Olivia Grace sat in the luxurious car owned by her husband, Hunter Jackson. Her face was pale—not just from the nausea of the newly discovered pregnancy, but from the storm of emotions raging inside her. She couldn’t believe he had the audacity to drag her home like that.

"Hunter, let me go! You can’t just pull me around like that in public!" Olivia shouted, yanking her arm from Hunter’s firm grip.

Hunter kept his eyes on the road, his jaw clenched tightly. “I’m your husband, Olivia. I have the right to bring you home. Did you really think I’d let you spend the night with your ex?”

The jealousy burning inside him was reaching its limit.

“I just needed a quiet place to think! You don’t know anything about what I’m going through right now!” Olivia shot back, her voice raised.

Hunter pulled into the driveway of their grand estate. A heavy silence hung between them as they entered the house. Once the door shut behind them, Olivia turned to face him with fire in her eyes.

“What were you thinking, Hunter? You drag me back home, and then what? What do you plan to do with me? Tear me apart the way you tore apart my dignity with that woman—Sofia?!”

Hunter closed the distance between them in seconds, his face red with anger. “And you think I’ll just sit back and watch you with Ethan? Your ex? You’re playing with fire, Olivia.”

“I never intended to cheat, Hunter! I left because I needed space—to process all your lies. About you and Sofia, about how cold you’ve become!” Olivia shouted, tears beginning to fall.

“So now you’re blaming me for everything? You think I’m not hurting too? Seeing my wife spend the night with another man?”

“And you think I was happy watching my husband betray me behind my back?!” she screamed even louder.

Suddenly, silence. Heavy breathing was the only sound between them. Olivia’s eyes were red and swollen, and Hunter’s fists were clenched tightly.

“I didn’t sleep with Sofia,” Hunter said at last, his voice quieter. “But I was close to her. Because I was jealous, Olivia. Because you made me feel like I wasn’t needed anymore.”

Olivia let out a bitter laugh. “So jealousy is your excuse now? Is that how you justify betrayal?”

Hunter took a slow step toward her. “I was wrong. I admit that. But I’m human, Liv. I was hurt. I felt like you were slipping away and I didn’t know how to stop it.”

“You think I can just forgive you? After everything? After all the pain you’ve caused?” Olivia asked, her voice trembling.

Hunter looked into her eyes. “I don’t deserve your forgiveness. Not easily. But if you give me the chance, I’ll fix this. I promise I’ll change.”

Olivia took a step back, her chest tightening. There was a storm raging in her heart. She still loved him. But the wounds were too deep.

“I... I don’t know, Hunter. It’s too much. And—”

Suddenly, her body swayed. Her vision blurred. Hunter rushed forward and caught her just before she fell.

“Olivia! Liv, what’s happening?” he shouted in panic.

Olivia closed her eyes, her body limp in his arms. “I... I’m pregnant, Hunter...”

Hunter froze. The world seemed to stop spinning.

“What...? You said... pregnant?”

Olivia opened her eyes slowly. “Yes... and I don’t want my child growing up in a house full of lies and hatred.”

Hunter stared at the woman still in his arms. His eyes welled up, not with anger this time, but with sorrow and regret.

“I swear, I’ll protect you both. I’ll be a good father, Liv. Please, give me a chance…”

Olivia lowered her head, tears falling onto Hunter’s chest. In this moment, she felt fragile. She wanted to believe him, but the fear and pain were rooted too deep.

“Give me time, Hunter. I can’t make a decision right now.”

Hunter nodded slowly. “I’ll wait. As long as it takes.”

Silence fell again, the sound of their heartbeats filling the space. But outside the house, Sofia Joy wasn’t going to let their marriage heal so easily.

Meanwhile, in a luxury apartment, Sofia Joy stared at her phone with burning rage. A short video of Hunter dragging Olivia out of the hotel had gone viral in elite circles.

“Olivia Grace… You think you’ve won just because you’re pregnant? Think again. I won’t stay silent. You’ll regret ever coming back to him.”

Sofia tapped on a hidden contact in her phone. A man’s cold voice answered on the other end.

“What do you need, ma’am?” the man asked.

Sofia smirked.

What will Sofia do now that Hunter Jackson is back with Olivia Grace?

