Dad lunged at Xander with a fist and he dodged it but dad moved his fist downward and punched him in the face. From then on, I didn’t see much, it was like a blur. 

“Dad, stop!”

I screamed but they didn’t hear me. I wanted to pull them apart but my mom held me. “No, stop! Dad, that’s my mate!” I screamed and my dad stopped. His eyes looked deep into mine with emotions I couldn’t read, his hand fisted around Xander's neck and blood down his nose. Xander’s fist landed on his jaw and he glared at him then knocked the daylights out of him.

I rushed to his side and frantically tapped him trying to make sure he wasn’t dead. I checked his pulse and he was still alive. I sighed in relief and glared at dad. He shrugged with a guil
