A Date. Lyla Atelo. "Mrs. Lyla... Are you okay?" Sara's personality took a three hundred and sixty degree turn as her eyes immediately softened and her hands changed the position in which I was being held. Now it looked as if she was trying to help me up. Sage stepped into the office like he owned the place with a quiet grace in his strides. I couldn't read his eyes or tell what he was thinking as his eyes fixated on me. Sara began throwing a fuss as she tried to help me up. "Mrs. Lyla was weak, and I've been trying to get her to go see a nurse but she refused. When she tried standing up, that was when she fell and I tried to hold her up." Sara began explaining herself, but I could see her lower lips trembling. I could tell that she was as scared as she was enamoured by this man in front of us. "Right? Mrs. Lyla?" Her eyes came back to me, and I could see the plea and desperation in her voice. Wasn't she the one who was mouthing that she could destroy me just a few seconds ago? Why was she so scared now? I gently pushed her off me and took slow steps towards my chair, taking time to straighten my rumpled gown. "But Mrs. Lyla," Sara came even closer to my seat, trying so hard to be Sage's good grace by pretending to care about me. "You need to see the nurse. The dizzy feeling will only make you clumsy, and you may fall down the stairs if you're not careful." She gripped the edge of my table as she scooted forwards, shielding my body with hers. I didn't know what she was playing at, but the sinister grin appeared on her face once more. "What is going on here?" Sage repeated himself from behind, I watched Sara jump in fear. "I said that..." Sara was saying when Sage cut her off immediately. "Did I ask you?" He cocked his head to the side, his jaw clenching in anger. "N...no. no, you didn't." She was stuttering before the tone of her voice reduced until it was almost nonexistent. "Good. Now get out of here immediately!" And with that, she was out of the office, shutting the door behind her. Finally, it was just Sage and I that were left in the office. * Michael Atelo. The first shareholder appeared with a grim expression on his face. "Michael..." He began. "I know we've been friends for a while now, but this thing that is going on in your company.." he clocked his tongue and took a sip of his wine. "The shareholders can no longer sit quietly about it. Some people have already started dumping their shares." "How many times do I have to tell you, Damien? The Dominic Ventures are only bluffing. They can't destroy this company. We have—" "But you signed the contract, didn't you? You sold the company for a meagre sum of money just because of your greed." He paused and regarded me for a while. "I know it hurts to say, but you're my friend and I have to tell you the truth." "We already have a backup plan if the company falls, Mr. Damien." I heard the click of heels coming towards us, and I couldn't help the happiness that filled my heart when she appeared. She was the only one who knew how to sort out these kinds of issues for me. "Miss Kendra..." Damien raised a glass of wine to her approaching figure, and I couldn't help the pride that swelled in my heart when I looked at her. Her face was flushed with a rosy blush on her cheeks, a testament to our earlier rendezvous in my office. Seeing her here again made me tingle down there. She was efficient in every task given to her, and even more efficient when she is obediently under me, taking my dick in her slick folds. Damien's gaze roamed her body for a long time before he drew his eyes from her to look at me. "You've been saying that for a long time now. When will I have the pleasure of knowing what this back up plan is?" He took another sip of his wine. Kendra smiled tersely. "Allow us to worry about that, and just trust us, Damien." Her voice was warm and carried a tone of assurance. It wasn't long before Damien stopped questioning us again, and he left later on. Finally, it was just Kendra and I in the room. "We need the money. And fast." She told me without a hint of smile on her face. I pushed myself from the pillar I was leaning on, and snaked my arms around her waist, pulling her closer into me. "What do you suggest I do? Lyla doesn't trust me..." I leaned into her luscious breasts and took a deep breath, licking the surface of the gorgeous things in front of me. I felt the way she shivered and continued to suck on the skin even harder. "Let's..." Her voice was a breathy moan. "Can we... Can you... Maybe... Plan a date with her. Or a short... Ugh.. Vacay... Ugh... Vacation." She was moaning in between words because I didn't stop licking and sucking. I lifted my head from her beautiful breasts and flashed her a big smile. "I will do just that, mi amor." I leaned in and gave her a deep kiss. "Now, get back to work. And try as much as possible to make up with her while I will be trying to keep her from talking to you. That way, if any of us are able to get through with her, we will be able to convince her to give me all the money." Kendra regarded me for a second. "Just make sure to put more effort in the date that you've planned out. You need to make it as believable as possible."Chapter 50The Twist.Lyla Atelo.“I'm not…”“…wealthy enough to purchase this? Of course I know that. Sage gifted this to you, right?” Her eyes were beaming in joy. She didn't look disgusted at all about anything.“What other things did he get for you?” She peered into the box that sat in front of us, trying to rummage through it.“You know I can't accept this, right?” Right now, I needed her support for me to turn down these gifts. It was too much. I couldn't handle something this big.“Why not?” Ivy paused and lifted her head to stare at me with a frown.“It's not right, and you know that.” I tried to stress out, but Ivy didn't seem to be following. “He is… you know, he's my student. I'm his teacher. This kind of thing isn't supposed to be going on between us.”Ivy's eyebrows rose further up and she rolled her eyes. “Take it as a simple gift from a student.”“Simple? You call this simple?” I pointed to the document that still lay on the table. “It's a freaking Jewellery store. Not
