“I’m glad you’re back, I was worried something happened to you on your way back. Oh yeah, Huanran kept getting bad takes in a show she was filming recently, and it just so happens that the show is a period drama where she’s wearing a veil. Why don’t you lend her a hand? She got drenched in the rain during a shoot a few days ago, and she’s been out of it ever since. Since you have nothing better to do after your trip, help her out.”

Shen Siming spoke as though issuing an order. He clearly felt there was nothing wrong with what he was saying.

“Then ask her stunt doubles to do it. Huanran has more than ten professional doubles dedicated to her.” Su Jianxi gave herself a cold laugh inwardly. It was because she had done Su Huanran so many foolish favors that they took advantage of her like it was natural now.

Well, she finally saw the truth behind the lies, so she was not going to dance to their tune so stupidly anymore.

“Jianxi, you know Huanran’s the star lead in this feminist show, and it’s really important to both her and our company. If she gets any bad press, it’ll have a huge impact. She’s your friend and a celeb with our company, so be it personally or professionally, you should help her.”

“Help her?” Su Jianxi’s lips curved into a cold smile as she replied, “True, I should really help Huanran out.”

Su Jianxi purposely emphasized the word ‘help’ and hung up immediately after.

Now that she knew the truth, she would definitely ‘help’ Su Huanran, alright. She was going to make Su Huanran pay ten times over for everything she had taken from her!

Su Jianxi called Sis Kimi again, telling her everything that had just happened.

Kimi instantly lost her cool. “How could that POS be so shameless? All Su Huanran has going for her is her looks. As if she has any right to have you as her stand-in! Are you kidding me? Could they be any more shameless?”

“Sis Kimi, calm down for a minute.” Su Jianxi sounded perfectly composed.

“Don’t tell me you really intend to stand in for Su Huanran?” Sis Kimi was about to blow her top. If Su Jianxi had not left the entertainment scene back then, what could that biatch Su Huanran have possibly done?

Su Jianxi chuckled. “Sis Kimi, since I plan on returning to the entertainment scene, that means Su Huanran will be my enemy. I’m gonna go there and take her place, but I won’t let her use me like a puppet anymore.”

Su Jianxi’s reassurance calmed down Sis Kimi’s taut nerves. “Sounds like you have a plan.”

“Yeah. Sis Kimi, I want you to hire a reporter to go to the scene of the shoot and film some first-hand evidence. Su Huanran mentioned that she never once used any doubles for her leading role in this show…”

Before Su Jianxi even completed her sentence, Sis Kimi grew excited. “I got it.”

It was quite common to be openly shamed in the entertainment scene. Su Huanran was now the actress Heaven's Entertainment was trying to promote the hardest, but the higher they climb, the harder they fall. If she was exposed for her lie about not using doubles in her heroine role, it would not kill her career, but it would still trouble her for a while.

“Also, Su Huanran is Shen Siming’s woman, so get paparazzi to stalk them both, Sis Kimi. That way I’ll have the evidence when I confront them in the future. Oh, and stalk my dad and Su Huanran’s mom, too.”

Sis Kimi had already been curious about Su Jianxi’s sudden decision to make a comeback, and now that she heard this, she instantly understood why Su Jianxi’s attitude had changed.

Those bastards Shen Siming and Su Huanran were one thing, but to think that Su Huanran might even be Su Jianxi’s sister. No matter who it was, they would not be able to stand something like that.

“Don’t worry, Jianxi. I’ll get everything ready for you.”

“Thanks, Sis Kimi.” After that, Su Jianxi called a Didi cab and headed for the site of Su Huanran’s shoot.
