Chapter Fifty

Nicholas had left to speak with Liam on something that, I assumed, was important, especially since Liam had a serious look on his face and I stayed behind for a while, waiting for him to get back and avoiding going out of the room.

I knew that if I made the mistake of going out just to look around, I was going to get questioned by several of the pack members, and I wasn't ready to answer any questions or deal with judgmental stares.

I took a good look around the room and then, I proceeded to lie down on the sofa for a bit since I was feeling a little tired and stressed out. I was just about to fall asleep when I heard voices coming from the front of the door. I immediately sat up and paid attention to the voices, and one of the voices sounded very familiar.
