It's over as quickly as it came on.

The silver glow goes away so quickly that it seems like it was never there. I feel dizzy and my hands shake. "What was that?" I say in a low voice.

Kael keeps putting his arms around my shoulders. It doesn't hurt, but his grip gets stronger because it grounds him. His words are very careful: "That's exactly what we were afraid of."

Thorne takes a deep breath. "The moon has already touched it.""That was... quick.

He says, "Too fast."

I look at every face one by one. All of them look scared. All of them look tense.

I say, "You're talking about me like I'm not here."

Draven finally looks me in the eye. "Because once you know what you are, you won't feel safe anymore."

It hurt like rocks when I heard those words: "Try me."

Kael gives it some thought and then gives one nod. "You are on land that is watched over by Alpha dogs. "And I just moved in," I say. We own the house, the forest, and the mountain. "How lucky I am."

What Thorne says is, "This area reacts to blood." "Wolf blood." Blood from the past.

It hurts to eat. "You said I wasn't a person."

Kael takes a deep breath in and out. "Not completely."

The room is getting cooler.

"My father was obsessed with bloodlines," Draven says in a soft voice. Besides records and stories, he also got visions. "Prophecies?" I say it again.

The wall is pushed away by Thorne. "One is about a girl who was born when the moon was quiet. A girl who makes the land wake up.

I take a sip. "That's... that's just a story."

"The house spoke back," Kael says. "The ground lit up beneath your feet."

Soft creaks in the walls make it sound like the house can hear him.

I put my arms around myself. "So what now?"

There is quiet.

Then there was a big crack.

From the inside, the window blows up.

There is a crash of glass all over the room as something dark and fast hits us. Thorne charges forward, and Kael moves quickly to push me behind him.

Things get straight.

A wolf.

Not like the last ones I saw. It has darker hair that looks almost black, and its eyes are bright red from hunger. It sticks out its tongue and shows its teeth.

"Scout," Draven growls.

After its bones break and its fur falls off, the wolf changes shape and a man stands in its place. Big. With wounds. He looks like he already won because of the smile on his face.

It's just a casual "You're late," from him. "The Alpha wants to talk."

Kael's voice gets very scary. "You went over our border."

The man looks past him.

I agree.

A guy says in a low voice, "And you look just like he said." "The Moonbound is really awake."

My heart beats fast.

"Tell Darius that he can't talk to her," Kael says.

He smiles even more. Alpha, oh no. He didn't ask.

We can feel the ground moving.

And outside, a lot of red eyes shine through the darkness.---

  • Moonbound to the Alpha Triplets   CHAPTER 100

“Selene… if you can hear me fight.”Kael’s voice finds me in the dark, not as sound but as something deeper, a pull, a promise. I don’t open my eyes immediately because I don’t know what I’ll see when I do. Power or emptiness.“Come on, Moonbound,” another voice murmurs, softer, colder. “Don’t tell me you break this easily.”Darius. Of course. Even here, wherever here is, he finds a way in.My fingers twitch. That’s the first thing I feel. Then the ground beneath me, smooth, cold, humming. I inhale sharply and open my eyes.Silver stretches endlessly around me. The same world from before, but clearer now, sharper. Like I’m no longer drifting through it. Like I belong here.“No…” I push myself up slowly, my body unsteady but lighter than it should be. “No, I don’t…”But the lie dies in my throat because the moment I stand, the world responds. The silver ground ripples beneath my feet. The sky, if it even is a sky, bends, and the moon above moves closer, watching, waiting for me.“You f

“Don’t you dare let go of me, Selene.”Kael’s voice cuts through the chaos like a blade, raw and desperate, and it’s the first thing that anchors me back to myself.I didn’t realize I was slipping.I didn’t realize how far.The world around me is no longer the forest. Not fully. Not anymore. It’s… something else. The ground beneath my feet isn’t earth—it’s silver. Endless, glowing, pulsing like a living heart. The sky above is darker than night, yet the moon hangs impossibly close, massive and watching. Judging.Waiting.And I am standing at the center of it.Alone.“No…” I whisper, my voice echoing strangely, like it doesn’t belong to me. “No, this isn’t real.”But it is.I can feel it in my blood. The Moonbound power isn’t just awake anymore. It has taken me.“Selene!”Kael again. Closer this time. Urgent. Furious.I turn and for a second, the world flickers. The forest crashes back into view.Broken trees. Burned ground. The air thick with power and smoke.Kael is there, his hand l

