I felt pride as I watched Kim's transformation, knowing that she was the woman I had chosen to be by my side when I became Alpha. Her pure white fur seemed to shimmer in the fading light, and I couldn't help but feel like I'd made the right choice.

"Beautiful, isn't she?" I murmured to Theo, my inner wolf, as we admired Kim from a distance.

"Sure," Theo replied with an indifference that caught me off guard. "She will not compare to our fated mate."

I frowned, trying to dismiss his words. "What do you mean? She's perfect for me, for us – an Alpha heir that is our equal."

"Perfect on paper," Theo corrected, his tone almost mocking. "But that doesn't mean she's our fated mate."

His words stung. How could he not see what was right in front of us? Kim was everything I'd ever wanted in a partner – strong, intelligent, and capable of leading our pack alongside me.
