After an hour of napping in the bathroom, she finally came out of it. She was met with a well-laid bed with a brown bedspread and a tampon with new pants.
“You’re the best mum.” She muttered to herself, walking closer to the bed also to meet a fresh set of pajamas on it.Wearing them slowly as she can, she spent another thirty minutes dressing up, blow drying her hair and sitting in front of her mirror, checking her reflection. She picked up the eyeliner and was just about to line her eyes when the door opened, turning to look at her mum who had a distraught look on her face,“What are you trying to do?” She said to her, her brows deepening on her face.“Nothing.” Elena replied, covering the lid slowly and putting it back in its place.Clara eyed her before walking inside, in her hand a tray of hot foods for her girl. She placed it in front of her, placing her hand on her hips after as she stared at Elena.“Start eating.”“A guy?” The lady replied with a cocked brow, straightening the crease on the bed.“Yeah. A bit tall, kind of…“Apart from the female friend that brought you here and your mum checking out after, I’m sorry, but no one came to check on you after that.” She said, looking up at Elena again.“I’m sorry, but is there a problem?” She questioned.“No! Not at all. I’m just curious about it. Thanks.” Elena said, stretching her lips into a thin smile before turning towards the door. Her grip tightened against the arm of her bag, and a different kind of pain spread through her body. She closed the door quietly, walking some inches away before leaning on the wall. What had she expected? That he was going to come and check on her?“Lol.” She scoffed out, closing her eyes to stop the tears that were threatening to spill out of her eyes. She sniffed in, clenching her jaw and unclenching it before opening her eyes. She gasped out in shock as her eyes came to meet a particular one.“You look like a gh
“Sheeesh. You guys should relax.” He added before chuckling, turning to his food and digging back into it.“You guys look like you’ve been caught with something bad and will faint anytime from now on.”The bell rang instantly, and Matthew stood up, picked up his bag, and walked off.“Hey.”He heard them call out to him but decided not to answer. He proceeded to his locker to exchange the book in his bags, his mind going back to what his idiot friend might have want to say. He knew there was something, and he might have just stopped because he wanted to.He left to the class, shaking his head as he walked away. Too many things have been on his mind lately, and he was not even getting the hang of it again. He needed a good sleep or nap.Like always, the first place his eyes went to as he entered the class was Elena’s seat, his brows raised as he saw her talking to the new girl.“Thanks.” Elena said to the girl as she handed her a burger, throwing her a smile before unwrapping it.“It’s
Elena was in bed after a long school day, coming home to eat and settling down to do her assignments. She didn’t come home with the school bus because her new friend had a car and wanted to drop her off. She laid down with her back, turning her head to the ceiling and staring at it. She was still in awe about the new girl that she had stepped things up with that easily. Sighing as her chest fell, she closed her eyes briefly before opening them again. Apart from her talking too much, she was so full of energy, which Elena didn’t understand. She also had Energy in her if she was dealing with Matthew, but apart from that, there was nothing in her again. A notification popped on her phone, causing her to shift on the bed and pick it up. Her face scrunched into a frown as she saw a new number on it, her mind already taking a guess on who it could be. “Hi, friend,” the number texted her. She decided not to open the message, wanting to close the phon
“I’m sorry if it shocked you, but if you had picked up your call, I would have told you.”“And don’t you have any other friends you can spend the night with?” Elena questioned her.Gaby sighed as she picked up her bag, throwing it on Elena, which unbalanced her feet.“Next time, you’ll invite someone in before asking all kinds of questions,” Gaby said, pushing her aside and stepping into the house. There was a look of surprise on her face; the house was moderately furnished, cozy, and warm. She heaved a deep sigh, inhaling its delicious scent before finding her way to the living room.“I hate the day I met you,” Elena muttered under her breath and carried the bag, slamming the door close before dumping it on the floor. She walked to the living room and sat opposite Gaby, their eyes boring holes into each other’s as they stared.“You can’t stay here. I did not discuss anything like this with my mom before, and it would be a surprise. Just go home, and let’s plan this another day.” Elen
Clara had no problem when she saw a young girl she hadn’t met before in their house, for one thing, she was so happy Elena was finally making friends and having sleepovers in the place. “I’m Gaby,” the girl had greeted her so curtly, her cheeks filled with happiness. “I’m going to leave you to catch up and talk to each other. I have something to do upstairs.” She smiled back at her, exchanging hugs with her daughter's friend and rushing to her room. Elena was not in any way surprised by her mother's action. She knew she wouldn’t complain right from time, but she hadn’t expected her to be so shameless with it. “Your mom is so nice. Didn’t you say she was going to complain about it,” Gaby said snuggly, returning to the chair and lying down. “And she didn’t even bother to see me.” Silver added. Elena glanced at Silver, who was having a great time with Gaby and asking questions about her. How did she get along with everyone, ev
Elena gulped down, removing her hand away from silver’s and darting her eyes away from her.“It’s very obvious something is wrong. So tell me, what’s wrong?” She heard her repeat it.Elena decided not to reply, standing up from the bed, her hand moving to her hair and ruffling it.“I’ll take a shower. I feel so disgusted with myself now.” She muttered and hastily walked away.Silver sighed as she heard the bathroom door close, falling to the bed as her chest fell. Something was wrong, and it bothered her so much. They were friends, Besties that couldn’t do without each other, and now they did not even see eye to eye. It was the first time she had seen a fight between the both of them.“You know,” she heard someone say and jumped up from the bed immediately, widening her eyes in shock. Her pupils constricted as she saw it was Gaby, falling back to the bed and folding her hand to her stomach.“How long have you been there?”“Don’t worry. I don’t hold grudges.” Gaby replied, approaching
Elena clenched her jaw, taking her gaze away from him before he could see her and starting her food. Her mind and brain were now in disarray, and the thoughts she had once tucked into a part of herself were now roaming freely in her head again.“Do you want us to leave?” Silver asked.“No! No!” Elena said, shaking her head negatively and continuing with her food.“Anyone wants to go to that new store they just opened down the road? I heard they’re on discount prices. We should eat fast and go there.`` Gaby said, taking her fries and dipping them in the ketchup.“I’m in.” Silver responded.Elena clenched her jaw, trying her best to keep her composure. He was doing fine, and she was doing fine too. Why was she allowing herself to be affected by him and his actions? She had put too much in her mouth and immediately choked on one of the things she was eating,“Take it easy. Take it easy.” Silver said, moving her chair towards her and patting her back. She opened her juice, taking a huge g
“Did you see the look on her face? I tell you, everything about that girl is trouble!” Gaby said, her face full of smiles, walking between Elena and Silver.“She purposely came to the table, thinking we’ll talk to her. She’s a joke.” Silver added, closing the door of the car as they walked towards the entrance of the store.“Hmm,” Elena hummed, not saying more than that.Silver and Gaby looked at each other for a while, their heads turning towards Elena simultaneously.“You can’t keep making her trample on you. Why do you allow her to talk anyhow to you?” Gaby was the first to talk.Elena looked at her, her lips curling into a grin before drifting to a smirk. “She can’t bully me or trample on me. She knows her limit.” She said to them, taking some steps away from them. They entered the mall, their eyes widening at how full it was.“Elena,” Silver muttered close to her ears.“This is huge, Gaby! How did you know all of these?” Elena found herself saying, thought of Sarah and Matthew of
