Chance’s POV I had been waiting in the shadows of the night, with Sal, behind Alpha Hunter, just in case the Moon Witch got passed him with Celeste, but I never imagined that they would have disappeared in thin air. “I thought you said that the Moon Witch’s powers wouldn’t work here.” I said to Sal in complete shock. Before he could answer me, I heard my mate screaming, and knew I had to get to her. Appearing from the shadows, I raced towards Willow who was now in Shawn’s arms, as he tried to comfort her. Willow kept crying out “No” as Shawn held her close and rubbed her back. “The Moon Witch didn’t take her.” A younger man said from beside Willow, and I knew this had to be Sal’s brother, and Celeste’s mate, Ash. “What do you mean the Moon Witch didn’t take her. I saw it with my own eyes.” Alpha Hunter said as he moved over towards us. “Celeste took her.” Ash says and Sal comes up behind me and says, “He’s right. Celeste had to of been the one that took her. The Moon Witch’s
Willow’s POV To say that I felt sated by my mates as we all fell asleep holding each other last night was an understatement. I had needed both of my mates, not just in mind, but also in body and soul after what had happened to Celeste. I needed to know that we were all here together and I had them here safe with me. As I woke up this morning, all I could think about was Celeste and what I could do to bring her back here to us. The look on Ash’s face last night told me that he wasn’t going to let that realm be closed with her in it but he was only one warlock standing against his Covenant and I knew he didn’t stand a chance on his own. Slowly getting out of bed so as not to disturb my mates, I quickly got dressed and headed to find Ash. Getting out of the house undetected was easy, due to the fact that everyone was still asleep from last night’s events. When I opened the door to the house, I was surprised to see that Ash was sitting on the steps staring at the spot where Celeste h
Willow’s POV It took no convincing on my part to get Luna Rayne to allow us to borrow her moonstone. In fact, she was even willing to help in any way possible she could with her own moon magic because Celeste was Sal’s brother’s mate and she didn’t want her friend’s little brother hurting. When I returned to Sal’s lair, I had Luna Rayne in tow with me and Sal looked happy to see her. “I hear we have a rescue mission. Count me in.” Luna Rayne tells Sal and he smiles at his friend knowing that she has his back too. “Thank you, Luna Rayne.” Alpha Hunter says to her and she gives him a smile and says, “Ridgewood will always have your back and the Sun Witches. We are more of a family then just neighboring communities and I want happiness for us all.” Luna Rayne couldn’t have said it better and she would have been a wonderful High Priestess of our Covenant but that was taken from her. It was okay because she chose to be a Luna instead with her mate Alpha Reese. I’m starting to belie
Willow’s POV A few days have passed since we sealed the Moon Witch in her realm and thankfully Celeste has kept in contact with me and she is doing well. She has decided to stay with Ash for the time being and plans on visiting Alpha Hunter so she can get to know him. What Luna Ella did for her that day showed that she accepts Celeste into their family and I hope that Celeste will give her the chance to become a stepmother to her. Which leads me to what is to happen to myself today. My nerves were on edge, knowing that I was going to meet my real father today. Alpha Chance and Alpha Shawn have continuously reassured me that I have nothing to worry about but I can’t help worrying about being rejected by him, like I had been with the man that had raised me all those years. I wanted nothing more than to have a parent that would accept me for who I am. As I sat outside on the back patio at the table, I had to wonder what he looks like and if he would accept me after he sees how much
Willow’s POV My paws pounded against the earth beneath me and the crisp morning air flows through my black, red tipped fur as I took my morning run through the mountain side as I do every morning in hopes to relieve myself from the burden that lays upon my shoulder from being born into this world knowing now that I was unwanted. More than a year has passed since our Covent fled the town of Canyon Ridge and has since returned to a more peaceful means of life. I was only seventeen at the time that we were bussed to the Red Moon pack for our safety and a part of me feels like it was left there. It was the last time I could remember my family as a whole. Thankfully the war against Joshua was won before I turned eighteen and I was introduced to what my other side was and had the knowledge given to me of what to expect when my wolf side finally showed herself on my eighteenth birthday. Alpha Conner and his Beta Ethan have been there for me and so has Emma the Beta’s mate and our new H
Willow’s POV The walk to the packhouse took me about an hour on human legs but that was okay because I needed time to process what just happened. It was as if a burden had been lifted off my shoulders walking out of that house and a sense of relief washed over me. For over a year now I have endured the painful memories of my father leaving and my mother’s anger towards me for it. Every day was a constant memory that I wasn’t wanted and that all I was good for was helping to keep a roof over the head of the person that gave birth to me. But now I was free from all of that and even if Alpha Chance won’t take me into his pack, I will find a way to survive without going back to that hell that I had lived. The lane to the packhouse came in sight and I could feel the eyes of the patrol on me as I walked up the lane to the house and I knew that they were all looking at me in judgement. Warning of my arrival must have gotten back to the house because when I approached the house Luna stood
Willow’s POV Finally, we made it to Crescent Moon packhouse and it had to be the largest packhouse I had ever seen. I was aware that two packs had combined under one roof because Luna Ella was mated to both the Crescent and Blue Moon pack’s Alphas, one being Alpha Conner’s half-brother. Alpha Conner was the only one of us hybrids that knew who their biological father was, and in a way, I was a little jealous of him. His father had welcomed him with open arms and so did his entire family of siblings. I could only hope someday that I too could find my biological father and he would accept me as his daughter and welcome me into his family too. As Luna and Alpha opened their doors to exit the SUV, I looked up at the massive steps that led into the packhouse and saw Alpha Caleb standing at the top of the stairs ready to welcome his brother Alpha Conner. My door opened and Luna said, “Willow you can get out of the vehicle.” “I’m sorry Luna.” I said as I stepped out of the vehicle with my
Willow’s POV It didn’t take long to unpack what little bit of clothes I had. The closet was huge and what little I had to fill it looked pitiful but of course I wondered if anyone had enough clothes to fill it. I picked out my best pair of yoga pants and sports bra and put them on to get ready to go to training and pulled my long black hair up into a high ponytail. When I looked into the mirror to make sure that I looked okay I realized that I had lost a lot of weight recently and that you could see my ribs, but my arms and legs were lean muscle. I debated about putting a shirt on over the sports bra but decided against it due to the fact that I felt restricted in it when I trained. Looking at the clock I noticed that I had an hour before training started and I decided to go out for a quick run to loosen my muscles before training began. I remember some of the trails that were around the packhouse from the last time I was here and decided to stick to them until I got more familiar
