The moment I found myself standing outside Kael's study again, I realized I had been reborn.

My entire body was trembling.

Their voices were too familiar. For a moment, I thought I was trapped in another nightmare.

Behind the door, one of Kael's friends said. "Are you really not going to tell Lyra about this?"

"Changing the Marking Ceremony venue is a big deal. If she finds out you made the decision without asking her, she's going to lose it."

Kael let out a sigh. "That's exactly why I'm not telling her."

"She's about to become my Luna, yet she still gets jealous over the smallest things. If she finds out now, it'll just turn into another argument, and I'll have to spend days calming her down."

He chuckled softly. "Besides, Lyra loves me. She would do anything for me."

Kael shrugged as if it were obvious. "When the rogues attacked, she threw herself in front of a silver blade to save me. That's how she got those Silver Scars."

"Changing the venue is hardly a big sacrifice. she'll find out and agree to it."

One of the Alphas frowned. "What if she never finds out about the change and misses the Marking Ceremony?"

Kael shook his head. "She won’t. She handled every detail of the ceremony herself. "

"If anything changes, she'll be the first to notice."

My Silver Scars throbbed beneath my skin. Even now, I still needed regular treatment.

Back then, when the silver blade pierced my body, all I cared about was keeping Kael alive.

I had once taken a silver blade for him. In the end, he stood by and watched me die.

My heart clenched. Memories from my previous life crashed over me.

Five years after I became his Luna, enemy wolves broke through Ravencrest Pack's defenses.

The night was filled with screams, blood, and the stench of silver.

I dropped to my knees with a blade buried deep in my chest.

Kael stood only a few steps away. Close enough to save me and to hear me call his name.

But he never moved. He simply watched me bleed.

Because in his eyes, I was the one who was responsible for Isabella's death.

If I hadn't fought him over the venue change, the Old Luna wouldn't have sent Isabella to the Shadow Pack.

Isabella wouldn't have died. That's what Kael believed.

The pain in my chest had faded as my blood soaked into the earth. The mate bond between us had grown weaker with every breath.

Then everything had gone dark. I was died.

Now I had come back three days before I was supposed to become Kael Thorne's Luna.

Kael had decided to change our Marking Ceremony from Moon Bay to Snowpeak Mountain.

In my previous life,I had been furious.Because Moon Bay meant everything to me.It was where I fell in love with Kael.

This time, it would be where I finally let him go.

Someone inside the room laughed. “Come on, Kael. Don’t pretend this has nothing to do with Isabella.”

Another man joined in. “Exactly. You changed the venue because Isabella said she wanted to see the first snow on the Snowpeak Mountain.”

“She only mentioned it once,” Kael replied.

There was no embarrassment in his voice. “If it makes her happy, I don’t see the harm.”

The men laughed again.

“I can’t blame you. Isabella Hawthorn is beautiful, and her family has one of the oldest Alpha bloodlines in the North. Every unmated Alphas wanted her.”

“We all thought you’d choose Isabella as your Luna.”

Then someone added, “Instead, you’re marking Lyra Rowan. She was never exactly a great beauty, and those Silver Scars certainly didn’t help.”

Kael’s voice turned cold. “Watch your mouth.”

The Alpha authority in his tone swept through the room, “Whatever you think of Lyra, she is my future Luna. No one insults her in my presence.”

A chorus of hurried apologies followed.

A faint glow lit up the phone on the table. One of Kael’s friend whistled. "Isabella Hawthorn."

Kael picked up the call, his voice noticeably gentler. “Isabella, what made you call?”

Isabella’s bright laugh floated through the speaker. “I just received the necklace you sent me. Kael, it’s beautiful.”

“I saw it at the auction and thought it would suit you.” Kael said.

“I love it, but it must have cost a fortune.”

“Three million isn’t a fortune.” His voice softened. “If it makes you happy, it was worth it.”

Isabella laughed again. “Then I’ll wear it to your Marking Ceremony.”

“Of course.” Kael paused before adding, “I’ll have a gown made for you as well. If you’re wearing that necklace, the dress needs to be perfect.”

After the call ended, I heard him contact Ravencrest Pack’s most sought-after designer.

“I need a custom gown completed within three days,” he ordered. “Use whatever materials you need. The cost doesn’t matter.”

Then Kael seemed to remember something. “I’ll send you the Moon Sapphire. Set it into the gown.”

“The Moon Sapphire?” someone asked in disbelief. “There’s only one in existence.”

Another man sounded even more surprised. “Wasn’t that supposed to be the center stone in Lyra’s engagement ring?”

“You’re giving it to Isabella as decoration?”

Kael answered without hesitation. “Lyra already has enough jewelry. She won’t miss one stone. Isabella’s dress has to match the necklace.”

I lowered my head with a bitter smile.

For my own Marking Ceremony, I had nothing except a cheap white veil. It was the only thing Kael had prepared for me to wear at our Marking Ceremony.

I still remembered the night he gave it to me.

“You’re going to be the Luna,” he had said. “You should set an example. There’s no need to waste Pack resources on extravagant jewelry.”

His fingers had brushed the edge of the veil. “Besides, your Silver Scars haven’t faded yet. A veil will suit you better than a necklace.”

The Moon Sapphire had been the promise he made after I nearly lost my life saving him.

He had sworn it would become part of the ring he placed on my finger before the Moon Goddess.

Now the gem would be nothing more than an ornament on Isabella Hawthorn’s dress.

Strangely, I did not feel angry. I only felt tired.

I took my phone and sent a message to the only person waiting for my answer.

I had been the princess of the Evermoon Pack.I walked away from my home for Kael.

In the end, Kael betrayed me. He stood by and watched me die.

This life, I wasn't making the same mistake twice.

Because I knew after Kael abandoned me on that battlefield, one man came for me.

He fought his way through an entire pack with blood on his hands and my name on his lips.

When he finally reached me, he dropped to his knees, gathered my body into his arms, and cried like the world had ended.

He carried me home. Even in death, he never let me go.

I looked at the countless messages he had sent over the years.

In my previous life, I had ignored every one of them.

This time, I finally replied.

I accept your proposal.

Three days from now. Moon Bay. Let's complete our Bonding Ceremony there.

A second later, his reply came. Only three words appeared.
