LOGINCamellia’s steps up the stairs seemed to be stumbles. The look in her eyes, staring straight ahead, looked blank. Now, her head was filled with Hagen’s words, who kept looming along the way to her room.
“Slept a year with him, he said,” Camellia muttered, which instantly stopped her pace. One of her hands was holding the stairs, clenched tightly. “I won’t sleep with you! You’re a jerk!”
Camellia shouted with all her might, “Who are you who dare to look down on me?!”
She hit the handrail of the stairs under her hand until her palm was numb.
“You’re @$%&@, and I hope your junior %$#@& and ****** just die, you @#%&.” The girl also continued to curse without pause with every vulgar and colorful word she knew, which she happened to hear from garden workers and servants when the house was still in its luxurious state.
“I hate you so much! You scum man!”
After shouting the last word, Camellia’s tears suddenly burst out profusely, making her sob. She forced her broken cries to stop, her stirring voice echoing against the door.
“Daddy...” she called with a heart full of pain. She didn’t even know who to lean on because no one was willing to help her at this time. “Daddy...” she cried as she patted her chest, as the pain made her claustrophobic suddenly.
With a limping stride, Camellia carried herself to the front of her locked room.
She even seemed to have trouble standing upright, as her head was heavy after she had finished crying and screaming.
As soon as Camellia walked into the room, she threw herself onto the bed, pouring all of her pain and sadness onto the pillow.
Until the sun rose, Camellia chose to shut herself up. She was hesitant to move on, and her day began with a self-wrapping sadness. However, as soon as she saw the clock on the nightstand showing one for the day, Camellia knew she couldn’t continue lying down while her father was in the hospital.
With a limp body and a tired face, Camellia decided to visit her father.
....
The metallic car Hagen was driving was still parked in the courtyard of the Duncan family home. He was just about to go inside when he suddenly heard Camellia shouting. Instantly his body turned tense, and his legs subconsciously turned around, about to return to the girl’s house. However, as soon as he heard the swearing and cursing, Hagen fell silent where he had just stood.
He listened carefully. Realizing that the girl’s choice of words was unusual, Hagen leaned on the car body.
Frank, who had been in the driver’s seat since before, just stared at the door of Camellia’s house with a lazy look. Every now and then, he glanced at his boss, who seemed to enjoy the expletives from the girl.
“Do you want me to shut her mouth?” asked Frank as Camellia’s scream of a colorful curse didn’t stop. Next to him, Hagen’s eyebrows went up to the forehead, and then Hagen shook his head faintly as he continued to watch the door in front, which was about ten meters away.
The two men were finally silent, but their bodies turned tense when Camellia’s cursing turned into a loud crying. And suddenly, Hagen also opened the door of his car.
“Let’s get out of here,” he said flatly as he went inside.
Frank and one of Hagen’s subordinates on the front seat looked at each other, but they just shut their mouths and their vehicle got out of the parking lot when the girl’s cries turned into a miserable cry.
When the car drove smoothly through the gate, Frank glanced at Hagen, sitting in the back, through the rearview mirror above his head.
Apparently, his boss was not the least affected by the girls’ cries that they heard, because he seemed to be busy with the phone in hand. Frank was sure that his boss continued his delayed work, replying to emails and studying meeting materials that hadn’t had time to be read.
“Keep looking forward, Garry,” Hagen reprimanded his subordinate.
Not once did he lift his head because his attention was still focused on the work in his hands, making Frank wonder if it could be that his boss had many eyes.
“Aye, boss,” Frank retorted, whose full name is Garry Frank.
