Mo's Pov
I didn’t want to look at him. I didn’t want him to touch me either.
“You shouldn't have done that! You shouldn't have driven me to that shitty party.” I moved closer and kept hitting his chest. His shirt was already soaked where I scratched him earlier, but I didn’t stop.
“Hit me back, you jerk!” I yelled, tears almost dripping from my eyes.
“You shouldn't have brought me there!” I kept yelling. “You think you're helping? You’re not. I don’t care if you saved me and I’m not sorry for hurting you either! Just hit me back, Radek!” I cried out.
He always found a way to piss me off, he'd talk back and we would get in a fight. He never stopped arguing with me or calling me names, why was he stopping now?
Why didn't he yell at me when my claws scratched through his face?
I took a deep breath, maintaining my anger.
He didn’t say anything, he just stood there, calm like nothing was happening.
I lowered my voice, “You should stay away from me, Radek. Stay away from my brother too. You think you can do whatever you want because my brother's on your side? No, you can not. Go back to your pack before someone sees you here. You irk me.”
He still didn’t make a move.
“Aren’t you listening?” I kept going. “ You want to get me kicked out of my own house? You want to ruin everything for me?”
“Aren't you tired of hating me? Cause I am.” He finally spoke.
Good goddess! He was driving me crazy already.
“I'm not, I'll hate you for the rest of my life.” I responded.
“I doubt your confidence, cute face. You look worn out.”
He reached for me and I pulled back.
“Don’t you dare touch me—”
He picked me up like I weighed nothing. My head spun again, and I gripped his arm, but he held me tighter.
“Put me down, Radek!”
“You're burning up,” he muttered. “You're not well.”
I tried to fight him but my strength was fading. The moment he stepped into the guest room downstairs, I couldn’t argue anymore. The air felt too harsh and my skin was too hot.
“You shouldn’t be here,” I mumbled with a dry voice. “This isn’t your home. My pack hates you, I hate you.”
He gently laid me down, pulled the throw blanket over me, and crouched beside the bed.
“I’ll be gone before anyone notices,” he said. “Just rest.”
I turned my head to the wall, refusing to look at him. “You should go now.”
“I’ll let you off for the night,” he said. “But I’m not promising to stay away from you. It’s not possible.”
I turned back, ready to yell again, but I didn’t know what to say. He wasn’t taunting me and he wasn’t smiling. He looked serious, and tired too.
Radek leaned in and kissed my forehead. Just like that.
I blinked, and muttered weakly “What was that for?”
He stood up, “You sure are a cute face.”
“Don’t call me that,” I whispered.
He smirked, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “I like it.”
He stayed until I fell asleep. Or maybe I just passed out from exhaustion.

When I woke up, the sunlight pushed through the curtains. My head was clearer but my wrist still ached.
I sat up and saw a folded note by the lamp.
I opened it, half expecting it to be something that would piss me off again.
“Take your pills and learn to throw a punch instead of your claws. They hurt a lot. Take care of yourself, cute face. Can’t wait to see you at the ball.
Love, Radek.”
I threw the pillow at the wall. What does he mean I should learn to throw a punch? I'm the alpha's daughter and I'm strong! He should be at the doctor's place after I hit him excessively last night.
I got out of bed and changed into something decent. I held the note in my hand as I walked straight to Daren’s room.
He was still asleep, sprawled like a log under his sheets.
I grabbed the blanket and yanked it off. “Wake up! You idiot.”
“What the— Mo!” He sat up, squinting.
“You’re a coward,” I said. “You knew I didn’t want to go, and you sent Radek to trick me into that stupid party. You put me in danger, I almost killed someone yesterday, thanks to you and your stupid trick.”
“I was watching from inside,” he said, rubbing his eyes.
“Don’t lie to me, Daren. You left me out there. If you ever get me involved with Radek again, I swear, I’ll tell Father everything. You know what that means. No more hockey and maybe then I'll have my peace.”
He glared. “You wouldn’t dare.”
The door creaked open and our father stepped in. His face was blank, as usual. He never really cared about us, the only thing he did was raise us diligently and made sure we never mingled with the Moonvale pack, well obviously he failed.
“What’s going on in here?”
