Tanner came downstairs to see his parents.

"There he is" Luna Eve said kindly.

"Hey Kiddo! Are you okay?" Alpha Vergara asked.

"Yes father, I am really sorry for how I spoke to you earlier. I was just feeling a bit stressed out"

Alpha Vergara clapped his shoulder. "You little brat! I am not mad at you at all. When was the last time you shifted?"

"It's been quite long" Tanner replied.

"When we get back, let's go on a little run. Hmm!"

Tanner nodded.

"my son, I am so proud of you. That photo of you at the charity event with those celebrities, I had it framed" Luna Eve bragged, she pulled him to the wall to show him.

"There, do you see that? We are so proud of you" she told him.

"You really had it framed mom?" he asked with a smile.

"this is the second version" she replied.

"What was the first version?" Tanner asked curiously.

"Perez's kid was in it. I refuse to have anything related to him in my home" Alpha Vergara told him.

Tanner looked at him and gulped, he wondered how his father would feel if he told him that he had gotten on his knees for Alpha Vergara's son.

"I think we should go, it's late" Tanner told them as he led the way out of the house.

They got into the car and drove off.

At Crescent moon, they stopped at the pack house and parked.

On getting into the pack house, "oh look, Alpha Vergara finally graces us with his presence"

"Oh Alpha Perez, we both know you are the late comer here. Besides, Tanner came back home, he has had quite a stressful season. We had to make sure he was okay" Alpha Vergara replied.

All eyes were on Tanner.

"Rovak, how many goals have you scored this lesson?" Alpha Perez asked.

"I have had 41 goals" Rovak replied.

"and what about your kid?" Alpha Perez asked.

Alpha Vergara turned to Tanner, "tell him son" he said.

"I had 38 goals" Tanner muttered.

"See..." Alpha Perez gave a satisfied smirk.

"Come on, let's start the meeting" Another Alpha muttered.

Tanner kept his eyes on Rovak. There was something different about him.

As soon as the meeting started, Rovak left the room.

"I will be back soon father" Tanner whispered to his father and quickly left.

He looked around and spotted Rovak in a corner, drinking wolf gang.

"Can I have some?" he asked Rovak.

Rovak looked at him and wordlessly handed him the bottle.

Tanner looked at him in surprise. He was expecting an arrogant smirk at most. Instead he got nothing.

He drank the Wolfgang and then he looked at Rovak.

"Perez, are you okay?" Tanner asked.

"What do you mean?"

"It's just that you don't look okay"

Rovak laughed. And then he pushed Tanner against the wall.

"What...what are you doing?" Tanner asked.

Rovak unbuckled Tanner's belt.

"This is what you want right? That's why you can't just fucking leave me alone. You can't forget about my mouth right, you want more"

Tanner stepped away. "I don't want that"

Rovak stood up, "Then what do you fucking want Vergara?"

"to talk to you? To figure out what is going on with you?"

"Vergara, we aren't friends, we are rivals. We hate each other. Fine, I admit it, I had a little curiosity about you. I had a itch and I scratched it. Nothing is going to happen to us. We aren't going to be anything" Rovak told him.

Tanner was furious. All he had been trying to do was show concern and the ass hole had to act this way.

"You know I keep thinking you have something redeemable about you. But no, you are just an ass hole just like your father"

Rovak smirked. "Well, I am my father's son after all" he replied.

"Next season, I am so going to crush you. I won the rookie of the year award and my team is going to take the Everglades cup"

"bring it on Vergara, I am going to win that cup and you will bare your neck to me in front of everyone"

"and when I win that cup, you will get on your knees in front of everyone"

"I knew you liked me on my knees"

"Go to hell Perez"

"See you there Vergara"

That night when Tanner shifted to his wolf form and ran, he was filled with rage.

Alpha Vergara wondered what was going on with his son.

Tanner seemed to have a lot of pent up energy.

Alpha Vergara shifted back and just watched him run around.

Eventually Tanner shifted back and lay on the grass.

"Tan, what's going on with you?" Alpha Vergara asked.

"I am just annoyed"

"Why were you annoyed?"

"It's uhm Rovak"

"Alpha Perez kid?" Alpha Vergara asked.

"Yes"

"What about him?"

"I tried to give him a chance. I thought we could be a bit friendly as the werewolves in the league. But he is just so annoying and he is such an asshole" Tanner ranted.

"oh Tan, if you had asked me before befriending him, I would have told you not to brother. His father is the same way, they never appreciate a thing"

"I just feel so foolish" Tanner admitted.

"Son, don't waste your energy on the Perez's. They are bad news"

"Lesson learnt father, and I am so going to beat him this season. I will make you proud."

"that's my son" Alpha Vergara said proudly.

....

"It's good you scored more goals than him, even though you lost that award" Alpha Perez told Rovak.

"Yes Father"

"now, next year, I need you to win that shiny cup thing"

"the Everglades cup?"

"whatever" Alpha Perez waved it away.

"I understand father"

"And don't you ever ignore my calls, I will just send River over to you. Understand?"

"Yes father" he replied.

Despite himself, tears gathered in his eyes.

Alpha Perez looked at his teary eyes in disgust.

"goddess! You are just as weak as your mother."
