Chapter 5
Antonio gazed at the woman he had brought last night. She was wearing a red dress, with a seductive and arousing figure, but Antonio suspected her to be one of the traps left by Elliot.
Meanwhile, Antonio and Nath had no other choice but to search for any traces of that damn fraudster. Both men had thoroughly searched every place Jean had been, even within a five-meter radius, yet neither Antonio nor Nathan found Elliot.
At first glance, what they had discovered seemed impossible. How could someone under surveillance suddenly vanish and leave behind a beautiful woman in a tempting red dress? Nathan himself had been the one looking for and trapping him. The information was not invalidated because Nathan was certain that Elliot had been there before. Jean's words also confirmed it.
"Are you sure you didn't do anything to me?"
Antonio sighed, perplexed by this woman's thought process, blaming and accusing him of doing something wrong. It should be him feeling anxious and worried. Antonio was the one at a disadvantage if he couldn't find any leads on Elliot. Even now, his identity was in doubt. Would this woman make things easier? Or would she ruin all of Antonio's plans? Oh, she could have been deliberately sent to hinder all of Antonio's activities. Perhaps she was sent to send Antonio to jail?
Damn Elliot, to hell with him!
The man was furious and chose to remain silent.
"Hey... are you listening to me?" the woman forcibly demanded his attention. "Hello, I'm talking to you!"
Antonio could only roll his eyes lazily and briefly glance at the naked woman before finally tossing her some oversized shirts and loose shorts. He wasn't a hypocrite or naive, so he had seen it all before – the slender body, enticing round breasts, firm buttocks that fit perfectly in his grasp, the porcelain-like and seductive exotic skin. No, Antonio had experienced it all before. He acknowledged that the woman in front of him had more value than any other woman who had ever been in his bed. If it were on a scale, this woman might be at a level of 90 out of 100. Her body was perfect. However, Antonio couldn't touch her until he was certain she wasn't sent by Elliot, let alone had any intention of trapping him.
"Sir, why did you bring me here and undress me on your bed?!"
"Shut up," Antonio sighed softly, then his hand reached for the cigarette lying on the table. He held it between two fingers, lit it, took a deep drag, and blew the smoke in front of the woman's face.
Rose immediately coughed, trying to dispel the smoke in front of her.
"Oh my, you're so rude!" she complained.
"That's why, quickly put on those clothes or wear your dress, and let's talk about business," Antonio said nonchalantly.
Next, she walked towards the living room. In that room, Nathan was already preparing breakfast. The man was busy in front of the stove, toasting slices of bread, frying sunny-side-up eggs, making an omelet, and also pouring milk and orange juice from the newly taken packages in the refrigerator. The man skillfully handled the knife, and his hands moved with professionalism. It was as if Nathan was the chef in his own kitchen. Rose finally decided to just put on her red dress again and quickly left the room to follow the strange man who took her home.
The woman wondered to herself why she had to be trapped with the scoundrel Elliot, who ended up selling her to a pimp for night workers, just because she was promised some money to help with her mother's medical expenses. But, on the other hand, Rose did need that money. It would be a lie to say that she didn't hope that her damn stepfather would actually help her. But upon further reflection, Rose also knew that relying on Elliot was no different than expecting the moon to split in half overnight. It was something highly improbable, and Rose shouldn't have believed his words for a moment. In fact, it was too late for regrets now because she had already woken up in bed with an unfamiliar man, who happened to be very handsome. Oh, damn!
"Sit down quickly, you're taking forever!" Antonio complained impatiently.
Rose wanted to smack him, but curiosity still filled her chest. She wanted to know who exactly was the person in front of her right now and find Elliot.
"It seems like the dress was too small for you, Miss," this time the voice of the cook in the kitchen interrupted. His warm and distinctive smile greeted Rose's eyes and made her feel better. At least, he was better than the rude and angry man. "Last night, you fainted because the dress was too small for your body, Miss."
"Is that so?"
"What a fool. I already gave her a loose T-shirt and pants earlier," Antonio sneered, exhaling the smoke from his cigarette into the air. "Change quickly and don't inconvenience us."