We both froze, I crossed my hands and Daren sat tightly.
“Nothing,” Daren said quickly.
Father’s eyes moved from Daren to me. “Someone was caught trespassing in the bayou last night.”
I knew it, he came in for something that wasn't about us.
I looked at Daren, and my heart dropped. Realization hit me, Radek was here. Could it be him?
Daren didn’t flinch. Father gave us a look and turned back toward the hallway. “Get ready and come downstairs for breakfast. We need to talk.”
He left and as soon as the door shut, I turned to Daren again. “Did Radek make it home?”
Daren blinked. “What?”
“You heard me.”
He sat back, arms crossed. “Just last night, you had your claws in his face, and now you’re worried about him?”
Radek’s PovA message popped up the moment I picked up my phone; “Please take care of Monique while I’m gone. You know she can’t handle herself out there.”I smiled.I said it out loud too, low enough for no one else to hear.“Just me and you now, cute face.”I packed light. Not for myself—this wasn’t a trip. It was a setup. I knew the kinds of things she skipped in the morning when she was rushing. I also knew what snacks she liked pretending not to like. I threw a few into a side bag. The kind of simple things you only do when you know someone enough to not ask questions anymore. My father noticed. The man barely looked up from his cup these days, but he saw me smiling to myself and cleared his throat.“What’s going on with you?” he asked.“Nothing,” I said, not meaning it.He raised an eyebrow. “You’re smiling like someone handed you the Alpha seat.”“Not yet.”He leaned back in his chair. “Keep your head straight. A distracted Alpha is a dead one.”“I’m not Alpha yet.”He looked
Mo’s PovI blinked and quickly looked away from Daren. It hit me that I had just worried about Radek. I definitely wasn't caring about him, I was just worried about Daren. At least that was what I believed. “I just don’t want father finding out you guys are friends,” I said, brushing invisible lint off my hoodie like it helped me lie better.Daren rolled his eyes. “Yeah, whatever. Get out of my room. I need to dress before he starts a morning lecture I'm clearly not ready for.” I stood there for a second longer than I should have, then I turned and walked out.I left him and walked down the stairs, my arms folded and my legs wobbling. What if it was Radek in the bayou last night? What if he didn’t make it out? Did father know he was there? No. If it were him, father would have come back with a bloodstained blade and a smile. Or maybe he already did, and he's just acting normal until breakfast ends.My stomach turned. I glanced at the kitchen door. The scent of grilled tomatoes and s

Mo's Pov“I know. Just sit tight with your seat belt, Mo. We'll be there soon.” He answered, less concerned. “You better give me an answer now, Radek.” I yelled. “Calm down. You'll hurt yourself before the fun even starts.” His hands pressed tightly on the wheel and the car sped faster. “What the hell is wrong with you!? If you can't drive or take me home, why agree to drive me in the first place?” I snapped, yelling and screaming. “Radek, stop the car.” I warned. He ignored my protest and increased the pace. “I swear I'll kill you.” My voice shaky, I held onto my bag. Fear gripped me. Was he trying to kill me? The environment was getting dark and there was not a single sound. The car suddenly stopped, and he turned back. “You can come down now. We're here.” I breathed in heavily. The building didn't seem anything like my house, there was no sign of a single being. “Radek, where are we?” I asked, ready to unleash my wolf. “Okay, here's the truth.” He said, stepping back as I
Mo’s PovIt was that time of year again. The week everyone in Redwood Hollow lost their damn minds over a ball in Grayridge college, filled with every powerful Pack's heir in the werewolf community and in Redwood hollow town. I sat quietly, maintaining the perks of being the second most powerful Alpha's daughter in Redwood Hollow. But who cares? My brother and his best friend had stolen the spotlight. The two famous hockey players in college, both in the same team and recognized as rivals in the werewolf community. My father had warned us to not engage with the Ravenmont packs but Daren never listened and I hated it. He was just calling for a death sentence all for someone who wasn't even worth it.Daren waved his hands at me, after hitting a goal on the rink. I came to cheer for my brother but I only watched my brother being cheered for by the girls in Grayridge college. No one ever looked at me, or even noticed me. If anyone did, it was the one person I hated the most. Radek. He
