Chapter 21
“Where the hell have you been!? Do you know how worried I was?” I jumped a little, surprised at the booming voice directed towards me. “I thought I sent you a text” I said, pocketing my phone's and checking for his contact. I sighed when I saw that I had not informed him about staying out of home.
“Ethan said you went home but then you didn't! Please inform me next time Chloe” he looked so disappointed when he said that, he moved past my bedroom and went away slamming the door to his room forcefully. It is true that I was wrong this time, but I had always lived alone for so long that he didn't appear on my mind last night. I knew I had to apologise but his moody self is something I can't deal with right now, especially when I’m running late for school.

Chapter 23One month later,I had another gig tonight with the band and Brandon's brother whom I am yet to meet. Currently, I’m waiting for Damien to come over and drive me to the venue but he is running late because of the traffic. Chapter 24Brandon's brother who I came to know as Sebastian joined us after our performance. He smiled at me widely,no doubt recalling our small interaction at our school. However,the look on his face changes from smile to shock when he sees Damien wrapping my waist in his arms. Apparently Sebastian recognised our English teacher but the same couldn't be said for the man who had his arms wrapped around my waist. Chapter 25I watched the people go from the classes,pretending to take notes and occasionally stealing glances over Mr Young. And when classes ended,I stood up abruptly and shuffled my way out of the class in pretense of needing to pee. I glanced over my shoulder to see Mr Young smiling at me with amusement.When I made sure that almost every student was at the cafeteria, I slowly made my way to the teacher's office holding my literature notebook in case I got caught.I pushed the door open without bothering to knock.However,I wish I hadn't done it because Miss Smith and Mr Young were standing so close to each other,talking animatedly as if they were sharing a secret. Chapter 28“Aunt, I'll be fine. Just be safe on your way back” I reassured her the upmteenth time this morning.
