Chapter 11

ATLAS

"You heard me, you old bastard." I furrowed my brows. I had endured a lot of nonsense from him over the years, but not anymore. Today, he would be taking his last breath.

"How dare you speak to me like that?" He yelled, pointing his pistol at me.

"Did you check if it was loaded?" I asked, raising a brow.

"What?" His lips parted as his furrowed brow softened, and panic washed over his face.

"Are you becoming deaf? I knew you did come here and hide like a little sneaky rat that you are," I chuckled.

I had come to his office to set things in place before heading to the dining earlier. I knew he would run here to grab whatever weapon he could lay his hands on, so I made sure to empty all the guns.

He stared at me, still pointing the pistol, but I could see the doubt in his eyes, even though he tried hard not to give it away.

"Don't be shy, check it," I smiled. Alpha Hector stared at me, not dropping the pistol, but he soon gave in, checking the pistol to see if I was saying the
