from Nardy’s gaze. Even though his intense presence scared me, I refused to back down.“I’ll show you that the little lawyer doesn’t deserve your affection.”He said that, then turned and left. After leaving the office, I stopped by the supermarket to buy some groceries before heading back to the house in Birchwood. At home, I washed my hands and started cooking dinner. I was so used to living with Creza that I made two servings out of habit. As I sat at the table, staring at the extra food, my heart tightened.I took a deep breath and tried to stop thinking about anything upsetting. I picked up my fork and started eating. Just then, I heard the door open.I was startled and turned toward the door.Living alone made me feel uneasy, especially at night. There were always stories about break-ins and women being attacked in their homes.I tend to have a wild imagination, so I felt a bit nervo
