Chapter Twelve

CHAPTER 12

"Wakey Wakey, sleepy head," Karissa said in a sing-song tone in my ear, her breath brushing against my cheek.

I groaned awake and sat up. Karissa sat up too and grinned down at me. She was sitting beside me on an unfamiliar bed, in a small unfamiliar room that was painted a light green color.

"Slept well?" She asked, still smiling. There was a manic gleam in her eyes that terrified me. I knew without a doubt that she was a nutcase. A dark and powerful nutcase and I were so screwed.

"Why am I here? What do you want with me?" I asked, trying to control my fear. I wasn't one to panic easily, but being in the presence of a dark, powerful, and crazy witch in an unknown Location was enough to scare me like hell.

Karissa gave me a look that said, 'did you hit your head?' before answering, "I already told you, baby girl. I want to train you. Your powers are going to do things for me that I couldn't achieve alone, even with my powers."
