SUMMER

“Let me down!” I screamed at the top of my lungs at Mitch, who just barged into my room and scooped me up from the bed unexpectedly. His actions forced me to wake up.

“Not in a million years, darling.” He chuckled, sounding super pleased with himself. “It's time for breakfast.”

“At least let me brush my teeth!” I rubbed my eyes, pissed at him. “You can't just kidnap me from my bed!”

“Would they tag it as a capture if your captors are as handsome as hell?”

“Who even told you that? You are as ugly as a hag!” I yelled at him, hoping he would put me down. Being so small doesn't benefit me most time.

“Huh? That wasn't what you said in your sleep. I heard you correctly.”

I froze at his words. “My… My dream?” I murmured. “What dream? What are you talking about? When did I say that?” I watched him, scowling at how contented he looked.

“I'm not telling you shit, baby girl. All I know is we are handsome.” He bent and pecked me on my forehead.
