“I… I don’t think I’m ready yet.”

Although she had chosen to trust Li Tingxiao, they had barely known each other for any time at all, so Su Jianxi could not bring herself to be intimate with him the way normal couples are.

The moment Su Jianxi said that, the weight on her body vanished without a trace.

Li Tingxiao had gotten out of the bed. “Then we’ll have our wedding night when you’re ready.”

With that, he walked into the shower without once turning back.

Su Jianxi’s tense body finally relaxed slowly when the bathroom door closed him.

They had had an intense night yesterday, and too many things had happened today as well, so Su Jianxi was asleep in a few minutes.

When Li Tingxiao walked out of the bathroom after his shower, he saw Su Jianxi, fast asleep.

The woman’s features were usually haughty, but now they eased up, making her look sweet and beautiful.

Li Tingxiao dropped a light kiss, barely a touch, on Su Jianxi’s forehead before lying next to her, turning off the lights, and going to sleep.

Early the next morning, Su Jianxi was woken by Sis Kimi’s call, urging her to hurry to Heroic Emperor and sign under their label.

Heroic Emperor was an entertainment company that surpassed Heaven’s Entertainment in every way. Eighty to ninety percent of their talents received great opportunities, so as Su Jianxi’s manager, it was no wonder Sis Kimi was anxious.

“Alright, I’ll be there right now.” Su Jianxi rubbed her eyes. Just then, Li Tingxiao rubbed her cheek sweetly.

The man said in his hoarse voice, “Sleep for a little longer. I’ll send you there later.”

Before Su Jianxi could say anything, Sis Kimi exploded on the other end of the phone. “Su Jianxi, why do I hear a man next to you so early in the morning? What did you do last night? Don’t tell me, did you throw everything out the window just to get back at Shen Siming. I was wondering why Heroic Emperor would want to sign you even though you quit showbiz. Are you… Are you trying to drive me crazy?”

She was so unbelievably loud that Li Tingxiao could hear every word, even though Su Jianxi had not put the call on speaker mode.

The man snatched Su Jianxi’s phone away and told Sis Kimi, “I’ll send Jianxi over later. If we’re late, get the guys from Heroic Emperor to wait for a bit.”

With that, he hung up without giving Sis Kimi a chance to say anything.

Li Tingxiao’s words practically proved all of Sis Kimi’s suspicions.

On the other end of the call, Sis Kimi was spinning around in circles right now. What kind of man did Su Jianxi sleep with last night?

Ask Heroic Emperor to wait? How could that man sound so demanding?

Su Jianxi could easily imagine how shocked Sis Kimi must look right now. Li Tingxiao was hugging her tightly, so she looked at him, both a little angry and quite amused, “The contract with Heroic Emperor is really important to me. I have to be there on time.”

“I’ll send you there later.” Li Tingxiao did not take Su Jianxi’s words to heart at all. “It’s still early, so let’s go back to sleep.”

“No, I have to get up now.”