In the end, all Rose could do was snort and then return to the room, undressing herself again to put on the loose-fitting T-shirt that matched the loose pants. The clothes were very ugly and uncomfortable to wear because they were too big, but Rose had no other choice but to wear them. She also didn't want to suddenly arouse the desires of the two men and become their prey here. Even though she was now a wretched woman who had been sold by that damn Elliot to a pimp named Jean, she still had some dignity as a human being, at least.
Shortly after, Rose returned to the living room with the clothes they had provided. Indeed, although they looked uncomfortable and loose, it was clear that the clothes didn't make it difficult for Rose to breathe to the point of fainting. Moreover, Rose now had a different goal. Whether she liked it or not, she had to play along with Antonio and Nathan for the time being. At least to ensure her own safety. Besides, now she had a more important mission than just thinking about the red dress or her status that had changed into the uncertain prostitute named Jean.
"Alright... so, what kind of business do you both offer?" Rose smiled mischievously, giving the impression of bravery and challenge.
And as soon as they saw her expression, Antonio burst into laughter until he choked on his own cigarette smoke. He wondered, which damned woman could look at him so calmly and boldly without any trace of fear?
Nathan then said, "You're quite daring, Miss Pennington."

Chapter 6From any angle Nathan looked at it, he truly admired Rose. Never before had he seen a woman as bold as Rose who could stare at Antonio with such seductive facial expressions. Marquez Antonio was a mafia boss, the owner of the largest drug cartel trade that was feared by those who lived in the underworld. Of course, the man was feared and respected even by civil authorities since the exposure of the drug cartel network due to Elliot's carelessness. However, behind all of that, Nathan had to admit that every woman in New York who saw Antonio would automatically fall in love with him with just one blink and one smile. At first, he thought it was an exaggeration to describe a man's charm, until Nathan saw it with his own eyes. Yes, perhaps Rose was an exception because she was naturally not one of those naughty women who chased after sex for mere satisfaction or pleasure."You're enthusiastic, that's good," Antonio extinguished his cigarette and gazed at Rose intently. "Let's se
Chapter 7Rose saw a chat message about that one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and she was ecstatic. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. The dark-skinned man she met earlier was nowhere near as attractive as he looked now, with a lascivious expression in Rose's eyes. What is this all about? Does Rose look a certain way? Like a cheap woman? She snorted and couldn't believe what was happening. Did a few hours in Jean's place turn her into the most desired prostitute? To the point that this crazy man wanted to buy her for a private contract? Madness! Rose hadn't fully accepted the fact that she had been sold by Elliot and had to serve the man who paid for her through Jean. Good Lord, why did this have to happen to Rose? What was her sin, oh God?"Why?" Antonio smiled smugly, then looked at Rose, who quietly clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. "Is this amount not enough for you, or are you surprised that your price turned out to be so high?"Rose remained silent. Hon
CHAPTER 8Rose went out in strange and embarrassing attire. But she didn't care at all. The streets were already crowded with people that morning. They started to pay attention to Rose from head to toe. Seeing the red dress she was carrying, the high-heeled shoes Rose wore, the messy makeup, and the improper loose clothing clinging to her body, anyone could guess that the woman had just spent the night at a man's house. Whether it was her boyfriend or a customer who paid her for the night. The neatly dressed women who were heading to the office looked at her disdainfully and whispered to each other to mock her. Meanwhile, the men who could still see the traces of Rose's innocent and sexy beauty whistled flirtatiously, hoping the girl would pause for a moment to indulge in their temptations. And of course, Rose didn't do that. She just focused on walking to the bus stop and quickly returned home."What kind of offer was that damn guy talking about?" Rose complained upon arriving home.
