Alan smiled tenderly and grabbed her hand, "I was going to ask you this at our date this evening, but it turned out like this. So here goes nothing, Amanda West, will you love to be my girlfriend?"

Amanda immediately removed her hands from his as if she was burnt by the question, she cradled her hands to her chest as she stared at him in shock. She wasn't expecting him to ask that question anytime soon, "but..we... Alan..." She stuttered out, trying to form words for the thoughts in her head.

"Listen, you don't have to go over all the possibilities or overthink it, okay? Just say what your heart wants, I'll take any answer you give" he reassured her with a smile, and she just bobbed her head in response.

She stared at him in silence, before she took a deep breath and blurted out "yes" with a smile. She knew what her answer would be when he asked her the question, but her brain just went into an overdrive at how sudden he asked it.

He smiled brightly a
