Jude’s POV

I was eavesdropping on Robert and Davina’s whole conversation out in the balcony.

I had seen her step outside to get some air, and I mind linked Robert to give him a last chance or attempt to speak with her before he leaves for his unknown fate.

I was hoping she would finally find it in her to give him some sort of belief about reconciling to make him hold on to living and surviving that mission.

Things started out rough between them at first; because of Davina’s dry attitude and brutal honesty of course, and I was afraid things might take a turn for the worst rather than the best. But she managed to change that at the last few minutes by giving him that belief indirectly.

She was the most stubborn person I have ever met in my life, I admit.

However, she was starting to soften a bit and I call that progress.

When I saw her moving back inside, I turned myself towards Ian to avoid being caught overhearing her conversation.
