Chapter Fifty Four

“Elena?” Sarah called out as she eyed her, wondering what she was here to do.

As Matthew heard her name, he rolled to the other side of the bed, trying to get a peek at the door to see if she was the one or not.

“Sarah, who is there?” He called out, making Sarah clench her jaw.

“What do you want?” Sarah questioned.

Elena eyed her, feeling irritated and, at the same time, annoyed at her. She was here to see Matthew in the school clinic, not in one of their outings or any of their house again, so why was she acting so big?

“Excuse me.” She said and pushed her out of the door, walking in and clashing with Matthew's eyes immediately.

She felt her heart stop for a moment; the words she had rehearsed to say and how she would act jumped out of the window immediately. The door closed as Sarah entered, walking towards Matthew and taking a seat beside his bed.

“Hey,” Elena called out quietly as Matthew stared at her, not knowing what to say.
