What do you think? Personally, I think's this is a bit better than book 1 but let me know what you think and don't forget to vote! XOXO
It’s been an entire week since Aspro left. I hadn’t seen him since then. Just his annoyingly hot brother who always got on my nerves. Speaking of annoying, Mavros had come to see me again, even though I asked him to stop coming over every day because he was making my family think something was going on between us. Him having a wolf as huge as mine doesn’t help because Logan told me he would ask if he was of Alpha blood because no one knew of any Alpha with a son named Tyrion. “Oh, hey Tyrion.” Maya greeted, walking into the living room.We had said nothing to each other since he came here ten minutes ago. I was mad at him for coming today. I didn’t want people to misunderstand my relationship with him. Having my sister on my neck wasn’t something I wanted.“Good morning, princess.” He got to his feet and bowed.“Come on,” she waved her hand. “No need for the formalities since we’re going to become family soon.”I froze.Family? What family? Whose family?“We’re going to be family?”
When I woke up, I was well rested and pissed off. Mavros forced me to sleep. I got out of bed and went to my window first. I pushed the curtains aside. It was sunset, and he wasn’t back. Why did I even think he would be back?“Oh, you’re awake.” Mavros said, coming into my room. “I thought you’d sleep for much longer.”I guess I was wrong. “Were you able to take Zariya back to the spirit realm?”“I’m going to put this as softly as I can.” He sat on my bed. “No, I could not and did not take her back to the spirit realm.”“What?”“Calm down.”I stood in front of him. “Calm down? You want me to calm down?”“I believe I said that.”“I can’t calm down!” I kicked my bed. “How do you expect me to calm down when she could barge in here and say something?”“You make it sound as though you committed a crime.”“You don’t understand.” I sat beside him. “I’m afraid of what she can do. Who knows what she’s capable of?”“I
Sleeping that night was almost impossible for me for two reasons. I slept some hours ago and Zariya was also another factor. I glanced at Hannah, who laid beside me on the bed with her eyes closed. She would have been in the guest room, but she said she would spend the night in my room. I couldn’t say no. She had informed her fiancé that she would spend the night with us. He was fine with it.“When will you sleep?” Ah, she did that thing again.“I can’t sleep.” I told her. “I’m worried something will go wrong.”“Nothing bad will happen.” She assured me. “Go to sleep.”I closed my eyes and tried to relax my tense form. ‘Nothing bad will happen. Nothing bad will happen.’ I chanted in my head until I eventually got pulled into the world of slumber.*** I woke with a start when Ared’s scream tore through the silence of the night. Hannah got up too. The both of us dashed out of the room and toward Red and Logan’s bedroom. On getting the
ASPRO’S POINT OF VIEWRealm of the gods {Alynthi} As I watched her sit beside her Beta in a hospital room, my heart ached. She didn’t deserve this. Neither did the innocent man who lay weakly on the bed. I didn’t understand Zariya’s anger and reason for harming Logan, and she wouldn’t tell me or my brother. Before Mavros went in search of Zariya, I had found her leaving a pack after checking if Valeria was there. When I first set my eyes on her, I was afraid of what she had become. After they split her, her usual blue eyes turned amber and her black hair turned gray. It was supposed to remain that way in the spirit realm, but she somehow managed to get access to Ichor and she drank it. Her hair and eye color had returned to what I knew, but she had a crazed look in her eyes. She was after something and knowing Zariya, she wouldn’t stop until she had gotten it.It was one thing that remained in Valeria today. During the time when Mavros was supposed to destroy her kind, she
VALERIA’S POINT OF VIEW Aspro and I sat on my bed as he cleaned up the wounds Zariya had inflicted on me. I was too upset to even look at him or speak a word. A crazed spirit demanded I had a child with him or she’d kill the ones I held dear. What was it with people and wanting to hurt my family?“Won’t you talk to me?” Aspro lifted my chin so that I looked at him. “Hmm?”“I don’t want to.” I stood up and stalked to the wall. “Please let me be.”“Valeria, I promise I did not know she came back for such a reason. If I had known-”“Nothing would have changed.” I cut him off. “Don’t you see? She’s going to hurt my family if I don’t do what she wants. If I don’t have a child with you like she wants me to, who knows who she is going to go after first? Maya? Or maybe Melody, because it’ll be killing two birds with one knife.”“We’ll find a way around this.” He walked to me. “In the meantime, I’ll talk to Mavros.”I met his eyes. “Why? What’s he going to do?”
When I arrived, the hospital floor that held Logan was a mess. Doctors barked orders as they tried to knock him out with drugs, but he wouldn’t let anyone close to him. Not even Red.“V, thank goodness you’re here.” Melody said through pants. “He has gone mad.”“Stay here.” An order. “I don’t want you and the baby getting hurt. I’ll take care of this.”“Okay.” she agreed, wrapping her hands around her belly.A string of colorful words escaped my lips when Logan flung Hannah across the hall like she was a doll. I went over to where she was and helped her up.“Are you okay?”She nodded. “I’m fine.” She glanced at Logan. “I think that ichor has boosted his strength. He is unstoppable.”“Logan.” I heard Red say, with tears drifting down her cheeks. “Logan, stop. Please. You’re hurting everyone.”“Quiet!” he roared, shoving her aside when his eyes landed on me. “You,” He pointed in my direction. “I’ve been waiting for you.”“Logan, calm down.” I said, slowly advancing toward him. “You need
“V?” I felt a hand gently try to wake me. “V?”I slapped the hand away and a chuckle followed. It was Mavros.“I’ll kiss you if you don’t get up in the next three seconds.”Jokes on him. I haven’t brushed my teeth.“One.” his fingers trailed across my face. “Two,” he continued. “Three.”My eyes shot open and I placed my hand over his mouth when I saw his lips were literally centimeters away from mine. Without speaking a word, I bolted out of his room. To my displeasure, I bumped into Drake as soon as I left.“Val, what were you doing in there?” he questioned, eyeing me weirdly.“I, um,” I scratched the back of my neck nervously. “Well, I…”“We slept in the same room.” Mavros revealed as he came out of his room.I bit my lower lip and wished the ground would open up and swallow me whole to save me from this firsthand embarrassment.“Really?” Drake seemed to be amazed. “Val, you could have just said so.” He said coolly. “I went to your room earlier to tell you that Azura is here. She’s
The sky had turned from a beautiful blue with white clouds to a reddish orange, signifying it was evening. As I drove to the hospital, thoughts about Zariya made a home in my mind. The fear of what she could do bugged me continuously, and I hated it. I shook my head to shake the thought off and concentrated on the road ahead. I’d hate to hit an animal or worse, a person.I parked the car and went into the hospital to check on Red and Logan. Red had refused to come home since what happened to Logan. She often slept in the hospital and Maya and Melody took turns in coming to stay with her and try to distract her from her worries. It was safe to say Ared was a mess.I entered Logan’s hospital room and shut the door behind me. As expected, Red rested her head on the bed whilst she held her mate’s hand. The sleeping position was uncomfortable even for me who was watching. I wondered if I should wake her up. I did not know if she had slept last night.I let her be and sat on one chair. Trut
