CHAPTER 29: THE KING'S PRACTICE.

BARAKAR'S POV.

Lying in bed, I stared at the ceiling. Whoever it was that made the artistic drawings on the ceiling did quite an amazing and elaborate job.

The whole ceiling of my chamber was covered with historical drawings of past wars, depicting the conquest of the werewolf kind over the lands before they were brought under the leadership of the Iron Claw Pack, centuries ago.

It never tired me to stare at them whenever I lay in bed.

Beside me, Raya was still asleep - sleeping calmly and peacefully. She probably wasn't aware she was facing me. Some strands of her hair covered her face, so with a finger, I gently reached forward to tuck them back. But I stopped.

A part of me felt I was invading her space - being a creep. And another part of me saw it as a gentlemanly act. With a bit of contemplation, I chose to do it regardless.

I tucked her hair behind her head, revealing her face. She looked beautiful even while she was asleep.
