LOGINThe soft morning light slipped through the curtains and fell across my face.
I slowly opened my eyes, feeling a strange heaviness in my body. My head hurt, and my throat felt dry. For a moment, I didn’t even know where I was.
The ceiling above me looked unfamiliar.
The bed felt too soft.
The room was too big.
The air smelled like expensive perfume and clean sheets.
Confused, I slowly sat up.
That was when I noticed it.
I was naked.
My eyes widened in shock. I quickly grabbed the blanket and pulled it over my body.
“Why… why am I naked?” I whispered.
My heart began to beat faster. I looked around the room, trying to remember what had happened the night before.
The bar…
The drinks…
The stranger…
My breath caught in my throat.
Then it all came back to me.
His strong arms catching me.
The elevator.
The soft bed.
The kisses.
My face turned pale.
“I… I slept with a stranger,” I murmured.
A wave of regret washed over me. I had never imagined my first time after a heartbreak would be like this. I didn’t even know his name.
What if he was a bad person?
What if he took advantage of me?
What if I never saw him again?
I pushed those thoughts away and quickly got out of bed. My clothes were neatly folded on a chair beside the bed.
At least he wasn’t a complete monster, I thought bitterly.I knew he tried to stop me but I kept on pushing him and now I had sex with someone I didn't know and someone I have not seen in my entire life.
I dressed up quickly, my hands shaking as I buttoned my shirt. My mind was still full of confusion and regret.
Just as I finished dressing, there was a knock on the door.
My heart jumped.
“C–come in,” I said softly.
The door opened, and a middle-aged woman in a cleaner’s uniform walked in. She gave me a polite smile.
“Good morning, ma,” she said. “Someone asked me to give you this.”
She handed me a small card.
“He said you should call him,” she added. “I guess he was the one who brought you in last night.”
My fingers tightened around the card. My heart felt heavy again.
So he had left.
Without even saying goodbye.
I forced a small smile. “Thank you.”
The cleaner nodded and left the room quietly.
I looked down at the card in my hand. The paper felt thick and expensive. The letters were printed in bold, elegant font.
Mr. Harrison Grey.
I frowned.
“Who could this be?” I whispered.
The name sounded powerful. Important. Like someone with money and status.
But I didn’t know anyone with that name.
I slipped the card into my bag, still feeling uneasy. I didn’t even know if I should call him.
What would I say?
Hello, I’m the drunk girl you slept with last night?
The thought made my cheeks burn with embarrassment.
I grabbed my bag and rushed out of the room. I didn’t want to stay there any longer. The place reminded me too much of what I had done.
As I stepped out of the hotel, the cool morning air hit my face. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves.
But my mind was still spinning.
I had just slept with a stranger.
A complete stranger.
What if Gabriel found out?
What if Tessa knew?
I shook my head.
“No… it doesn’t matter anymore,” I whispered. “They already broke me.”
Just then, my phone vibrated in my hand.
A message.
I opened it, and my eyes widened.
It was from Mrs. Harrison and I never hesitated to pick the call.
“Come home immediately. You need to arrange things. Tessa’s father will be visiting the house today after so many years.”She said finally
My heart skipped a beat.
Tessa’s father?
He was finally coming back?
For as long as I could remember, he had been out of the country. I had never met him before. He was just a name, a distant figure in the family and I heard he divorced Mrs Harrison after an arguement and now he has come back to see his daughter Tessa after so many years.
A strange excitement filled my chest.
Maybe… just maybe… I could finally have a father figure in my life.
Someone who would call me his daughter.
Someone who would protect me.
The thought made my eyes sting with tears.
“I want to meet him,” I whispered to myself. “I want to call him daddy… even if it’s just once.”
For a moment, I forgot about the stranger, the card, and the mistake I made last night.
All I could think about was going home.
Maybe, just maybe, something good was finally about to happen in my life.
I quickly stopped a taxi and gave the driver my address.
As the car moved, I held my bag tightly, not knowing that inside it… the card with the name Harrison Grey was about to change everything.
