21. Warm Bath

Evianna:

As I slowly opened my eyes, I felt a sharp pain coursing through my body. The sun was shining brightly on my face, and the grass beneath me felt cool and soft. Confused, I sat up and looked around, only to realize that I was in the middle of a dense forest.

The forest was eerily quiet, and a faint smoke lingered in the air. As I stood up, I noticed that I was barefoot and felt the warm soil beneath my feet. Suddenly, a voice echoed in my ears.

~"You need to stay away from him, Evianna."~

My heart raced as I looked around but there was no one in sight "Who's there?" I called out "Stay away from who?" I asked, totally dazed.

But there was no reply. The place was eerily quiet, and the only sound I could hear was the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze.

Confused and scared, I started to walk in the opposite direction of the voice. As I walked, the trees became denser and the forest floor became uneven. I stumbled over roots, trying to keep my balance.