Camellia felt pain all over her body, especially her arms and head. Not to mention that her back felt like it was being skinned, making her cry out in pain. Only Hagen's voice won her over, muffling the sobs that had been about to break out."What else hurt, Princess? Tell me," Hagen said worriedly while examining every inch of Camellia's body.Sobbing slightly, the girl stretched her hand forward to reveal a few scratches on her hand.Seeing that, Hagen immediately wanted to find those women earlier. He didn't accept seeing the cuts and scratches on Camellia's body."My head really hurts," the girl sobbed which made Hagen realize that there were a few strands of hair on the floor. The man held Camellia's head and examined her quickly. Although the girl's hair looked disheveled, luckily none of them were bald so he breathed a sigh of relief.Hagen was so angry as he remembered what had just happened. If the four people who had beaten Camellia weren't women, he would have avenged them
Camellia's hold Hagen's tightly as her eyes glanced around at the several men crowded into the room. She had no idea why Hagen had taken her to a secret meeting attended by only a few elite men in town."Why did you bring me here?" Camellia whispered while looking around, especially to some familiar faces. They were fairly well-known people in Lancaster as well as Denver. Even a few of them were very close to her father, but after the corruption scandal revealed in the media, for some reason, these men were out of sight."I need someone as my date," said Hagen while lowering his body so he could whisper to her, too."Why should take me? Just invite another woman, Camelia replied, avoiding the enviously accusing glances of several of the women in the room.Hearing the girl's words, Hagen could only laugh softly."Why would I invite a different woman when you are willing?" The man asked back, as if making a statement. "Sometimes I really wonder, what's actually in your head, Princess?"
"How long will you keep me here?"The sound of spoons and forks that previously filled the silence in the dining room was finally interrupted by the question just now.Hagen, who had been focused on the food in front of him slowly raised his head and turned to Camellia, who was waiting for an answer. This was the third day he had held his captive at Petunia Castle and it seemed that those plump lips had been uttering endless protests.Did you purposely bring me here to hold me again? asked the girl. Even, the man also canceled the party they were supposed to attend two days ago with a very classic reason. The night before the party, Hagen said, You still need treatment, Camellia. I don't want people to burden you with questions about why your face is bruised. And of course, that was a very reasonable reason, but Camellia still couldn't understand why she had to be held in the Castle for up to three days!Still feeling a goiter, Camellia looked back at Blake Hagen. This time, the fork
Camellia was introduced to two butlers at Petunia's castle, Hestia and Baron. However, the two of them secretly stared at Camellia with dislike expressions. And strangely, they immediately changed the way they looked at Camellia in front of Hagen, as if they accepted and welcomed Camellia with joy. However, when the man turned around, their turned hostile towards her, making Camellia wonder what went wrong. And only when they arrived at the room Camellia was about to occupy, Blake Hagen gave a little answer through their conversation."Hestia has raised me since I was a toddler, as well as the Baron who has worked in this family for tens of years since my grandfather was around."That explanation made Camellia think a little about the reason why the two maids didn't like her."Have you ever brought a woman here?"Camellia's blunt question stopped Hagen from going to the bathroom. The man paused for a moment, before finally glancing at Camellia who was now standing by the window. With
Camellia’s eyes slowly opened. With a wistful gaze, she looked straight into Hagen's shiny obsidian eyes. Even still under the influence of their second kiss, the girl seemed stunned. The squeeze of her hand that had been holding the man's jacket finally loosened. With slightly shaking hands, she tried to hold onto Blake Hagen's shirt.Only when her eyelashes fluttered down on her cheeks did Camellia find her voice again."What..." she muttered, slightly confused. As soon as her brain started working and digesting what had just happened, the girl's hands were in the air and a slap landed on the man's masculine cheek, which in the end made Camellia have to cover her mouth with both hands.Because she didn't think he could be that reflex either.Oh, I-I'm sorry! Camellia shouted with a shocked expression. She hastily held Hagen's face to examine the man's cheek, but Hagen quickly avoided her touch which instantly stopped Camellia. There was a slight pain in his chest as the man delibera
A handkerchief was held in front of Camellia's face, which instantly made the girl's tears stop. With a confused look, she glanced at Hagen who looked very calm while driving the car.The man also gave Camellia some privacy, causing the girl to freeze slightly. And now she realized where this car would bring her to."I don't want to go to the hospital, please," Camellia muttered as she glanced at Hagen who slowed down before finally turning around at a red-light intersection."Thank you," Camellia said, slowly bowing her head with her hands intertwined. However, Hagen's touch on her fist startled Camellia quite a bit. The girl glanced at the man next to her and she realized that Hagen had been secretly watching her every move.Camellia quickly dismissed all those feelings. She was about to let go of the grip, but Hagen tightened his grip even more."Where do you want to go?" Hagen's question had taken Camellia by surprise, since it was the first time he'd asked her opinion.Camellia