The evening was quiet.Tessa was lying on her bed, holding her phone. She was smiling at Gabriel’s picture. She missed him.Even though they had talked the night before, she still wanted to hear his voice again. Her phone suddenly rang. Her heart jumped when she saw his name.“Gabriel “She answered quickly.“Hi, baby,” she said softly.Gabriel’s voice sounded low.“Hey.”Tessa noticed something was wrong.“You sound tired. Are you okay?”There was a short silence.“I don’t know,” he said slowly. Her heart began to worry.“What happened?” she asked.Gabriel sighed deeply.“It’s nothing.”“Tell me,” she insisted. “Please.”Another silence. Then he spoke.“I’m in trouble.”Tessa sat up immediately.“What kind of trouble?”“It’s complicated,” he said. “I didn’t want to tell you.”“Why?” she asked quickly.“Because I don’t want you to think I’m using you.”Tessa’s chest tightened.“Using me? Never. You can tell me anything.”Gabriel took a slow breath.“I need money.”The words fell softl
Tessa stood outside her mother’s room, her heart pounding. She had overheard everything from downstairs. Every single word. Her father calling Diana a “heartless mother” and blaming her for Tessa’s behavior. Her chest felt tight. She couldn’t understand all the anger, but she felt a fire burning inside her.She stepped into the room.“Mom,” she said, her voice trembling but firm.Diana looked up from the chair where she had been sitting, scrolling through her phone.“What is it?” she asked, her voice cold but curious.Tessa took a deep breath.“I… I heard what you said about Emily. You want to teach her a lesson?”Diana’s eyes narrowed slightly. She stood slowly, towering over her daughter.“Yes, Tessa,” Diana replied sharply. “She needs to learn her place in this house.”Tessa’s jaw clenched. Part of her felt nervous. But another part… another part was excited.“Yes, Mom,” she said quietly. “I… I agree. We can teach her a lesson.”Diana’s face softened for a moment, seeing the loyalt
The house was quiet.Harrison placed his briefcase on the table.Something did not feel right. He could not explain it.But his heart felt uneasy. He looked upstairs.“Emily?” he called. No answer. He walked slowly toward the stairs. Each step felt heavy. When he reached her door, he knocked gently.“Emily?”There was a small movement inside.“Yes… sir,” her soft voice answered.“Can I come in?”There was a short silence. Then, “Yes, sir.”Harrison opened the door slowly.Emily was standing near the window. Her back was facing him.Her shoulders looked stiff.“Why are you in your room this early?” he asked calmly.“I was just resting, sir.”Her voice sounded strange.Soft.Broken.Harrison stepped closer.“Turn around,” he said gently.Emily hesitated. Then she slowly turned.Harrison froze. There was a red mark on her cheek.Clear.Fresh.His eyes darkened immediately.“What happened?” he asked.Emily quickly looked down.“Nothing, sir.”His voice became firmer.“That is not nothing.
Morning came quietly. The house looked peaceful.Birds were singing outside. The sun was soft and warm.Emily woke up early like always. She washed her face and looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes still looked a little tired. But she forced a small smile.“I will be strong,” she whispered to herself. She came downstairs. The house was calm. Harrison had already left for work. Tessa was not around.Diana was sitting in the living room, drinking tea.She did not greet Emily.Emily still bowed her head politely.“Good morning, ma’am.”Diana did not answer.Emily felt the cold air but said nothing. She went to the kitchen quietly. She wanted to avoid trouble. She boiled water for tea. She cleaned the table. She moved slowly and carefully. Her hands were shaking a little. She remembered the argument from before. She did not want any problem again. After some minutes, Diana’s voice came from the living room.“Emily!”“Yes, ma’am,” she answered quickly.“Bring me a glass of water.”“Ok
Gabriel’s house was quiet that evening. The lights were dim. Soft music was playing in the living room.Vanessa was sitting on the couch, crossing her legs slowly. She looked confident. She looked relaxed. She looked like someone who always gets what she wants.Gabriel came out from the kitchen with two glasses of wine.He smiled when he saw her.“You came,” he said.Vanessa took the glass from him.“Of course,” she replied. “You said you missed me.”Gabriel sat beside her.“I did,” he said softly.Vanessa looked at him carefully.“What about Tessa?” she asked.Gabriel laughed quietly.“Tessa is just… Tessa.”Vanessa raised an eyebrow.“She thinks she is special.”Gabriel smirked.“She believes everything I say.”Vanessa leaned closer to him.“And what do you say to her?”Gabriel shrugged.“That I love her. That I want a future with her.”Vanessa laughed.“You are a bad guy.”Gabriel leaned back comfortably.“I know.”Vanessa touched his chest lightly.“And you still called me here?”
Diana did not calm down after the argument. She sat on her bed, but her mind was not resting.Harrison’s words kept playing in her head.“She deserves dignity.”“She is under my protection.”Diana’s hands tightened on the edge of the bed.“Protection?” she whispered angrily. “From me?”Her chest felt hot.She stood up and began to walk back and forth inside her room.“She came into this house and suddenly I am the bad one?” she said to herself. Her pride was hurt. Her heart was bitter. And the worst part was not the dishes. It was the way Harrison looked at Emily.Calm.Protective.Different.Diana stopped walking. Her eyes became cold.“No,” she said quietly. “I will not sit and watch this happen.”She opened her closet and took out her handbag. If she stayed in the house, she would explode. She needed to talk to someone.Someone who understood her.Someone who would not judge her.She grabbed her car keys and walked downstairs. The driver looked surprised.“Madam, are you going out?
