Chapter 5

"You're pregnant? How and who is responsible? Because I know it can't be me. We both know that much Clara" Leo said looking furious, the mood of the day changed from happy to confused in a matter of seconds.

"Well if you must know Leo, I had gone for the test and it says that I'm three months pregnant. And I can assure you that you're the last man I have been with." Clara said glaring at Leo.

The family members were all worried, Lois was confused who this lady was and what was she saying about being pregnant for Leo. Lois turned to see Noah with a devious look on his face, she couldn't prove it but this was all his doings. "Clara, I'm a married man now, and my lovely wife is here with me and nothing you do can change it, Clara I don't know where you got that thing but I'm not responsible." Leo said with rage in his voice.

An argument began on the table, Leo and Clara were exchanging harsh words. Eric had enough of their bickering. "ENOUGH OF THIS!" Eric said, making the two snap out of their insults. Everyone looked at the head of the house and they were both shocked and surprised that he reacted that way.

"Leo, I expected you to handle this like a gentleman and you're here losing your temper. If she says the baby is yours let her be. When she gives birth we go for a DNA test to know, I want the both of you to stop this childish nonsense. For crying out loud there is a child here." Eric said, calming everyone down.

Lois was amazed and confused, who was the lady standing there, what was she talking about? Eric got from the dining table and left with Malia. Leo too didn't stay another second, he took two steps front and stopped; "You will stay in the guest house outside, I can not share this same house with a demon." Leo said going back to his room.

Lois got up immediately to follow him, she was pulled back by Clara. Lois was standing face to face with Clara, "You might be Leo's new plaything but get one thing into that gold digging skull of yours. Leo is mine and will forever be mine. You are just a street slut, he will eventually get tired of you." Clara said as Lois kept her head low.

"Now let's not go too far with my sister in law, she's such a fragile creature." Noah said as he loosened Clara's grip on Lois. He bent close to Lois who was still quiet. "If I were you I would leave immediately, because the main game is about to begin." He whispered into Lois' ear.

Clara let go of Lois' hand, immediately Lois ran up to Leo's room. "What was I thinking? I thought I could handle this but I can't." Lois thought to herself as she ran into the room. She shut the door behind her, she looked up and saw Leo sitting on the bed lost in thought.

Leo was muttering something that she couldn't hear, Lois stood there looking at Leo who hadn't noticed her. "How can she be pregnant? She can't be pregnant and it can't be mine, she must be plotting something." Leo muttered out loud. Memories of what happened at the bar flashed through Lois' mind. She stepped closer to her husband, although they were bound by contract. He was still married to her.

Lois placed her hands on Leo's shoulder, immediately Leo snapped out of whatever trance he was in. Lois bent down in front of him, she cleaned the residues of what he ate for breakfast that was on his face. "You act like a child, if she is lying you will find out after the test. Just let her be for the next few months." Lois said as she looked at his eyes, getting lost in an endless sea of stars.

Leo was dumbfounded that she calmed him down but couldn't help but notice how she looked so beautiful. "Everytime I look at her, I feel this uneasiness in my belly. I can't be in love with her, it's a contract after all." Leo said in his thoughts. Leo lightened up, he got up from the bed and took Lois by her hands.

"Thank you Lois, thanks for snapping me out of that. I won't let it bother me anymore. Now I have to go, I need to go to the office and settle sometimes" Leo said as he gave Lois a peck on her cheek. He grabbed a suitcase and left the room, Lois touched the cheek Leo had kissed.

"What is this feeling? No I can't fall in love with him, well it's a contract after all he won't fall in love with someone like me." She said as she walked close to the window to see his car zoom off. Lois sat on the bed and thought about what Noah told her. "I can't just tell Leo what is going on, he won't believe me. I will find a way to expose Noah and Clara, it's the least I can do for Leo." Lois said in her thoughts.

The door suddenly opened, Lois turned to see who came in. Lois went pale out of fear, it was like she saw the grim reaper. Noah was standing by the door with a cynical smile on his face. Lois got up and stepped back a little, "No need to run away sister in law, I don't bite." Noah said, walking close to Lois, who in response stepped back.

"What do you want?" Lois managed to say but she did with a low tone, Noah smiled and started laughing. "You want to know what I want? I will tell you what I want." Noah said, still smiling like a lunatic. He stopped laughing, his smile disappeared, he looked at Lois with bloodshot eyes.

"I want you to leave this house and go far away, I don't see a reason why a slut like you will stay here, I advise you go find an old dying billionaire that's what your kind likes." Noah said, still walking close to her. Lois made sure to keep herself at arm's length.

"I won't hurt you, not now I mean. I will make this house a living hell for you Lois, I will make your every stay here a miserable one." Noah said as he closed the gap between him and Lois, he then grabbed her by the wrist. "Let go." Lois said, trying to free her hand from Noah.

"I will let you go whenever you leave this place, Lois, you don't belong here. Such wealth shouldn't be wasted on you or my foolish brother." Noah said as he tightened his grip on Lois, Lois kept trying to free herself from him but it was all in vain.

"The more you fight to stay here, I will make each day worse than the last." Noah said as he was about to grab her by the neck. There was a knock on the door.
