Massimo’s POVAs soon as she said those words, my resolve fell and I looked at her face, noticing how her eyes had suddenly filled with tears.“Anna, that's not-"“Don't call me that!" She screamed, making me quickly shut my mouth as I stared at her in both shock and confusion. What the heck? She slowly got up from the chair, pushed the plate in front of her in my direction and began to walk away from me but I wasn't going to let her do that. She hadn't eaten anything all day, and she was about to go to bed on an empty stomach. “Get back here and sit down!" I yelledAt the sound of my voice, she turned around, looked me right in the eye and seethed;“Or what?" “…or I will punish you severely for that attitude… and then I’ll go straight to the hospital right now and pull the plug on your mother." The frown on her face fell and I saw her shoulders fall. My words seemed to have some sort of effect on her as she immediately walked back to the table with her head down and then sat back
Adrianna’s POV“I stood at a corner, feeling completely detached from everyone and with tears in my eyes, but I wasn’t crying because of Massimo this time. I was because I was at a funeral. My mother's funeral.Massimo had allowed me to be here thankfully but had still given me more than enough rules to keep me in plane while we mourned.I could vividly remember the day it had happened, how it had rained heavily and how he had burst into my room as if the devil was hot on his tails. I could remember the look in his face and how I had immediately known as soon as I saw his face. The memory drifted around my head like water vapor and just when I couldn’t take it any longer, I broke down in tears, feeling very terrible. Everything was my fault, I hadn't been there for my mum.I had acted very irresponsible and it put myself in trouble. Fine, I knew I did it because I wanted to save her… I had wanted to be able to afford her medical bills, now see where that has gotten me?If only I had
Massimo’s POVMicheal had fixed a dinner party to celebrate the finalisation of the deal and I had been forced to bring a date. I fought tooth and nail to make him forget about it, but he always had a way of making me do things.I sure as hell couldn't bring Jamie and I had no other women in my life, although I knew I could get any woman that minute that would love to go with me. Suddenly, Adrianna's name popped into my head and I immediately dismissed the thought. We weren't on best of terms right now and I knew she'd rather drink acid than be anywhere close to me.There was no point in even thinking about it, I'll just have to find someone else I was comfortable with. Micheal was taking Gina, that was for sure. For thirty minutes, I sat in my office, racking my head about what to do. Micheal came into the office with that goofy grin of his, that meant mischief. “What did you do this time?" I asked him before he spoke, before I knew that there was a story.“Oh, I didn't do anythi
Massimo’s POVThroughout the car ride, I tried hard not to stare at her but it was difficult not to as her beauty was something to behold. It held me mesmerized.I always knew she had a pretty face because it was quite obvious but little did I know that she was this beautiful when she allowed herself to be; and even though she was barely wearing any make up, she was still looking exceptional.Well, it might have been the color red. I had a weakness for it and so I guessed that maybe it wasn't her but the dress that was making me think so. “It has to be the dress…” I murmured under my breath and when I noticed that she was staring at me in a way that seemed like she was questioning my sanity, I looked away. She avoided my eyes too and I could see how rigid she was around me as she stared out the window the entire time. This was the first time since she would be outside in weeks and so I wasn't surprised that she was using this opportunity to see the streets rather than engaging me in
Adrianna’s POVI'd be lying if I said I didn't love this place. As soon as we walked in, I was awed by how beautifully decorated the entire place was. A massive golden chandelier hung from the ceiling like a beautiful monster and it’s glow seemed to set the color theme for the other arrangements. The tables were decorated with golden cutleries, and the chairs looked very antique yet expensive.Everyone here looked like a billionaire or some important person… and I just stuck out. The moment people noticed Massimo's presence, all eyes turned to us and it was as if my heart stopped beating for a nanosecond. I felt like they were judging me. The looks on the women's faces weren't welcoming at all and I should have expected it. Massimo was a very attractive man and not a lot of women would be happy to see that he had brought someone with him. The way everyone looked at us gave me a sunken feeling that I couldn’t shake off even as he squeezed my hand reassuringly. I already felt like I
Massimo’s POVSo far, everything had been going well. Adriana had been on her best behavior and was standing very quietly by my side. I knew this setting would be new to her and so I had decided to go easy on her. However, I almost couldn't get my mind off her even as I spoke to my business partners because she was just so stunning, it was quite difficult to ignore her beauty. It seemed like all my warnings to her had gone a long way because she just kept quiet throughout the entire time. For some odd reason, I actually wanted her to talk or at least make input in one way or the other but she didn’t. I worried me.I also liked how she held my hand, squeezing it at intervals. It was almost as if she was reminding me of her presence whenever I was about to forget that she was here.As I walked along the tiny pathway between rows of chairs, I saw Larry, a man I used to work with for most of last year and had a couple of deals with. Our business had to come to an abrupt end when I notic
Adriana’s POVThe whole situation was looking very suspicious. Massimo had dragged Micheal away and I could see him frantically waving his hands in the air and shouting at him. Something was obviously very wrong. I hoped they figured it out though. I used this time to feed my eyes on the people, especially the obviously expensive dresses that the women wore. I had seem some very beautiful dresses I wanted to fantasize about later in bed and was so engrossed in their beauty that at first I didn’t notice when someone stepped behind me. I was only brought out of my reverie when the person tapped my shoulder from behind and I turned around only to find a blonde beauty standing in front of me.She was tall of course and quite curvy. She looked very pretty in a red dress similar to the one I wore but hers had a long slit by the side that reached all the way to her hips. The way she looked at me showed that she was obviously part of the women who hated me for no just cause. She held a gl
Adriana’s POVA coughing fit woke me up from sleep. I was feeling cold so I tightened my grip on the blanket. When did my bed get this soft? Also when did I get a blanket? My eyes shot open and I sat up right. I looked around the room and frowned. Everything was white from the sheets to the curtains and the carpet. A far cry from my room that was black. What the hell happened and where was I? I tried to wrack my head to remember but a splitting headache was the answer. A few minutes later, the door swung open and Massimo came through along Michael. They exchanged weird looks that immediately got me worried and I began to wonder what was going on. “You're awake." “What's going on?" Micheal came closer and sat on the bed while Massimo just stood by the door. “Adriana, you need to calm down. How's your head?" Micheal asked. My head? I touched my head and realized that it was bandaged. No wonder I have a bad headache. “What happened? Why's my head bandaged?" I looked from Massi
