"Your magic is a part of you as I'm sure you would know by now. You don't need to think too hard about it. Now, what I want you to do is create monsters in your head, including every quality you want them to have, then summon them into being."

Karissa teaching me magic with patience wasn't something I had expected. It was scaring me because it could mean that she planned to keep me here for a long time.
