Chapter 3

Kaitlyn instantly gave in, she hated herself for being so weak. She couldn't for the life of her stop him. Unconsciously, a moan escaped her lips, and Tyrell to the chance to deepen the kiss. His arms roamed her body with desire, he wanted every bit of her and suddenly, she felt the same way about him. Heat rose from the pit of her stomach and she moaned into his mouth.

It was official, she had never been more turned on in her entire life.

She felt one of his hands trail up her side, then to her neck and around her head, tangling into her hair. He slightly pulled back her head breaking the kiss.

Then he moved his lips to her neck, planting kisses all the way down to her collarbone. Another moan escaped her lips and she felt the corners of his lips curl up into a smile against her skin. Slowly, he pulled up her dress and then stood up straight to meet her gaze.

Desire burned in their eyes. They both wanted each other and they knew it.

Then he turned her around and bent her over his desk.

It was an almost exact repeat of the first time they met.

"You came home kinda late today, how was work?" Sarah asked, pulling a bowl of chili out of the microwave.

It was just a little past 8 pm and Kaitlyn was back in her apartment with Sarah. Sometimes they went home together after work and sometimes they didn't. It depended on whether they both finished up early or not and that night, Kaitlyn got really busy after the working hours. Tyrell eventually drove her home.

She had gotten home a few minutes before 7 pm that night and it was questionable because working hours ended by 5. Sarah was curious.

Kaitlyn finished up her orange juice and dropped her glass in the sink. "Not much" she began with a shrug, heading out of the kitchen, Sarah following behind.

It had to be the understatement of the century because a lot happened.

"I kinda fell asleep and got caught by Tyrell, then he asked me to write a report, I stayed back to finish it up" she explained shortly, crashing down on their couch.

"Hm," Sarah mumbled, taking a spoon of her chili.

"Oh and I slept with him again, in his office" Kaitlyn added casually without sparing Sarah a glance.

Sarah's eyes grew so wide it looked like they were going to pop out any minute. "You what?" she questioned.

Kaitlyn didn't exactly get the reaction she was expecting. She had intentionally said it like it meant nothing to catch her off guard.

Sarah was a huge fan of gossip so when Kaitlyn popped the news, she expected her to be shocked at first and then grin ear to ear while wiggling her eyebrows. It was something she always did whenever Kaitlyn was spilling tea.

"I know, I know, I shouldn't have but come on, it isn't exactly wrong" That statement sent Sarah's jaw hanging.

Kaitlyn was the last person she expected to hear that from. She wasn't the type to have casual sex but apparently, Tyrell made her feel some type of way and it was shocking. She rendered Sarah speechless.

"Stop giving me that look" Kaitlyn basically whined, crashing back into the couch.

"What look?" Sarah questioned.

"That look in your eyes" Kaitlyn answered, pointing to Sarah's eyes. "You're making me feel like I did a bad thing" she added with an eye roll.

"You slept with our boss" Sarah began in a monotone. "Twice" she continued. "Like you're sleeping with him, it's becoming a thing, Kaitlyn," she said.

"Come on Sarah you can't judge me" Kaitlyn started. "The first time you saw him at work you literally told me you would bark if he told you to" It was true, she did.

"I was kidding" Sarah waved her off with a dismissive hand.

"It didn't sound like you were" Kaitlyn shot back. "You know he's a total smoke show" she added. If she was being completely honest, she was already developing feelings for Tyrell.

"Smoke show?" Sarah raised an eyebrow. "What are you 17?" she scoffed, grabbing the TV remote.

"That's not the point" Kaitlyn waved her off. "I think he might like me" she smiled, wiggling her eyebrows.

"I don't think so," Sarah said flatly and Kaitlyn's eyebrows snapped together. "I mean it's not exactly common for someone who likes you to treat you like shit and then ram his dick into you when he wants" She shrugged.

Kaitlyn stared back at her, slack-jawed. "He doesn't treat me like shit" she started. "And that's a very weird way to put it, Sarah".

So quite obviously, Sarah didn't seem so pleased with Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn wasn't sure if she was just concerned or thought she was stupid for sleeping with their boss, either way, she wasn't happy about it. She knew Kaitlyn wasn't the type to just open her legs.

A couple of days passed and again, Tyrell acted like nothing happened. He didn't say anything about it and he still acted cold towards her. Even though she wasn't happy about it, she didn't dare confront him. She didn't have that courage. The only time she wasn't frightened just by his presence was when he was groping her.

Everything went on normally until one Wednesday afternoon. Kaitlyn was behind her desk as usual but she wasn't really busy. She was on her phone, scrolling through the internet. It had been a really boring day and she almost had nothing to do.

Well, it was boring until the door to her office suddenly opened with a loud bang. She snapped her head up and immediately met the sight of an average-height brunette storming into her office. The lady didn't look much older than Kaitlyn was and she was dressed like she owned the place.

Kaitlyn furrowed her eyebrows in both shock and confusion. It wasn't something you see every day. She got up from her seat to ask the lady what she wanted but she just ignored her entire existence and began making her way towards the door leading to Tyrell's office.

Kaitlyn might have not been so good at her job but the last thing she was going to do was let anyone walk into Tyrell's office without informing him first. He was going to be pissed.

She dashed after the lady like her life depended on it and she blocked the door before she could get the chance to grab the handle.

"Uh, excuse me" Kaitlyn began with a clearly forced smile. "I don't think you noticed me but hello I'm the secretary, may I help you?" she questioned.

