Chapter Fifty Three

Silver stared at Matthew in shock, surprised at the word that just came out of his mouth. With her wide mouth agape, begging for her to close it and her throat trying to find some words to say to him, she brought her mouth to a close, clenching her jaw and averting her gaze away from him.

“So that’s the end of the friendship. Now I get it.” She muttered before looking up at him again.

“What’s wrong with you? Why are you in the school clinic all of a sudden?” She asked, raking his body with her eyes.

“Felt a little tired and nauseous, so here am I..”

“Are you pregnant?”

“What!” Matthew almost yelled out with widened eyes.

A deep laugh resounded from Silver’s throat, her face full of smiles.

"That’s good. Take care of yourself." She said and moved to stand up from the bed.

"Congratulations on finally leaving the single team."

Silver stopped in her tracks and turned back to look at Matthew, her lips stretching into a wide smile.

"I could say the same to you, but I don't know your status
