Chapter Thirty Six

“A guy?” The lady replied with a cocked brow, straightening the crease on the bed.

“Apart from the female friend that brought you here and your mum checking out after, I’m sorry, but no one came to check on you after that.” She said, looking up at Elena again.

“I’m sorry, but is there a problem?” She questioned.

“No! Not at all. I’m just curious about it. Thanks.” Elena said, stretching her lips into a thin smile before turning towards the door.

Her grip tightened against the arm of her bag, and a different kind of pain spread through her body. She closed the door quietly, walking some inches away before leaning on the wall. What had she expected? That he was going to come and check on her?
