In a realm hidden far beyond mortal sight, where age means nothing and they remain ever young, the night still echoes with sorrow and the howls of bitter loss.

Selvayra had lost its Luna….Their queen , to a mistake that should have never been possible.

A human had crossed into their sacred realm.

Kaelen Syrus fell to his knees, shattered by grief. His heart, once a pillar of strength, cracked under the weight of her blood on his hands.

“She’s gone…” he choked.

Beside him, his brother—Riven whispered, “It’s going to be alright.” But even his voice sounded hollow as he stared at the bloodied body of the Luna, lifeless beneath the moonlight.

(50 Years Later)

The skies darkened ,but this time, not from grief.

It was a war.

Above the distant realm of Wisteria, witches raised their staffs in defense, hurling spells into the storm. None landed nor mattered. The air turned cold, thick with a looming evil.

A figure hovered high in the storm, his cloak thrashing in the wind. Shadows curled at his feet.

His voice was low, poisonous.

“Wisteria will crumble.” He muttered spells.

With a flick of his hand, darkness poured from the skies. Half the realm was cursed in a blink and he vanished.

But his true destination was elsewhere.

Selvayra.

He stood at its edge now, gazing upon the peaceful land.

They didn’t sense the storm at their doorstep.

He walked through the palace with quiet pride, each step steady and unbothered. There was no rush, no fear….just the calm confidence of someone who had finally tasted power. His eyes held a strange stillness, calm… but deadly.

He entered the royal chambers.

“Riven!” Kaelen’s face lit up, joy breaking through years of sorrow. “Where have you been? I’ve searched everywhere for you.”

Riven ignores him and looks at a portrait of the late Luna at the far corner of Kaelen's chambers.

Confusion slipped into Kaelen’s eyes. “Is there a problem?

Riven turns and stares at him, eyes burning with red embers.

“She’s been dead for fifty years,” he sneered. “Why not join her?”

Without warning, he lunged.

Kaelen barely dodged, stumbling back. “Riven?! What are you doing?!”

But this wasn’t his brother anymore.

The air around Riven twisted with corrupted power. His voice deepened. His magic bled chaos.

Guards stormed in, shifting into their wolves, but they fell like leaves. One wave of Riven’s hand, and their life drained away, bodies crumpling in silence.

“I’ve always hated you,” Riven hissed. “From the moment you were born, my joy died. You were the golden child. I was the shadow.”

Kaelen’s chest tightened. “No... Mother loved you. Father did too—”

“They gave you the throne!” Riven roared. “I was born first! That crown was mine. And I’ll take it, even if I have to drown this palace in blood.”

Magic surged through him as he struck again.

Kaelen fought back, dodging fire-laced spells and wild blasts that shattered the chamber. But he wasn’t defenseless.

He grabbed the ancient staff passed down through their bloodline—the one meant only for the true Alpha King.

He slammed it into the ground.

Light exploded.

The wind howled.

The walls trembled as the power of the ancestors awakened.

A deep rumble echoed.

Then ,the floor split open.

A portal tore through the ground beneath Riven, a swirling storm of black and gold. It roared loudly, pulling at him with brutal force.

“No!” Riven screamed, claws scraping stone. “You can’t do this! I’ll return…I’ll kill you! I’ll rule them all!”

Kaelen stepped forward, face grim.

“By the bloodline of Selvayra,” he declared, “I cast you into Vornyx—the realm of shadow and silence.”

Blinding magic wrapped around Riven, binding him like chains. With a final scream, he was yanked into the void. The portal snapped shut.

*******

(Vornyx; the outlands)

In the cursed silence of the Outlands, Riven howled into the emptiness. No one heard. No one answered.

But deep inside, he knew one thing:

He hadn’t been defeated.

He had planted his seed in Selvayra.

He hadn’t gone to Wisteria just for power.

He had gone… for the Moonmark.

Janina’s grip tightened on the dagger, her eyes darting around the chamber until she finally saw the one who had spoken.“The Saraph…” she breathed.Relief spread across her face. “It’s only you. Why appear in the castle like this? Whatever I heard you say, take it back. Our plan was clear from the beginning, to kill the king. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.”The winged creature’s eyes glowed faintly. “Undo it. Those dark spells in the forbidden forest are far more dangerous than you realize. Even my people could be wiped out. I won’t risk it. I regret helping you.”Janina’s lips curled into a cold smile. “It’s too late now for regrets, Saraph. Leave this place, or you won’t like what I do next.”The creature glared at her, wings trembling with anger.Janina’s patience snapped. With a sharp motion, she flung the dagger. It pierced the Saraph’s chest clean through. It fell to the ground, blood spilling, its faint voice rasping, “You will pay for this….”In seconds, its body shimmere

The creature roared, shaking the cave to its core. Its head was twisted and ugly, its body like a giant frog with long, writhing tentacles. The rotting ground beneath it was its lair Thayne drew his sword, bracing for the attack. The creature lunged at them. They all dodged, but Serena slipped and crashed to the ground. The sticky floor clung to her skin, making her itch. Disgust twisted her face, and for a moment she felt like crying, but this wasn’t the time. Naya drew her sword and rushed to Thayne’s side. The creature was strong, and the way it thrashed made the whole cave tremble, it could bring the place down at any moment. “‘The cave will collapse if we don’t kill it!” Lirvana shouted. But the monster didn’t relent. A strike sent Naya and Thayne crashing to the ground, the air ripped from their lungs. Pain tore through them, and within moments, both lay unconscious. Lirvana tried to retreat, but a long tentacle whipped out and slammed her down. Her breath left her in a

“Don’t play coil with us,” one of the councilmen barked, his voice loud and fierce. “How is it possible you are not in the same condition as the King? If you are not the cause of it, then tell us, why are you untouched? You did this so you could find your way out.”“I wish it were that simple,” Serena spat back, eyes blazing. “But I did nothing. • Moonmark: The Alpha's Celestial Mate    Chapter 31: Defiance in the King’s Chamber

Kaelen sat upon his throne, his silver gaze fixed on the council below as they argued over the fate of the human. One of the elder councilmen bowed deeply before speaking. Your Highness, your decree to make the girl a maid is wise. She serves no purpose, your duty is to protect her and keep her alive. She is a human and that alone is the root of our troubles. But now, you have an heir. From our own kind. Blessed by the goddess herself. Keeping the human as a maid is enough mercy and she is safer.” A female councilor rose sharply. Her voice rang across the hall. “No. She is fragile, Your Highness. Our females are born with strength and jealousy in equal measure. Among them, the human will be broken. She will be working until her body fails. That is not mercy, it is torment. She will die from exhaustion.” She shot a sharp look at the men. “And you call that safety?Remember our king is bound to her.” Another councilman slammed his hand on the table. “Keep quiet!.