Evalina shivered—not just from the cold, but from the fear that crept relentlessly through her veins. But she couldn’t give up. Not now. Not when her life was hanging by a thread so fragile, it could snap at any moment. Her eyes lifted upward—to a small ventilation opening high on the wall. With trembling legs, she forced herself to stand, dragging a small table beneath the vent. Her hands shook as she reached up, pulling out a piece of broken plastic spoon she had secretly kept from her last meal. She wedged it into the edge of the vent cover and pushed.A faint crack echoed in the silence—the vent was loosening. It wasn’t large, but big enough to slip through one thing: a phone.Evalina reached into the inner pocket of her clothes. She still had it—the small phone she’d once been given by a street kid she helped. It didn’t have many functions, but it had enough for one thing: sending a message. With unsteady fingers, she typed quickly:“I’m being held. This is my last GPS coordinate

Not as an enemy, but as a mother. Meet me at the Crown Hotel, 7 p.m. Please, give me this one chance. —Shopia."The message startled her. But for some reason, the fragile part of her heart—the one that still wanted to believe not everything in this world was cruel—urged her to go.“I’ll be back soon,” she said to Monique before leaving.Monique nodded, though uneasiness lingered in her chest.---The Crown Hotel stood grandly in the heart of the city. The lobby shimmered under crystal chandeliers, and the marble floors mirrored passing reflections.A middle-aged woman greeted Evalina near the elevators with a warm smile—Shopia Jackson.“Thank you for coming,” she said softly, her voice sounding unusually gentle.Evalina was tense but tried to remain composed. “What do you want to talk about?”“Let’s go upstairs. Drizzles tapped gently against the pavement. The night was quiet, only occasionally interrupted by the distant hum of passing vehicles.Evalina sat in Monique’s living room, knees pulled to her chest. The memory of last night clung to her like a shadow—she couldn’t sleep, couldn’t breathe.Fear had become her constant companion.Suddenly, a soft knock broke the silence.Knock. Knock.Evalina turned her head sharply, holding her breath. Then came a voice she knew all too well from behind the door:“Eva… it’s me. Hunter.”Her blood ran cold. Her hands trembled as she stood. She hesitated—unsure if she should open the door. But her instincts told her… she had to hear him out.Slowly, she unlocked the door and cracked it open—just a little.Hunter stood there in the rain, drenched, no umbrella. His face was weary. Those dark brown eyes looked at her like a man who had lost everything.“I won’t come in if you don’t want me to,” he said softly.“I just need to talk.”Evalina bit her lip.Fo

Evalina stood near Monique’s apartment window, the curtain drawn just enough for her to peek outside. The black car was gone. But the unease in her chest hadn’t faded. She jumped at the sound of a knock.Knock. Knock. Her breath caught. Her heart pounded in her chest.Knock. Knock.“Who is it?” she whispered, barely audible. No reply. She glanced through the peephole—The hallway was empty.“Monique?” she called again, louder this time.Still silence.Suddenly, her phone vibrated. Monique.“Eva, I’m so sorry—I’m stuck in traffic. There’s an accident at the intersection, and the police closed the road,” Monique’s voice sounded frustrated.“So… you’re not here yet?” Evalina asked, panic rising.“Not yet. But I’ll be there soon. You’re inside, right?”Evalina closed her eyes. Then… who knocked just now?She nodded even though Monique couldn’t see her. “Yes. I locked all the doors. Don’t worry.”After ending the call, she slowly walked toward the door again, double-checking the locks. But

The night wind gently blew through Evalina's hair as she stepped out of the small corner minimarket. A plastic bag containing bread and milk hung from her hand. The street was nearly deserted, with only the occasional car passing by. Yet, an unsettling feeling crept into her chest—as if she was being watched. Her steps slowed. She glanced over her shoulder. No one.Still, the discomfort didn’t fade. Her phone vibrated in her hand, and she quickly reached for it, hoping it was Monique. It wasn’t.An unknown number. She ignored it.Trying to calm herself, Evalina kept walking. It was an engagement announcement."Three months," Hunter whispered to himself, trying to believe it. "Just three months. Then this will all be over."He lowered his head, recalling the last time he saw Evalina—those eyes filled with betrayal, fury, and a heartbreak she never got the chance to voice. He hadn't told her the truth.
