Alpha Fauz's POV

Heavy footsteps echoed forward and toward the altar.

No one moved during a Marking. No one! How dare he!?

I looked towards the direction of the approaching footsteps.

A hooded man approached, his face was concealed with deliberate skill. But I didn’t need to see it. The smell and the star ring on his small finger burned into my vision. It was the emblem of the Dreamer’s Pack’s royalty.

“Alpha Pitman!” I growled in my head, pulling Nora closer to my chest.

Gaius’s hand moved to his sword. But I stopped him, “Stand down,” I ordered through the link. “Do not ruin my day.”

The murmurs in the hall grew louder as Pitman continued forward.

“Who is that?”

“Where is he going?”

“He is approaching the altar.”

“Is he mad?”

Nora shifted in my hold, she must have sensed his presence. Her breath hitched. She tried to turn. But I stopped her.

“Stay,” I muttered, tightening my hold, and pressing her against my chest.

Pitman reached the altar steps, then veered.

He walked past us. He was so close, his shoulder nearly brushed mine.

That was enough. My fury exploded.

I seized Nora’s chin and tilted her head to the side. Roughly, I sank my fangs into the crook of her neck.

It must have been painful as I did it in a bit of a rush.

Yes, I had to claim her and let that bastard know that she is mine now.

Blood splattered and I felt my heart cringe. The bond snapped into place, and Finn howled.

He has found his fated mate and nothing else mattered

Nora shuddered violently and I pulled her into my arms, soothing her, and letting every wolf in the room, especially Pitman, feel it.

Now she is mine!

The hall erupted again, applause mixed with confusion.

Eyes darted between the altar and Pitman's exiting figure.

Pitman stopped, he must have felt the marking too. He turned halfway and stared sideways, partially looking behind.

Our gazes locked. Then he looked away and resumed walking.

“Can you perceive the smell? The hoodie smells like a Dreamer!”

“No way. Why would a Dreamer be here? Impossible!”

“How dare a Dreamer cross the borders?” The crowd murmured, and just before Pitman reached the exit, my father’s voice thundered through the hall.

“Seize him!”

Nora's POV

Ridiculous! The elders didn't lie, Alpha Fauz was indeed my fated mate.

I felt it in my bones as he lifted the veil and our gazes met.

His eyes were like dancing inferno. My heart synchronised with his and I could feel every beat of his heart.

The it hit me hard. His scent! Pine and earth. Briefly, I shut my eyes and took a deep breath savouring ever bit of his scent.

As I stood transfixed before him on the sacred altar, his eyes were glued to mine.

He stared at me like I was some ethereal being. His aura was killing, but the warmth that radiated from his eyes made it endurable.

Does he also feel it? The mate bond… I stared back into his golden eyes. Then his lips moved like they had the will of their own, “Mate,” he muttered.

My eyes shone wide. Lila leapt for joy. I could feel her happiness in my bones.

Traitor! She had been redundant and never felt this way when we were with Alpha Pitman.

The crowd roared in admiration and chorused, “Mark her! Mark her!”

A great sense of peace radiated over me. Lila continued to wag her tail excitedly. She pounced around in my mind, howling loudly.

My eyes burned with tears of joy. I didn't know meeting one's fated mate felt this way. A big grin tumbled out of my lips, but then I remembered Alpha Pitman…

I shouldn't be feeling this way… I don't have the right to be happy when I left him hanging…

Alpha Fauz's face descended and was buried in my neck. It was time for him to put his mark on me.

The breath from his nostrils warmed me up and I felt it when he bared his fangs.

Suddenly something shifted in the air, and Alpha Fauz stopped.

A strange, but familiar presence dominated the hall.

Alpha Pitman! Every alarm in my head blared.

Alpha lifted up his face and his eyes travelled down the hall. His gaze settled so close to us and the Dreamer's smell hit me harder.

I tried to turn, but Alpha Fauz's arms snaked around my shoulders, holding me tightly against his chest.

… And what the hell is Alpha Pitman doing here? Didn't he wish me happiness with my fated mate? I gave us a way out but he literally pushed me away!

I tried to turn again, but Alpha Fauz held me tighter and I couldn't budge.

What the heck?

