She was so fucking beautiful.
A picture of perfection as she stared down at the city that I had grown up in. Her new home loomed in the horizon and although I had looked upon the wondrous sight of Nova Aeria for most of my life, seeing it through her eyes made me appreciate it all the more.
For a moment, I allowed the warmth of her happiness to engulf me. I allowed myself to forget the troublesome declaration that had singed my very soul.
Controlling my wolf had been a miracle indeed. The beast longed for release. To claim our woman and show her exactly who she belonged to. He wished to mark her right in that fucking car. To silence her misguided notions of the mate bond, everyone else be damned.
