Chapter 37: Echoes of Darkness

As the ferocious creatures closed in, the Guardians stood their ground, their weapons at the ready, prepared to defend themselves against the imminent threat.

"We can't take them all on at once," Malachi warned, his voice tense with urgency as he surveyed their adversaries.

Cassia's mind raced with possibilities, searching for a way out of their dire situation. "We need to find a way to distract them," she suggested, her voice filled with determination.

Elysia's eyes darted around the barren landscape, searching for anything that could aid their escape. "There!" she exclaimed, pointing towards a cluster of boulders nearby. "We can use those for cover."

With a nod of agreement, the Guardians dashed towards the boulders, their hearts pounding with adrenaline as they sought refuge from the advancing creatures.

But just as they reached the safety of the rocks, a sudden gust of wind swept through the landscape, swirling around them with an otherworldly force.
