20. Pool party.

Conrad's house is already loud and buzzing in full swing by the time we arrive. Marco parks the car and we all step out of the car. The party's booming music can be heard even outside here. Conrad's house is huge, decorated with beautiful flowers, lavish statues, and a large round water fountain at the centre of the house. I can spot the glittering blue edge of the big swimming pool behind the house.

Marco and Jennie begin to walk towards the house entrance, which is crowded with people exiting and going in all at once. Westville faces turn to my direction as I follow Jennie and Marco into the house. Some don't say anything. Others simply just ignore me, sipping from their red cups. Nate's presence behind my back gives me a sort of reassurance. But deep in my mind, I still feel skeptical. I just hope I did not make a mistake by coming to this party. Anyway, they should mind their damn businesses.
