Caleb’s POV

Her words had struck me like a lifeline. Ella still had feeling for me or she would have never reacted that way. Clearly you can tell that she is at war with her wolf and her feelings for Hunter and myself. Her wolf has chosen Hunter as her mate where I believe Ella’s human side had fallen for me. With that I would have to have patience and give her time to realize her feelings in the hope that she will return to me one day.

“Our agreement earlier.” Hunter began to say as I turned to look at him.

“What about our agreement?” I ask him confused on which agreement and why he is bringing this up now.

“I want to give you the choice to keep the Alpha title and your lands without having to ally with me. What you did by saving Ella is more than enough payment for the land and your title.” Hunter explains to me, and it makes me wonder if he is doing this to keep me away from Ella or if he truly appreciates that I saved her life.
