Chapter Hundred ~ Why did you betray me?

After an hour-long drive, I finally reach a normal-looking house which I’m guessing is under another name and if anything happens here, no one will know, making a smile stretch across my face. This is about to get very interesting!

I walk to the front door and open it carefully, the last thing I want is to be tied to a chair and put my kids in danger especially since I came here without backup. But I have a few friends nearby and they will be more than glad to help out. Pushing the door open, I step inside, scanning the dimly lit room.

"Anderson, where are you?" I call out. The house is so empty, my voice echoes. I take a seat on the couch as I wait for the man of the hour to show up.

"Liam, I'm glad you came," Anderson says, his voice calm but I can taste his fear at the tip of my tongue.

I nod at him as he takes a seat on the other side. “You look better.” I begin and he chuckles but it’s a forced laugh. As I look at him clearly, I can tell he is having a hard time and h