Chapter 9Upon hearing her daughter's words, Jasmine felt even more distressed instead of being calm. She truly felt useless and believed that she was a burden to her daughter, like a parasite clinging to her. Jasmine also felt that she might be a hindrance rather than a supportive mother to Rose and her future. Her mind felt chaotic, and suddenly, she felt a sense of guilt filling her chest.Regrets from the past came rushing in, making Jasmine even more agitated. If only she hadn't married Elliot and focused on supporting Rose and saving money for her daughter's education, up until college, instead of being swayed by her husband's sweet words. Surely, Rose wouldn't have to struggle like this now. The more she thought about it, the more Jasmine felt suffocated, and her breathing became unstable.Rose was preparing a glass of warm water and cutting an apple when she panicked and turned to see her mother clutching her chest. Jasmine looked visibly distressed and in pain. Rose immediate
Chapter 10Rose stood in front of the path leading to Antonio's house. However, her heart was filled with uncertainty. She didn't know if the steps she was taking were right or wrong. Nevertheless, she felt as though this was the only option she had. Jasmine wouldn't survive much longer without undergoing surgery. And even though the doctor had stated that the woman wouldn't fully recover, at least Rose knew that her mother could live a little longer. Despite feeling that her actions were reckless and inhumane, the conclusion that lingered in the girl's mind remained the same: Antonio was the only solution."Are you sure, Rose?" the girl asked herself. "Are you sure?"There was no answer in her head. Her intuition knew it wasn't the solution, but her logic justified that Antonio was the only answer."Was I too hasty yesterday?" she monologued. "God, but I don't want to become a vendor of desires obligated to satisfy men!"Rose took a deep breath, lowered her head, and then gazed strai
CHAPTER 11Rose saw Nathan, and the man approached her. Nath was watering the trees and small garden in his backyard. The man even smiled broadly when their eyes finally met."Did you catch me?" Rose smiled awkwardly. The man folded his arms, then looked Rose up and down, taking a deep breath. "Well... you look pretty rough for a woman who came back for a contract like that."Rose was initially taken aback, but in the end, she nodded and chuckled softly. It sounded pathetic, but Rose was certain that Nathan's words were true. Yesterday, she left Antonio's house in a pitiful state. Wearing shabby loose clothes and the same baggy overalls. And this time, she came with a plain appearance. Rose didn't even have time to take a shower."Well, I am indeed quite a mess, no matter what it is." Rose sighed deeply. Now the woman stood in front of Antonio's house, which was right next to Nath's house. She was only a few steps away from entering the gate, then knocking on the door and finding Anto
Chapter 12One second, two seconds, three seconds.Nathan's laughter exploded afterward, and Rose could only snort in frustration."Your jokes aren't funny!" she grumbled angrily. "What was that about?"As his laughter subsided, Nath looked at her with a serious expression on his face. Rose suddenly felt a cold aura emanating from his gaze. "Who said I was joking?"Rose suddenly felt like Nathan was playing with her. "Oh, so you're serious?""Just because I laughed doesn't mean it's not true." Nath smirked."Damn it!"Nathan laughed again, then glanced at the clock on the wall. "It's already noon. Let's meet Antonio. You can prove whether my earlier statement was a joke or not."Rose rolled her eyes lazily. She actually felt uncomfortable with Nathan. This man seemed friendly, but he wasn't. He seemed to enjoy teasing her and laughing at her foolishness. It was somewhat annoying for Rose. However, at the moment, Rose needed Nathan to connect her with Antonio. Only then could she make
Chapter 13Nath ended up with an ice pack on his face. His nosebleed had stopped, but there was clearly a bruise on his nose from Rose's impact. They sat facing each other in silence. The naked woman on Nathan's bed was still fast asleep, seemingly undisturbed by the noise they had made. The woman glanced briefly at Nath, and as soon as she realized that Rose was looking at her, Nath pretended to groan in pain."Stop acting!" Rose glared at him and hit Nath's muscular arm. "I won't apologize!""Don't you feel guilty towards me, huh?" Nath pleaded."I don't care." Rose turned away, and Nath laughed."You toyed with me, and now you're hurt because of me. Let's call it even," Rose added. "Now, take me to Antonio.""My boss won't be pleased to see you." This time, Nath said it seriously and honestly. Rose glared at him; she didn't believe Nath, but he quickly added, "I'm serious!"Rose still glared, unhappy."You hurt his feelings. You also rejected him harshly this morning. My boss, Marq