  • Moonbound to the Alpha Triplets   CHAPTER 98

There were molten sparks of red, silver, black, and blood in the forest. Each one was a reminder of the guardian's trials. High above, the Shadowed Moon gave off a soft silver light that mixed with the brightness of my Silver Heart, which was now fully joined with the inheritance. Every piece, every pulse, and every link felt alive and connected to my own heartbeat. Kael looked around the clearing with his amber eyes. "Moonbound... things are quiet now." It is too quiet. Thorne's golden eyes got narrow, and his claws tensed up. "Every shadow has gone away, but something still stands there." It's there for me. Draven's dark blue eyes were always steady, but there was a hint of worry in them. "The guardian told us not to do that." Yes, we have mastery, but we must always be alert. Power gets our attention, even from things we can't see yet. I took a sharp breath in, and Silver Heart flared, sending molten energy shooting across the clearing. Red, silver, black, and ruby sp

  • Moonbound to the Alpha Triplets   CHAPTER 97

The forest was very quiet. Even the molten sparks of red, silver, black, and crimson that were left over from the fifth trial seemed to be frozen in midair, as if they were holding their breath. The guardian stood tall above, its eyes filled with a huge, molten silver fire. Every shadow and ember of energy seemed to be twitching with excitement. "You have made it through every test, Moonbound," the guardian said in a voice that sounded like mountains and thunder. "Your bravery, loyalty, heart, and pulse have shown that they are worthy. But mastery isn't just about power; it's about understanding. The final revelation is waiting." The huge guardian lowered its huge head in front of me, and the forest seemed to bend toward us. The molten sparks swirled violently, making a shape—an orb of pure, radiant energy that pulsed with molten red, silver, black, and crimson. Visions flickered inside it—pieces of the Shadowed Moon, the Silver Heart, and the inheritance itself, all linked in ways

Even though it was quiet in the forest, you could feel the tension in the air. Lazy molten sparks of red, silver, black, and crimson were floating around, leftovers from the fourth trial's anger, but each ember seemed charged with anticipation. The guardian stood tall above, its eyes filled with molten silver fire, and its shadows snaked across the clearing. The guardian's voice was thunderous and deep, like mountains. "You have survived shadows, temptation, time, and reforged enemies, Moonbound," he said. "But mastery is not yet yours. The fifth and final trial begins—the trial that will decide the fate of the inheritance, your bonds, and your very soul." It was very sparkly in front of me, and the past, present, and possible futures all mixed together in a chaotic storm of molten energy. I could feel Kael, Thorne, and Draven's heartbeats thumping along with mine, each beat a tether, each pulse a thread holding me to reality. Sparks of red, silver, black, and crimson flew through t

  • Moonbound to the Alpha Triplets   CHAPTER 95

The trees in the forest were shaking violently, sending molten sparks of red, silver, black, and crimson through them. My heart was pounding, but I knew the trials were not over. The guardian hung above, its eyes filled with huge, molten silver fire, and its shadows moved like living snakes. "Moonbound, you have made it through the trials of shadows, temptation, and time," the guardian said in a voice that sounded like thunder. "But mastery is not claimed through endurance alone. The fourth trial begins: courage, protection, and simultaneous loyalty tested to the limit." The shadows in front of me writhed and merged into a shape that made my blood run cold. It looked like a twisted version of the Eclipse Wraith, moving through enemies, dark temptations, and false memories of betrayal. Its eyes were glowing molten red and silver, and at their core was a black fire. "You...Moonbound," it hissed, its voice full of the sounds of every enemy I had fought and every temptation I had refus