Chapter 49A Brand New Owner.Lyla Atelo.Sage wasn't in school for the rest of the week, and today was Friday. I had texted him over and over again, but he never responded. I was tempted to go over to his house, but I didn't want a repeat of the last time.I was currently sitting in my office when the door was forcefully pushed open, and my least favourite person walked into the office.“Hello, Sara.” I folded my hands on my table and sat up to face her squarely. She gave me a once-over before taking in my office as if she had never been here before.“Will Sage be coming for Camp?” She asked outrightly.“Excuse me?”“You heard me right. Or are you dumb?”I choose to ignore her choice of words. “I heard you loud and clear, but what I don't understand is why you're asking me.”“Aren't you the one he's fucking?” She said calmly, not at all fazed by the vulgarity of what she was saying.“If you were remanded in court and asked to prove those allegations, would you be able to?”“Don't you
Chapter 48Naughty Little Slut.Lyla Atelo.I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and optimistic for some unknown reason. I turned to my side, watching Michael sleep peacefully beside me. I rolled my eyes and began to prepare for school.“You're quite late today. That's so unlike you.” Dominic, one of my male colleagues, pointed out as we walked side by side down the corridor.I shrugged. “I slept late, and I woke up late.”His mouth curved into a small smile, “Your husband kept you up all night, aye?” He teased slightly, and it took all of me not wince at his words.I forced a smile on my face with a little ‘heh heh’ to avoid the question. “So, are you prepared for the camping experience?”He understood my discomfort and immediately changed the subject. “I wasn't picked. There are only two male teachers coming while the rest are females. Aren't you aware of this?” He squinted as if trying to remember something. “Seeing that you're the coordinator of the camp?”“Coordinator?” I
Chapter 47Coming To Camp?Lyla Atelo.I came home with a stupid smile on my face. Sage had made my entire evening and I was just smiling like a fool.“You're back," my husband appeared from the corner of the doorway leading to the kitchen. He wore an apron which suggested that he was cooking.I frowned slightly at the sight of that, while waiting for him to complain that I had come home late.“I'm back, yes.” I smiled a little at him.“And in high spirits as well.” He noted that part, “I hope you had a great day at work.”“I did. How about you?” I shrugged off my shoulder bag which was beginning to get heavy and set it on the table, taking in a deep breath of what he was cooking.“I made dinner. Would you like some?” He noted the actions of my nose before asking, but I shook my head immediately.I knew my husband by now. I could guess what he wanted from me, but I waited for him to say it. Michael never did any nice things for me unless he wanted something in return, and this wasn't
Chapter 46Take Me Home.Lyla Atelo.Sage did not say anything until the car came to a stop in a luxurious shopping mall where he went back to driving mode, parking the car at the exclusive parking lot. He stepped out to open the car for me, taking my arm in his."What are you doing? Where are we going? Why are we here?" I asked him even if I could guess what exactly it was that we were doing here."Shopping." He shrugged. "I saw on the internet that you should take a woman shopping when she is angry. It— ""But I'm not angry. Why would I be?"He gave me a quick look before shutting the car. "Yeah, right, you aren't. But I'm here to apologise anyway."Amidst my protests, Sage had his arms hooked around mine until we reached one of the most expensive jewellery stores in the city."Pick anything you'd like. Diamonds. Gold. Silver. Precious stones. Anything." He said as he signalled one of the sales assistants to come over. The girl gave me a once-over, and she did not hide her displeasu
Chapter 45In The Car.Lyla Atelo."Get In the car, Lyla." Sage's voice came in a little stronger this time as he looked over my shoulders. "Unless you want your colleagues to keep speculating that something is going on between us."Our eyes met when he said that, and I paused to think. Did he also have in mind the same question I had? I wanted to ask if there was actually something going on between us, but I didn't dare voice my question out. I didn't want to sound desperate, but still... something that Michelle said earlier egged me at the back of my mind."What do you think about Ivy?" I averted my gaze from his face and looked down to the tarred road. I looked everywhere else but at him. "Is it true you're into older women, and I'm just one of your conquest?"I suddenly felt the cold night wind hit my skin, and I looked up in alarm to see Sage backing away from him. He stared at me with an emotion I couldn't decipher before spinning his car key between his thumb and index finger.
