Three years later...

NOAH P. O. V

"Nah. Toby. Your obsession is driving me insane."

He said rounding the University dramatically for the tenth time to day... Ugh, imagine the exhaustion they suffered after hours day of walking around the university. In reality this is to be the second time moving to third round around the university just for an off chance they spot a guy. His best friend Toby has been obsessed with a guy who was their senior in their previous highschool and is said to have come to this particular university.

"Thank you for coming to Moon University with me. I know you could have gone anywhere. Thank you for being a good friend, you even follow me through my walk to my destiny."

"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah Toby, I came for the front seat to watch your drama besides you my friend are our packs gullible omega whom I can stand. As future Duecalion (alpha of alphas) as well as your friend I cannot let you wonder this world alone. Especially if you have a chance of finding your fated. Now hurry up, we are in different orientation halls."

Even way before when Toby presented as an omega they were inseparable best friends, they did everything together. One day when they got the results of their status at the seldom age age of thirteen, this is a tests thatere supposed to be done by the age of sixteen or seventeen. Although the advancement of technology stood a chance to alter their friendship that they made a pact, thair nature is does not affect their friendship. Therefore when Toby got the news of his status it wasn't that much of a big deal for their friendship.  As the future alpha of the 'Blue lunar pack' he made sure to protect his very small, delicate, gullible friend especially in this mundane university with mutual territory.

Neutral territory initially means this territory have not and cannot be claimed by anyone. Unfortunately the only reason they came to Moon University is because Toby has been dating a guy he met online... Okay, that is not technically true. Lucas is apparently their senior studying to be a doctor here, this was presumably in his fourth or maybe third year. Whatever Noah does not care beyond supporting his best friend. Literally, Noah has never officially met the guy After highschool but he did assume the sucker is a human. His best friend is clearly in love, lust, fancy a man he will pity if his human. This relationship would definitely make things awkward between them. Humans will never be able to please an omega werewolf, especially the months of their heat cycles but unfortunately he could not bring himself to burst Toby's bubble.

Laughing the two spoke about nothing and everything before they had to split up.

Noah was of course confident in the looks department and his easy going nature got him nominated to participate to be the Moon of the 2019. It's just a fun, traditional competition between faculties from other universities and compete for the schools reputation. The fact that he was nominated for the Engineering faculty alongside with Air, he laughed as everyone else cheered. Air. She is gorgeous, funny and he wants her just joking they had a thing two years back but that 'thing' met it's end. He is a red blooded male, so when many woman hung on him it did flatter him because he found most of them extremly attractive. Air joined his fan club as she hung on him like a second skin and he suspected she might also be interested in having one night with him... In high school she did cheat on him with one his friends the betrayal lead to their unfortunate end but if she is willing, why not? That would definitely make things easier for him but what would be hard is explaining, this has to be no strings.

He laughed at his text that had a tired and crying emoji, the hype of ladies flocking him moved from flattery to now being overwheming therefore he agreed without second thought. Guys just envied his charm and charisma. With any break or free time he was granted he opt to spend it with his best friend, Toby. There was no way to escape the attention he was getting, so to escape the crowd he took a short cut to get to the science faculty almost in the same building as the medical faculty building. He blindly text Toby to meet him at the cafeteria.

That dammed omega preferred being on the outside, looking in on his crush ever since high school. He stared at Lucas with heart shaped eyes as if that is possible, he barely got time to take care of himself. Finally when Lucas graduated, he agreed to start off as online friends since Toby was barely legal but eventually over the years they began dating or just excessively chatting. The background to their story is still shaky and it was still unclear if the man remembered his docile friend. His best friend was certain even if Lucas is a human, he is still Toby's fated mate. Watching the train smash of love would be fascinating to watch, brave hearts.

[The scent. Find it.]

His wolf demanded, before he could focus on anything it hit him. Literally. All he saw were paper flying around. The papers belonged to the clumsy, beautiful, perfectly shaped woman's eyes flashed a deep bloody red before it turned back to normal. The color change was so fast, he saw it. There nothing extraordinary about her but her scent which was strange but addicting.

Immediately bowing down his apology to his senior, he bent down to help the stranger pick up the papers and storing them in the boxes. He noticed the flyers are for the vote lines for crowning of the Moon for 2019. Stacking them neatly in the box he finally looked up to see the most awe striking woman with perfect cubby cheeks. The proud owner of that immaculate confusing scent distracting his train of thought, the woman reached for the papers in his hand and she accidentally grazed his hand the electricity cloud only be palpable. His curiosity was now zeroing on the fair, smooth skin and pouty lipped, big eyed woman before him. Damn did his interest not flare when his hazel nut eyes and innocence of her being.