"No" The lady replied and you could just sense the pride in her tone. Kaitlyn could tell from that one word she said that she was a stuck-up bitch.

"Well, this is the CEO's office and you can't just go in to see Mr Perez without speaking to me first," She said.

The lady scoffed. "Do you know who the fuck I am?" she questioned.

"No, no I do not" Kaitlyn responded.

"Well, I'm Simone Calloway and I'm here to see my baby," She said. Kaitlyn furrowed her eyebrows and Simone could see that she was confused. She let out an exasperated sigh. "I'm your boss' girlfriend and wife-to-be so can you step out of the way and let me see him?" She snapped her fingers.

All the color drained from Kaitlyn's face and she went pale. "What?" She questioned. "Mr Perez doesn't have a girlfriend" her voice faltered.

She wanted to believe he didn't actually have a girlfriend and the lady standing in front of her was just delusional. She was on the verge of tears.

"Are you fucking..." Simone began but then she paused. "Ugh, I don't have time for this" she grimaced and immediately shoved Kaitlyn out of the way.

Kaitlyn staggered for a few seconds before regaining her balance and Simone pushed the door open, stepping into the office. Kaitlyn rushed after her, still holding onto the hope that she was crazy.

How could Tyrell have a girlfriend?

"Baby" Simone threw her arms in the air immediately after she stepped into the office.

Tyrell got up from his seat, shock written all over his face and Simone rushed to him. He pulled her into a hug and then a kiss.

Kaitlyn just stood there watching and she felt like sinking into the ground. Her heart sank to her knees and she fought back tears.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" Tyrell asked, draping one arm around Simone's waist.

"I wanted it to be a surprise" She smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I have never been here, I knew you would be shocked to see me" she went on. "Also, your secretary tried to stop me from coming in here, can you imagine, she confidently told me you don't have a girlfriend"

Tyrell shifted his glance to Kaitlyn who was still standing there. You could see the pain in her eyes from a mile away. She couldn't believe it. She was paralyzed by shock and she couldn't command her legs to move. She just stood there, rigid.

"Did you tell her that?" Simone questioned.

"No" Tyrell replied, his gaze still fixed on Kaitlyn.

"You should fire for me baby," She said quietly but loud enough for Kaitlyn to hear her.

Tyrell turned to face her and a look of disapproval crossed his face before turning back to Kaitlyn. "Kaitlyn please excuse us," he said, straight-faced.

He had literally never used the word, please. He saw the pain in her eyes and maybe he felt a little guilty. He clearly wasn't planning to tell Kaitlyn he had a girlfriend.

"Ty I've missed you so much, I have a lot to tell you" Simone squeaked as Kaitlyn walked out of the room.

She closed the door behind her and went straight to her desk. She cried her eyes out. It turned out, Simone wasn't delusional, she was. She had been swooning and opening her legs for someone else's man. Sarah was right, he didn't like her, he was just using her. He was a terrible person.

She had never been that hurt. It was a lot worse than when she found out her ex was getting married. She wished she had never gone to the club that day, she wished she had never met Tyrell. She couldn't believe he would hurt her like that.

After about ten minutes of bawling her eyes out, she decided she had to stop or else she would look crazy at the end of the day. She then called Sarah to tell her everything.

Sarah sounded kind of mad Tyrell would do something like that and once again, she advised her to just ignore him and pretend like he didn't exist.

Unlike the last time that Kaitlyn believed it was impossible to ignore him, she decided to give it a try. She decided to bury her feelings and do what he always did, pretending nothing happened between them. She even decided she wasn't going to talk to him unless it was for business purposes, not like she really did before.

Sarah was happy she was finally taking her advice and then promised her a big bowl of ice cream after work. She decided it was better not to drown her sorrows in alcohol again so ice cream this time.

They eventually ended the call and Kaitlyn tried not to think about it so she wouldn't cry again but it was impossible.

About an hour and thirty minutes later, Simone finally stepped out of Tyrell's office and she made sure to shoot Kaitlyn a dirty look before leaving.

Going against everything she had decided to do while on the phone with Sarah, she got up from her seat and approached Tyrell's door. She was now angry and she wanted to give Tyrell a piece of her mind.

After giving the door a firm knock, Tyrell's voice came from inside, telling her to come in. She walked in with anger but immediately she met his gaze, all her anger faded away into nothing but pain and sadness.

Who was she kidding? She had fallen for him.

She just stood there, trying to find her words.

"Is there a problem?" Tyrell asked after a few beats of silence.

"You have a girlfriend," She said softly, fighting back tears.

"Did I forget to mention that?" He turned back to the folder on his desk.

"Yes," she answered.

"Well, I have a girlfriend and her name is Simone," he said without sparing her a glance.

Kaitlyn wiped off a few tear drops that had managed to escape and she sniffled. "So what am I?" she asked.

"You're my secretary" he replied without missing a beat. His face was blank and emotionless.

She sucked in a breath and bit down on her lip to prevent tears.

"I know what you're thinking Kaitlyn and I am not a bad guy" He started. "She's cheating on me too and I had to get even"

"So you used me?" She questioned.

"Well that's a harsh way to say it but I guess you can put it however you want to" He shrugged, leaning back into his seat.

She was done listening to him. She turned on her heels and walked out of the office. Tears ran uncontrollably down her cheeks and she didn't even bother to wipe them off.

How could she have been so stupid