A bitter chuckle rumbled down my throat. Alpha Fauz protecting me from the love of my life? How did we get here? Is it my parent's greed or the Moon goddess' choice? My heart sank.

Without warning, Alpha Fauz tilted my head to the side and buried his fangs in my neck, possessing me.

Fauz’s POVThe pack felt wrong without her.Too quiet.Too empty.Too… still.Three days passed.Or maybe four.I stopped counting.Sleep never came. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw her falling again — her body disappearing beyond the cliff, her scream echoing in my skull. I would jolt awake, claws half-formed, breath ragged, heart racing. The bond remained.Weak.Distant.Alive.That was the only thing keeping me from tearing the mountains apart myself.I hadn’t left the pack lands since returning, but that didn’t mean I was still.I prowled. From the gates to the training grounds. From the training grounds to the border towers. From the towers to the cells.Back again.Again.Again.The warriors avoided my path. Fauz’s POV“Nora!”My voice tore through the forest again, raw and hoarse. Birds scattered violently from the treetops, but no answer came back. No movement. No scent.Nothing.I pushed forward through the undergrowth, branches snapping against my shoulders. My boots slid over loose earth as I followed what little instinct remained in the bond.It pulsed.Faint.Distant.Alive.But slipping farther away.I stopped abruptly, breathing hard. My chest rose and fell like I had run for miles, but I refused to slow. I scanned the ground again — no blood, no broken shrubs, no tracks. Nora’s POVThe world spun.Air tore past me as my body tumbled down the cliff, rock scraping against my arms, my back, my legs. Pain exploded everywhere at once. My vision blurred. My body rolled again, faster, then—Impact.Everything stopped. For a moment, there was nothing. No sound. No pain. • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    Imprisonment

Fauz’s POV“Recall everyone!” I thundered. The command rippled through the woods. Horns sounded from different points along the cliff. Men began emerging from the slopes, abandoning the search and gathering toward us.I didn’t move. My eyes remained fixed on the broken shrubs. When the last of the men gathered, I faced them.“Listen,” I said, and every head bowed.“This is no longer a rescue operation. This is a breach of the territory. It's an act of war, an attack on the Luna, an attack on me.” My aura flared, pressing down on them.“We are shutting everything down.” I said, looking them in the eyes.“No entry and no exit in and out of the packlands. No patrols leave the borders. No trader enters. Seal the gates! Lock down the pack lands! Tighten the security.”“Yes, Alpha!”“I want eyes on every road, every mountain pass, and even the secret and forbidden paths!”“Yes, Alpha!”“No one enters without my permission. No one leaves without my permission.”The men roared in agreement.I

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    No body, No scent, Just blood

Fauz's POVI disregarded Gaius and walked slowly towards the edge of the cliff. My boots reached the edge, and I looked down. There was nothing, just jagged stones far below. The bond pulled again faintly. Relief crashed into me and my knees nearly buckled. “She’s alive…”“Alpha!” Gaius’ voice came from behind. I gripped the hilt of my sword, and flipped it out of its sheath as I turned around.I lowered my sword, aiming for Gaius' neck. He gasped in fear and fell to his knees.“My Alpha!” He shook.“What have you done!” I thundered.“I have failed you!” He trembled.Failed me? This was more than failing to save the Luna! He orchestrated the ambush! I pressed the sword deeper against his neck, blood dripped and I pressed harder.“ I sent you here to man the front. Where were you?! I thundered. He remained silent and unfazed. Confusion and wariness sliacross his face. But I did not give room for doubt. I will prove his betrayal but not here, not now.I withdrew the sword from his neck

Fauz's POV My horse galloped hard beneath me, its hooves struck the earth with repeated thud. Wind tore past my face as I rode through the outer plains, but I did not slow down. Every second lost felt like Nora would slip beyond my reach. Why did I stall? I should have gone to her when I sent the healer earlier. I had thought I could wait until nightfall, but I couldn't. I was restless and my face was restless too. I couldn't stop thinking that I was the one who made her fall sick. “She is sick because of the cold palace,” the words continued to bang through my head as the horse galloped. Finally, I was doing the needful. I have removed her from the cold palace and I am going to meet her, I muttered to myself.Thinking about her, a strange calm spread across my chest. I wide grin cut across my face and I pulled the reins harder.I had just covered a few more grounds when a searing pain ripped through my heart.
