Chapter 52 : Freaked out

I panic right after I find my phone switched off and turn it on. I never switch my phone off when I'm outside. Especially for a whole year, I don't remember I ever switched it off because of emergencies regarding Chrissie.

"I don't know, Sir", Nicole stutters. "I didn't even know it was switched off"

"I clearly remember it was switched on when I gave it to you", I sneer, shooting her a strong glare.

I don't reply to her anymore and open the call list. There were a lot of missed calls from Ivanna a few hours ago. It was when I was in the studio. The network is too poor over there. But there's a recent call from her just an hour ago. And it was declined.
