7: Cry

Zeux's P.O.V.

I'm now with Jason at the bar. I suddenly missed spending time with the woman. I've been preoccupied with being nice to Vanessa lately. I'm sure she was wondering why I did that to her, but there was no other way to express my gratitude. Her parents are very nice, and I appreciate them defending me, caring for me, and treating me as their second child. 

"How are you and Vanessa doing? It's a good thing she's not asking you why you've been so nice to her," Jason inquired.

I inhaled deeply. "I know she's wondering, and I know she has a lot of questions, but that's the only way I can help. And one more thing, she needs it, especially since I found out her Aunt and Vanessa are having a hard time."

"Perhaps it hurt her so much because she lost both of her parents at the same time," Jason said, looking at me.

I finish the tequila I was holding and begin to speak.

"Of course, it hurts her a lot, and it hurts me too, especially because I was the reason they were killed. My pack mistook them for other people who wanted to kill us, but they were wrong."

I clenched my teeth. "I discovered that Vanessa is very angry with werewolves, and she curses us. Fortunately, and I'm the only Alpha to survive, I'm lucky because I survived at the hands of humans, so I really need to be careful. Humans must not know my true identity."

"What would you do if Vanessa discovered you were a werewolf? "

I fell silent, I don't know what to do. I know she will not forgive me if she discovers who I am, so I must be cautious at all times, concealing my true identity from her forever.

"Perhaps I'll conceal my true identity from her. She won't know who I am until she meets the person who will tell her."

I exhaled a sigh. I stood up and made my way to the dance floor. I looked for the woman I wanted and found her right away. I approached her and whispered something into her ears.

I drove quickly to Vanessa's house. When I was driving too fast, I nearly flew my car. I went inside as soon as I arrived at their house. Vanessa was sobbing as she hugged her Aunt.

"Come on, we need to get her to the hospital," I said, picking up her Aunt and putting her in the car.

Vanessa was still in tears. I immediately start my car's engine and drive quickly. Vanessa sobbed uncontrollably. I'm not sure why, but hearing him cry causes pain in my chest.

"Auntie, please fight back. Remember what I promised you? I'm going to be rich. Just wait me become rich. I'll buy everything you want," she sobbed. 

Her Aunt was taken to the emergency room right away. Vanessa's nose and eyes were already bright red from crying. I grabbed her shoulder.

"Vanessa, please relax. Everything will be fine. Stop crying," I said calmly.

"I don't want to lose my Aunt anymore. I can't take it anymore. She's the only one I have. I don't want to be alone. I don't want to," she said as she sobbed.

"I know, everything will be fine. Just relax. I know what you feel but you must keep yourself strong," I said as I hugged her tightly.

She's still sobbing. I brushed her hair. Because of the amount of tears she has shed, my clothes are wet. 

The doctor eventually emerged from the emergency room. His eyes were sad when he looked at us. He sighed before began to speak.

"I'm so sorry, the patient is no longer alive."

Vanessa was shock. Her tears began to fall once more.
