Epilogue

The seven of them stood around the twin pyres in silence, watching the flames climb high into the sky, the wood splitting and crackling under the heat. The yellow of the flames reflected in each of their faces, sorrow and loss weighing down their steady gazes.

There had been worry as to why her wing still hadn't healed 12 hours after she'd been hit by Vince's spear of darkness. Turns out he hadn't just shot through her bone in her wing, but through some vital arteries as well. AHH, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT - IT'S DONE, IT'S FINALLY DONE, I'M SO UPSET AND HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME. Thank you all soo much for your support, I couldn't have finished this story or kept it up for so long without all of you who read it, and all of your comments. As for this being the end, I'm still not sure - there are still avenues and unanswered questions I want to explore and characters I still want to delve into, so we'll have to wait and see.
