Nora's POV

It's been two weeks since I was banished and Alpha Fauz hadn't come to see me, not once. Not a message, not a summon. Not even a passing presence.

The first few days, I had found myself glancing at the doors at the slightest sound, listening for footsteps that never came, convincing myself that he would appear, if not to apologize, then at least to explain. But time had a way of stripping away false hope.

By the end of the first week, I stopped waiting.

By the second, I stopped expec

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    Nostalgia

Nora’s POVBy the time the healer arrived, the fever had slightly reduced, leaving behind a strange weakness.I sat upright on the bed, my fingers clasped together in my lap, forcing my body into stillness as the doors opened.Rya entered, and behind her was the healer. He was older than I expected. His gaze was bright and sure despite the years lining his face. He was the royal healer, I realized immediately. My lips twitched nonchalantly as I stared at him. Fauz summoned the royal healer for my check up! That should have moved me, but I didn't feel a tiny bit of emotion. The healer bowed the moment he stepped into the room, “My Luna.”There was no softness in his eyes, only protocol. So be it… protocol all the way. “You may proceed.” I said, inclining my head.He approached slowly, setting down the leather satchel he carried. The faint scent of herbs filled the room as he opened it, revealing carefully arranged instruments and small vials.“Rya informed me of your symptoms.“Fever,

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    Fourteen Days, Thirteen Nights

Fauz’s POVThe parchment before me remained unsigned. I had read the same line three times, and yet, none of it settled. My hand hovered over the document, but my thoughts were elsewhere. It's been two weeks since Nora was banished to the cold palace. Fourteen days, thirteen visits. My jaw tightened slightly.I leaned back in my chair, exhaling slowly as I let the quill rest against the desk. I let my mind drift to Nora. Since the banishment, there was no day I hadn't seen her… of course not in daylight. But every night, I went to her silently and unseen. I didn't plan it the first night. I told myself I was inspecting security. But it was a lie, I knew exactly where my steps were taking me.I remembered standing outside her chamber door that first night. My hand hovered over the wood, and my wolf was restless beneath my skin. Then her scent reached me. Rose. My chest tightened, something inside me settled and unravelled all at once. I twitched the door open and entered without think

But time had a way of stripping away false hope.By the end of the first week, I stopped waiting.By the second, I stopped expecting, and now, I simply existed. The routines of the Cold Palace had settled around me like a second skin. I woke, I ate, I read the few books available, I walked the confined courtyard under watchful eyes, and I returned to my chambers before dusk.Lila had withdrawn as well. She was still there, still present within me, but quieter than before, watching, waiting, and conserving her strength as though she sensed something I could not yet name.I had just finished my breakfast. I could hardly ea

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    The Cold Palace

Nora’s POVThe palace grounds thinned as we moved north. The familiar elegance of the central Pack lands gave way to older stone, mountainous terrain, quieter paths, and a stillness that did not belong to the rest of the pack. I walked between the guards in silence, my steps steady, my chin lifted, my pride the only thing keeping me from crumbling under the weight of it all. No chains bound my wrists. No one pushed me forward, and yet, I had never felt more like a prisoner.By the time the Cold Palace came into view, I understood why it had earned its name.It stood apart, not in ruin, not abandoned, but detached from everything that made the rest of the pack feel alive.Tall grey stone walls rose against the pale sky. Arched windows, high towers, and iron-wrought balconies, the structure itself was beautiful in a stark, unforgiving way, but there was no laughter here. No movement beyond the guards, no life, only watchfulness. My steps slowed slightly as we approached. The gates opene

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    I should not have let you leave like that

Fauz’s POVI pushed the door shut, and the sound echoed through the office. For several moments, I did not move. My hand remained on the handle, my fingers locked so tightly around the metal that the edges bit into my skin. The corridor beyond had already gone quiet. The guards had taken her. Nora was gone.I stared at the closed door as though I could still see her standing there, chin lifted in defiance, hurt burning in her eyes.“One day, Alpha Fauz, you will remember this moment clearly.”The words struck harder now than they had when she said them.Slowly, I released the handle and stepped back. The room felt different as though the air had thickened after she left.I turned away abruptly and walked toward the desk, but the moment my palms met the wood, memory crashed through me.Her face from the night before, her mouth parting in shock when I entered her chambers, her voice, my own hands on her. My jaw clenched. The memory was there, but in fragments.Heat, need, darkness, a d

  • Moonbond; The Alpha who lost his Luna    One day, you will remember this moment clearly.

Nora's POVI did not cry after Alpha Fauz stormed out of my chambers.I sat on the edge of the bed for a long while, staring at the door he had just slammed behind him, trying to understand how the same night could leave two people with such different wounds. The sheets were still warm. His scent still clung to the room. My skin still remembered him. Yet the look he gave me when he woke up beside me had been nothing but fury. Not confusion. Not tenderness. Not even regret. Just anger so glaring that it cut deeper than any blade.I wrapped my arms around myself and lowered my head. What happened last night wasn't planned by me. I did not lure him. I didn't go to his chambers. He had come to mine half-dressed, burning with something wild and reckless, and though I had been angry with him, though I had wanted to resist the pull between us, he had looked so undone that all my anger melted. Perhaps that was my error and weakness. Now morning had fully broken, and with it came a terrible cl

Nora’s POVA heavy breath escaped my lips as I walked out of the Alpha's office. Alpha Fauz's presence was stiffening. His aura was strong and with the mate bond tugging, it was harder to bear.