Silence. One, two, three. Silence. Two, three. Silence. Three. The stranger got up, grabbed the box and walked away. Before he could stop the woman from leaving Toby killed the moment by calling out his name. Attention derailed for a second, a second long. A second long enough to steal what might have been.

"Toby. Your timing sucks."

"Why? What did I do? I just wanted to ask, what do you want to eat?"

"No. I'm here to make sure you eat lover boy."

"I just want a pink milkshake."

"Strawberry?"

"No. Just say pink milk, they know what they add to make the heavenly drink which does in fact have strawberries. Just order it, look it is number seven on the menu."

"I don't get it. Order number seven?"

"I my dear friend, you do not get me? Judging by the hot mess you choose to ingest. You never once saw me complaining, recoil or question the raw monstrosity. Green smoothie with raw eggs and poisonous combinations, I also do not get it."

"It's called a protein shake and I only drink that pure power fuel when I go to the gym or before a very hot date. Besides your faculty sells the best veggie blended smoothie here."

"Yeah. Well, let us agree to disagree."

"To what?"

"Pink smoothie tastes, looks and is better than drinking veggies. Especially veggies that needs to be cooked. Rather than drank raw and wet.

"Since we are at the topic of raw and or wet, did you confess to Lucas?"

Toby's face turned fifty shades of pink and he laughed at his friend's adorable embarrassment. By his sudden comfort levels the two clearly did meet and speak but why is he so embarrassed unless-

Before he could voice the direction his thoughts seem to be sundering too. Toby waved both his hands in front of his, his head joining in the denial.

"No. No. No. No. Noah it's nothing like that."

Laughing at the dear caught in the headlights, he glanced around ensuring none could overhear their conversation and he faced him his round eyes shooting daggers. He dug in his bag rummaging for something for a second before pulling out a metal couples bracelet the simp bought his crush about four- five years ago, give or take.

"His also a wolf and I can feel it. Noah he is my fated mate. I will give him this."

"No shit. I did not see that one coming. You still have those bracelets!"

"Yeah, they too precious to throw away jerk. Besides even I did not see this coming. At least the years of silent longing is paid off and the bracelet is his, I was just a coward to give it to him before but I am not now."

"Mhmm."

There is no way the agony of rejection, longing and regret would ever torment him like it did Toby. Noah already had his reputation going as a ladies man, most females offered him their body and who was he to turn them down? There is literally no time to settle down, not when this was the beginning of their lives without constant supervision or in his case pressures from his pack. His little friend did not want to be brought to the dark side, his attention already been stolen by his senior. Before Noah could pity the little fool he said something that actually stunned him.

"During our photo- shoot Lucas showed up with pink milk in hand. I don't think he recognized me at first. Of course I was upset but also extremely happy, last time he saw me I was the ugly duckling with four eyes.  At least now I look much cuter, beautiful if we listen to my fellow classmates who elected me for the Moon thing. Noah, at least now I look presentable enough that he can finally acknowledges my existence not as a child but his junior. I don't know why he decided to talk to me in person but that a step forward right?"

"Depends... Did he confess?"

"No."

"During this week we will know if he likes you or not."

"How?"

"Leave all that to me."

He will do nothing but Toby did not have to know that. If things were written in the stars there is very little to nothing that could be done to shift the cause of fate.

"Don't do anything stupid, Noah."

"You have very little faith in me. If he trails along the trip with us skipping a week of school, his interested. Oh yeah, the engineering guys and I are going bar hopping tonight. You will be my designated driver, so that we can use Jayden to make Lucas jealous enough to make his move before you lose your virginity at age fifty."

His checks flushed in embarrassment and a small yet powerful fist punched him.

"I cannot just ask him to do that for me. You know he took it the hardest when his mom passed and his how hard his yearly visits are, not to metion his brother's condition... 'Dating' him will be like spitting on fate, nature and her grave even if we just pretend."

"You know what you said makes zero sense right?"

"Yeah. *Shrug* It was worth a try to get out of your insane idea, you crazy enough to implement without me."

"Hey. At least you will know if Jayden backs off, he respects Lucas enough to give him a chance with you. Sounds like a win, win here."

"Yeah I guess."
